I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
I played around a lot in Aseprite and figured out how to make the spray can effect and got a little carried away, but it was fun to make :p
I’m especially glad to hear it wasn’t frustrating. I will say there are parts that can be a bit tricky, but I’m glad we were able to make it enjoyable for you :D
This was so much fun. The fakeout was completely unexpected, I almost forgot it was a thing! It was hilarious. I do wish there was a way to move faster or even hold multiple items- especially small things such as the keys. There wasn't exactly anything bad about it honestly other than the speed. I loved it! Definitely would play again
This is a really nice game! I love that you dedicated it to Sergei. I don't know much about Boulder's Gate, but it reminded me a lot of Papers, Please which I do know about. Some of the passports were really difficult to read, and it took me a couple of days in the game to understand the controls. Amazing work!
It's so addicting-
With that being said, there wasn't necessarily anything bad. It is repetitive and doesn't have much gameplay wise, but it's oddly fun. It also didn't have much of a genre fakeout (which to be fair that was forgotten in voting but it still needs to be taken into account). Did have a lot of fun, leaving it running in the background to gain points
Edit: I retract my statement, 100/10 game. The golden labubu is mine
I will say, the dialogue was entertaining. The battle system itself was alright, I liked how it showed on the walls which type is weak to which, same for effective. The art was also really nice, I love seeing 2D art in a 3D space. However, the genre fakeout wasn't much of a fakeout. It seemed liked a different type of minigame is all. The character in the fruit catch moved far too slow for it to be enjoyable to play the minigame. Overall, it's alright. The fruit ninja type minigame was fun.
