I feel like presentation still needs a lot of work, but it seems a little better. What do you think? Also does it feel "janky" to you?

She's so cute! :)

And thank you for giving my game a try! I actually have another dress up game coming out soon . . .

There isn't a visible theme on the home page?

This is going to be the first Thailand based game I've ever made. This should be interesting! :)

The first games as we know it were probably made from sticks and stones, and drawn into the mud.  My point still stands.

Human beings are inventive, and if he want's to make a game in powerpoint it's not impossible.

I believe the theme is "Trick or Treat", but you HAVE to include the TV model somewhere in the game. There are two optional mechanics they list as well. Their other free assets are completely optional.

It's not made very clear imo.

I'm pretty sure you have to use the model.

A game can be made about anything with anything.

Maybe you should start a server for the jam.

Always! :) , here is a link to our server if you would like to join https://discord.gg/UH53tAQn

What's the game about?

Our game is going to be a 3D, sci-fi , post-apocalyptical adventure game! We are currently in discussion about the features and story line. Our game is a community game, that means people of all skill levels are welcome to contribute, even if it's just a little.

It means a lot to us, and keeping us motivated.

General Vibes of The Game?

Dark, Gritty, Action packed . . .

Who’s On Our Team?

Right now we are a small team, but we do intend on growing. We have two developers and myself ( general support ),  a 3D artist ( who you will provide concepts for ).

What’s Done So Far?

We are currently discussing features, for the game, and the games "Wow"-factor. Work has begun on prototype 0.1. We don't have any art done yet.

The Ideal Candidate . . .

Robot Concept Artist - Someone who can design & draw robots ( friendly or hostile ), cyborgs, Mechas,  or androids  in T-Poses so our 3D artist can begin working! :)

Character Concept Artist - Someone who can design & draw humanoid characters in T-poses for our 3D artist.

Environment Concept Artist - Someone who can  design & draw environments in a post apocalyptical setting.

The Ideal Candidate . . .

GDscript Developers - You can be a GDscript expert or an absolute beginner! We are open to any skill level! Just bring your A - Game.

Bug Testers ( QA ) - If you are interested in breaking our prototypes, this could be the job for you!

This is unpaided volunteer work.

We would like you to:

  • Help create world-building
  • Major Quest ( and side quest in the future )
  • Plan In-game locations
  • Character Names and Descriptions
  • Item names and descriptions
  • ( potentially ) write dialog between Player Character & NPC

If you are interested or think you can help on one of these things, please message this post and I will invite you to our Project Discord server.

1. Is there a discord?

2. Is there a twitter/bluesky hastag we can use when we make a submission?

Little Update: I still haven't decided what I want to post here exactly, but I have noticed an increase in Christian developers ( atleast in my circles ), so just incase any other Christian developers stumble across my thread I may post some verses you'll find useful/inspirational here!! Starting with this one:

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the lord and not for men.

I think this verses means we should work hard/diligently, and make games that honor the lord. Sometimes I've found this hard to accomplish, but it's definitely  not impossible if you keep working at it.   ╰(*°▽°*)╯

Asking if "Godot and Redot are identical"  is like asking if  Magikarp and Gyarados are identical . . .

One is the natural evolution of the other.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. This was my first time making a dress up game and I knew I had to really practice before making this because this type of game relies on visuals.

Happy New Year! :)

Redot Engine. Best Engine.  😎

"The engine drama is real" . . . almost . . . Unreal.

Like. Comment. Subscribe. 😎

This is a really cute game! Great work! :)

Good luck! Jams are great experiences for growing your planning and  time management skills! :)

feel free to post a link in this thread if you'd like! :)

My games aren't very good ( yet ), since I'm still trying to learn my engine and improve. But if you would like to check out one of my games, try "Baltimore Penitentiary: Code GALE". I think it's my best one so far ( and also not a tech demo ). It does have some UI bugs and text bugs, unfortunately.  Although I do feel like my games are improving, my older games are almost embarrassingly  bad/poorly made.

So cool!!!!!! :)

Is there a theme for this jam?

Please make a discord! :)

Hi,  I'm a Christian developer, and I was wondering if there are any other Christian developers out there who want to share their games or experiences as a Christian Developer in general.

~~ I  will add some Icebreaker questions to this post later ( as I'm busy atm ).  ~~

I may also post scripture in this thread and it's connection to game development regularly, so feel free to subscribe/follow this thread!

I hope you have a blessed day!

Idk why category organization like this isn't already built into this website. If you don't know CSS how can someone get a page like this set up? Is this even wise? ( knowing a site update might make the page inaccessible?

I found about 24 monsters! :D

I like this concept, but controls are a little difficult to use on browser

I like this comment lol

That's fine! Just do you're best. :)

Hi, are you capable of making a "girly" sounding song like this:

I'm currently working on a girly, Halloween candy game for a game jam, and I would love something like this for the main theme.

Ben Weeds was my favorite character. I liked the profile art for the Westwood and the other characters, it was charming. I also thought the black bar over their mouths was a nice touch when they cursed.

That duck looks like the linux duck! XD

The sprites moving around made it a little hard to see differences on the sprites. Otherwise fun game :)
