Great visuals and atmosphere! I found the gameplay a little tricky. Units seemed to move too slow and the best score I achieved was when I just bolted over the river without making bridges or taking treasure. Overall though an enjoyable experience.

It's a cool game. Well done! I found the rate of fire to be a little frustrating maybe semi-automatic would be better?

Brilliant! Loved this one! The dialogue was hilarious and overall this is a polished game (please expand this!!!) The cave chicken is a legend! Haha. Nice work. I did notice a grammatical mistake on a part of the dialogue at the end when the Princess comments about her father only seeing what he wants to see. Also the Dragon fight music should loop seamlessly IMO so as not to break the atmosphere.

The music is a good fit for this game. Very relaxing. Unfortunately only the move controls worked for me using Microsoft Edge. I couldn't use tools or plant crops but it's a good start to the game. Well done!

Yes VR entries are allowed as long as the game adheres to the jam rules. I have a headset and would love to try a VR OGA game!

it can be done if you find the smart bombs and hold on to the power ups...but ye its a wee bit hard atm 😅

Thanks for waiting (yikes) I mistakenly used flac for the soundtracks. The MYSHMUP admin is kindly going to help me optimise the load time...👍

man this games addictive! Sound and music fit the game perfectly and the upgrade system is a nice touch. This would be a sic online multiplayer. Upgrade your ship to the Black Pearl :)

Cool game. Not very challenging atm but still enjoyable to play.

Thanks for the feedback and the ideas. Really appreciate it.It does need basic network permissions to fetch the scores...maybe a browser version would fix that? The score idea is great. I couldn't think of a way to make better use of that coz it is tricky to pull off 2 birds with one shot so it should be more rewarding and also tense for the player while multi mode is active...

The clones follow the path you just made. So walk to a  button first then clone, and your actions will be repeated by the clone at restart. While the clones busy perform the next action for the next clone as needed before it restarts again...

Good effort! It kept me engaged for a fair few rounds but it did feel a little easy. I hope you keep developing this.

This is a cool game. I like it! Very original. Its quite satisfying when you learn a new pattern and fire it out without thinking. Especially the 4 key patterns. Great job!

An original idea born 6 decades or so too late :) Seriously though it is really engaging for a gridiron noob like me who only knows the sport through playing Madden on the Megadrive... Love the music and sfx choices. That really helps set the stage in your imagination. Villains and Heroes are also excellent team names!

good to know. Cheers!

hehe. Keep hitting multis without missing and you can rack up the points. There is some luck involved though...

wow! Nice work! Thanks for sharing.

sweeet! It will be the nes one for me 😉

It's not against the rules. The only concern is that folks may have to install scratch but If it's a standalone exe then there is no hassle for anyone who wants to download and play. Should be good matey!

Hey mate, in case you didnt know...

In order to enter a game made with scratch online, follow these instructions after you have set up a game page on itch:-

1. Set 'Kind of Project' to Downloadable

2. Select 'Add External File' (it's to the right of the 'Upload File' and 'Choose From Dropbox' buttons)

3. Change type from Executable to Source Code.

4. Copy and paste the Scratch URL for the game into the 'http://' section.

The 'Download' button on your new itch page will now take players directly to your browser playable Scratch game!

You can now enter your game into any game jam!

Anyone is allowed to rate the games and provide feedback. There is one special category which only hosts can manually rate based on how many of chasersgaming assets were used.

Can you please outline which 6 assets you used from OpenGameArt.org ? Otherwise the game may not be eligible and will unfortunately have to be removed from the jam. Kind Regards.

These jams are put together by the community over at https://opengameart.org/. A fantastic place to source graphics, music and sfx that you can use in your games at no cost! It's also a great place to hang out in general and be inspired by fellow gamers ;)

You can find the Jam here:

OpenGameArt Summer 2021 Game Jam - itch.io

We love to see games made using the fantastic (and free) assets made available on OGA. It is an excellent way to thank the very generous artists that contribute to the game dev community which ultimately helps bring countless projects to fruition.

Get involved and we'll see you there!

Here are some tips on how to vote/rate using the 5 star system.....

1 star :-

Is obviously poor quality. A broken game that offers no enjoyment.

I urge you to reserve 1 star ratings for games that are un-playable and therefore can be neither criticised nor praised.

2 stars :-

A game in its very early stages of development e.g. unfinished game loop or lacking a story.

Game Jam time constraints should be considered however and potential should be recognised. Some things may have been implemented well like solid player controls for example.

This should be taken into account when leaving constructive feedback.

3 stars:-

These games are good, very playable and fun.

You may find however that some elements don't quite work or the game is not balanced,

e.g. enemies/A.I. are too difficult or you get stuck at some point and can't continue.

These games should get a mostly positive review. Make sure to leave suggestions on how to improve the game along with info about any bugs you encountered.

4 stars:-

A really good experience. Solid game design that is very well implemented.

You may notice minor glitches in the game but nothing major that interrupts the gameplay.

e.g. missing sound effects, graphical glitches or any other small quirks that grab your attention.

5 stars:-

Thoroughly enjoyable and well made. Reserve 5 stars for a game that impressed you from start to finish.

Keep in mind the nature of Game Jams and these games may not be perfect but if the very minor discrepancies didn't bother you at all and you had fun throughout then it's a 5 star game.

Nice work on updating the game. A few difficulty tweaks are needed as others have mentioned. The bubble being a layer of defense is a good idea. Overall an excellent entry and a good use of assets from OGA :)

Love this game! A very chilled out adventure. The relaxing atmosphere made me want to explore and enjoy the experience. Graphics are superb and a vast improvement over the original. The tweaks made to the level layout and gameplay are also heaps better. A solid and engrossing adventure. Looking forward to further updates!

Love the style of this one and the music is excellent also. The art is has been improved a lot since the first build. Well done! I may have found a bug...when I tried the Forrest level and racked up a score, then jumped over to the space level, the level starting at the same point as the previous one i.e. same distance and speed but the obstacles hardly spawned.

This is a cool game! I love the original pirate/ninja adventure. I hope you keep developing this. Well done!
