As for the current games, they are all mostly prototypes but they are also Carbon Negative interactive fiction games, you improve the environment when you play. We are upgrading them soon, this is why we are recruiting, they are prototypes.

I've gone ahead and added this section to the existing About Us:

How Fastfrwrd Works

Fastfrwrd is to be seen as a purposeful Facebook alternative, with 300% renewable hosting (through GreenGeeks.com) where for each unit of dirty energy used to power the site, 3 units of green energy are bought so as to never have to use the dirty energy again eventually. The purpose of the site is to prevent Climate Change. Facebook has a timeline, groups, a marketplace, games, and gatherings. So does Fastfrwrd, but everything here is in the aim of making the planet greener, think of it as an entire environment to facilitate more and more people to work, play and live Carbon Neutrally.

A typical Fastfrwrd flow can look like this: Post on social; if you do something green, post for points; use points to buy stuff in games or on the marketplace; sign up to be a vendor and offer eco rewards to others from the marketplace as well; share information on group Docs to enable better eco action; host gatherings around eco topics and cowork with others to build your reputation and get reviews on your eco work; get better social and IRL (in real life) rewards from building your reputation. Each thing flows into the other.

Sure, I think the About Us page probably coloured your view of everything else as a derivative of the 'murky' origins of the project but sure. I am working on making the nature of the website ecosystem clearer for people who are used to websites that do one thing only. The main idea is that the site is a purposeful Facebook type alternative with all you need to work, live and play carbon neutrally in one place. We are doing a makeover of the website, it's already planned out. And yes, we do want someone working on renewables more than we care about them being capable, capability can be learned, solar power is needed now. For anyone overwhelmed, we have an onboarding game we are making at this moment and the homepage will have a more interactive explanation of the site ecosystem.

In the meantime: Post on social, if you do something green post for points, use points to buy stuff in games or on the marketplace, sign up to be a vendor and offer eco rewards to others from the marketplace as well, share information on group Docs to enable better eco action, host gatherings around eco topics and cowork with others to build your reputation and get reviews on your eco work, get better social and IRL rewards from building your reputation. Each thing flows into the other.

Hey all!

Fastfrwrd.info is all about Carbon Neutral gaming, socializing and organizing! We gamify climate action! We are doing a tentative recruitment of a Unity coder (or 2) who has solar or wind or other renewable energy powering their home so that the work they do for us is carbon neutral. You can also offset your time spent coding for us through our Tree planting partner, Trees.org whose wholesale price for trees is $0.35 USD . One tree absorbs 10kg per annum. Of course that's not a fun option so we are more hoping for someone who is running on renewables to code for us!

We have a games multiverse that is roaring to life currently, and the only reason we can't make splashy awesome games is because we don't have a green way to run engines like Unity or Unreal etc. We like Unity as the best a corporate entity can be as far as that exists because they tax the rich. So no problem using Unity.

We have Game Design Documents for some games in our multiverse that all have to do with metaphors for modern issues related to sustainability and social justice. We have a points for environmentalism process where Dews (points) can be spent in games and on the marketplace.  This makes the games green. We tend to like Opensource stuff, or fair corporate deals and we have several avenues for fair and unexploitative monetization. We don't like Google. So no Playstore. Games likely WebGL builds hosted on itch.

We get at least 100 profile views per day and cohost "Solarpunk Presents" podcast and average between 1.1k and 4k downloads per month. We namedrop Fastfrwrd every episode. We are growing slowly but people don't sign up for a community with no community. However they will once there are games to spend Dews on. Who's our coder?

If you would like to work on this, please either email hi (at) fastfrwrd.info, message @Wheelsgr on Fastfrwrd or message @Wheelsgr on Discord

TO BE CLEAR: We do not have more members not because people don't want to join but because we have only been promoting Carbon Neutrally. We have now figured out a very simple and effective marketing strategy, we now have a path towards growth.

Bump because we need a video editor as well now!

We can talk and see if it's a match on discord @Wheelsgr

Hey that all sounds awesome! Please find me @Wheelsgr on Discord or email hi (at) fastfrwrd.info!

Hey, if you are interested I have a games for impact project fastfrwrd.info where we gamify climate action, if you're interested we have a small game we are making in a short time to let people know about the site and the game worlds we create stories about. It's branching narrative in twine with videos and voice acting. @Wheelsgr on Discord if you wanna talk more!

Hi!

I am working on a game that shows all the use cases for my environmental website, Fastfrwrd.info where we gamify climate action. The idea is to make a Twine branching narrative story with videos of voice acting and images that you can play or if the viewer is deaf, there is the text version, and the text can auto translate with our site translator if the person does not speak English. The idea is to take 1 to 2 weeks max to make an onboarding game for the site. Work will be revshare and we will sign an agreement to that effect. Assistance for ensuring it goes well can be:

1. Writing Assistance (it is a narrative style game based on our multiverse and introduces the game worlds we will be building while also explaining use cases for the website, i.e. how you can use it as a community, an individual, what kind of features there are etc. as if the characters in these story worlds are using the website too.)

2. Voice Acting  (for the video of each branch section)

3. Twine Coding (we are using the Harlowe editor, if you know how to make Twine games super aesthetically pleasing, welcome)

4. Art (this will be for making videos in Canva that illustrate the action or make the text come to life with great typography interaction or some other way to make the audio drama come to life but also getting done in the next week or two basically.)

5. Video editor (put together Canva videos of character, speech bubble with changing icon per sentence, background, voice acting and music)

[We have interviewed a few people and have tentatively filled the crossed out roles but if you still want to reach out, do so!]

We currently get about 100 profile views per day or so and we have a podcast that we use as a mouthpiece for the project that gets between 1.1k and 4k downloads per month depending on episode release frequency. We are growing and your revshare will be a part of the marketplace earnings for as long as we make use of your work, renegotiated on an annual basis or as needed with an exit clause.

If you would like to work on this, please either email hi (at) fastfrwrd.info, message @Wheelsgr on Fastfrwrd or message @Wheelsgr on Discord

Hey, if you're still looking for voice acting work, I have a revshare project, @Wheelsgr on Discord

No worries, all the best hope you find the project of your dreams! Haha :)

Hey there, I also write and compose and my project Fastfrwrd.info is all about gamifying climate action and making Carbon Neutral Games so that people have stuff to entertain themselves with when they visit our eco platform! We are planning a story rich games multiverse with regular releases, lots of writing possibly needed. We work revshare and our goal is to SAVE THE WORLD! Not a big ask at all, right? Ha. Well, we think we can be a part of it. Solar and wind outpaced gas energy worldwide in April, we're kind of winning this thing despite how it seems! We're humans, we can do it! If you wanna be involved, here's our email: hi (at) fastfrwrd.info

Hey there, we may need some assistance with games writing. We make games for impact for ecology and to fight climate change with fun but accurate messages. If you are keen, please email hi (at) fastfrwrd.info

We are making a Farm sim for Farm Jam 2026, we want to test out using PlayCanvas which is Javascript and web based meaning we can make carbon neutral games by running the engine in Ecosia, the green browser. Its not unity or godot etc so you may not be interested. We are a games for impact project, focusing on stopping climate change so it's very important for us to run ecologically. But we just want to make a small and fun farming sim demo, really short, to test out how PlayCanvas feels. You can email us at: hi (at) fastfrwrd.info for more.

Sounds great!  We need QA  more than localization because most of our games auto translate currently. Please email hi (at) fastfrwrd.info

Bump

Hey, we are trying to join the Farm Jam 2026 starting tomorrow, we make games for impact (good cause) email if you are interested: hi (at) fastfrwrd.info

Hey Mustard, I have a farming sim game i would like to demo during Farm Jam 2026 starting tomorrow! I know it's short notice but if you are interested, email hi (at) fastfrwrd.info it's for a larger games for impact project.

Hey all! I have a fun idea for a farming sim that I designed a while ago and now would like to try to demo it during the jam! I don't use Discord anymore so I am looking for a team here. I write, design a bit, make music, direct art and project manage. Would love to test out the PlayCanvas game engine for the jam. The reason is because I have a larger games project and we plan on doing augmented reality for our central games but want it to be browser based so it's accessible, any phone can play. For that reason a Javascript based engine seems more suitable, and keeping everything on one engine seems best.

NEEDED:

  • Javascript PlayCanvas Coder or, since it's short notice, a C# Unity Coder
  • 2D Artist

Working together would be a trial run if you are interested to join the larger games project we have, Fastfrwrd.info where we gamify climate action! It is mature, revshare based and soon to be properly monetized. It's a good time to hop on board.

Feel free to reach out for any reason (eg more info on gaming for the planet, playtesters needed!) at: hi (at) fastfrwrd.info

Hi there, I have a farming sim game design I have been sitting on for a while, and I am interested in making games in PlayCanvas just as long as React is not a necessary part of it and only optional. If this is the case, it may be the best game engine option for the purposes of my project. I am looking for a coder familiar with or interested in PlayCanvas to test drive the engine during the Farm Jam 2026 Summer Madness lasting 30 days. It starts soon! Link: https://itch.io/jam/farm-jam-2026-summer-madness

My project is Fastfrwrd.info where we gamify climate action and have a multiverse of games, including the farming sim I wanna try bringing to life as a demo from this jam. I write, design, make music, direct art and project manage. I would also need an artist for this jam so if you have suggestions for that too, very good!

Please reach out by email if you wish to work together, I don't use Discord anymore, email: hi (at) fastfrwrd.info

The Stellar is a Lunarpunk TTRPG that explores a future in turmoil in 2066 where most ecological disasters have been averted but social unrest remains; magic of a sort is burgeoning, growing; and institutions named Stellars have popped up around the globe for the study of ecology, sociology, tradition, ancestral practices, psychology, philosophy, and the numinous. This game is made for the Fastfrwrd.info platform where we gamify climate action on 300% renewable hosting, rendering your game play Carbon Negative. The more you play, the better for the environment.

Lunarpunk is what happens to a Solarpunk society at night, and Solarpunk is about nature and technology working for the betterment of humanity in a Climate Safe future.

Strictly 18+ Players as the Story Book has adult scenes

Name of System: Hopefully a Unique Stellar System (we have not made a big study of existing TTRPG systems and are simply working on an instinctive creation process) based on custom Lunarpunk tarot cards, your character's birth date and name numerology, and your numerology's relation to the lunar cycle, dictating 'magic' potency and opportunities for strategy.

Number of Players:  3 to 11 synchronous, unlimited asynchronous in the Fastfrwrd Stellar Group (The Stellar is being made in order to provide a spectator 'sport' of sort and LARPable game world for entertaining both players and non players, and making climate action LARPable.)

Approximate Session Length: 1 to 2 hours, maybe longer, ongoing asynchronous play for in between sessions on Fastfrwrd

 Testing Period: 2 months

Other Details: The game world touches on alternate history, body horror, and delicate mechanics that require careful handling. The game can be translated automatically on our site so if we play asynchronously and workshop that, any language can be incorporated. For synchronous play, we will host games on the Carbon Neutral Crewdle Connect video communication tool.

Hey there,

At https://Fastfrwrd.info we gamify climate action and make it fun to save the planet. We operate as Carbon Neutrally as possible. We have a games multiverse of hiveminds, werewolves, ghosts, a dimension where indigenous people thrived undisturbed, and thought experiment games around Solarpunk and Lunarpunk ideals. We currently have some work open:

  • Art (2D for visual novel characters and backgrounds, homepage map art, 2D sprites and possible animations) UPDATE: FOUND OUR ARTIST
  • Writing (I write but the projects are story rich)
  • Voice acting (we are working on green hosting options or compensation of emissions from audio streaming)
  • Climate science (to make tooltips that you hover over to find out the science behind the metaphor our games use)
  • Additional Programming (Javascript in house, any engine welcome for affiliated projects. We need programming to speed taking our games from simple prototype to engaging and interactive games, and people are welcome to make spin off games, branching out our games multiverse to include affiliated games, all so people have more and more carbon neutral games to play, keeping them on the site as much as possible, games made carbon neutral by our eco points offset process)
  • Game design (to improve the quality of the gaming experience across various I.P.s [intellectual properties])
  • Community growth and management (we get lots of views but few sign ups, we want the site to look better and the games to include our website points system which will encourage sign ups)
  • Playtesters (we have some exciting games being workshopped like a plant based cooking assistant game with a planned 'versus' mode already prototyped)

If you are interested, fill in our volunteer form here: https://fastfrwrd.info/blog/qsm_quiz/volunteer-form/

bump!

bump :)

Not actively pursuing non profit avenues as they require you to spend half the year basically begging. The idea is to use the monetization features to make it self reliant. So charging both site eco points and cash for special choices, special gear and other things in games, maybe a carbon tax when doing a cookoff to buy a tree and give us a small cut, stuff like this where its not exclusionary (eco points can be earned by anyone, its not quite freemium) but also we have the potential to earn, this plus the marketplace, if we do it well, should mean that we can pay ourselves!

bump :p

Hey there! Fastfrwrd is bootstrapping its growth or working to earn from our marketplace but no sales as yet, just a bunch of views! People are waiting until our community site is a community to get involved.

So about this (unpaid) position.

Fastfrwrd gamifies climate action. If you love games, you know that a BOSS enemy means you fight long and hard to bring them down! That's climate. And we want to create an ecosystem for that Hero's Journey.

From what you buy, to how you socialize, to how you entertain yourself. We want to be THE PLACE where everyone goes for all things Carbon Neutral.

POSITION:

You will be asked to work on an augmented reality plant-based cooking assistant game with a versus mode where you can Look For Game or Look For Date! Be your own Iron Chef and face off against other challengers!

This game is a part of the Fastfrwrd multiverse of games all about making it FUN to save the planet!

The game should be coded using AR.js (Javascript) in order to be browser-based and accessible. Can be incorporated into a Unity (C#) project. We use 2D art preferably.

You are asked to have experience and show portfolio of online games (no downloads)

Perks

*You have a lot of input in shaping the vision and game worlds of a promising project with a lot of work put in it

*We are based in Jamaica and you are welcome to visit and have a couch on the island if you do.

*You can hop on our podcast we co-host, "Solarpunk Presents"

Work Conditions:

Working in these positions means you cannot make use of most AI tools, your work has to be carried out carbon neutrally (e.g. using Ecosia browser, Canva for multimedia, solar power if you have it). We make it a part of the promise of the platform to operate carbon neutrally. We also tend to boycott billionaires.

So if you avoid AI, work eco and avoid billionaire products, you are a Fastfrwrd worker! <3 It gives you something to talk about on the podcast too ;)

Please note once more, this is not a salaried position but we get a lot of views and these need to become sign ups! Revenue (money) will come from this. It is our job to make the platform super appealing in order to get there.

Please note, this post will be compensated out of our first pay-out.

CHALLENGE: Making games Carbon Neutrally

TEAM CONFIGURATION POSSIBILITIES: Coder, Artist, Writer, Offsetter

PRIZES: An island sustainabilty course, an incoming book on resistance, and Fastfrwrd.info website points which can buy digital items and services

RESTRICTIONS: Games must make at least one allusion to the Fastfrwrd multiverse of solarpunk and lunarpunk worlds with elements of fantasy and ecological disruption. Games must be made carbon neutrally in Twine or if you can make and play the game carbon neutrally another way... that would also be welcome! However it's easiest to use Ecosia, build a Twine game in browser and we publish it on Fastfrwrd unless it has disturbing subject matters.

THIS POST WILL BE COMPENSATED.

GAME ON?

This was really nice

Hey!

I have an ongoing games project that has many narratives. They are united by a central gameworld that possesses interdimensional travel and can visit all these game worlds. We are targeting grown ups but it is not "Adult" by nature, it simply leaves room for it.

I have a couple interactive fictions to turn into visual novels (narrative and music ready, just need art and programming).

I also have other game IPs that can be adapted to new games and polished.

All games are to be tied to the points system of my platform where points are earned when you do something ecological.

I am currently seeking:

  • A programmer willing to work in GDevelop, or at worst a Unity programmer, I would rather learn GDevelop with a programmer however and we work on the game together that way.
  • A character artist for a visual novel
  • A background artist for visual novel
  • Ideally a UI designer for visual novel

I have two Naninovel seats and may go back to Unity just for the sake of getting the job done but Gdevelop is highly preferred.

Please be around 25 and older.

Games should be made-for-mobile and the game app will cost $2.99 on the playstore or if we work out a way to pump out continuous content and game levels then it would graduate to a subscription-based model, where each payment plants a tree. Fair revshare pay structure and great ambitions in the world of climate, games and social impact.

Check my profile for more about the types of games we make and if you have ideas on how to raise the bar, please get in touch - even if your skills above are not mentioned but you are interested. https://wheelsgr.itch.io
