This is really fun. It feels very polished and has really good art! I wish the shield did more, it feels kinda useless since you can't attack or anything while you're using it. Also, when the shield deactivates, you can't start charging any attacks, so if you hold down click while that's happening, you'll never fire unless you release click and then click again. I was trying to make as good a use of the shield as possible, but it felt futile. Still really really cool, I like this game a lot, great job!

This is really beautiful and surprisingly addictive. I think you also did a good job with the limitation! You have a really fun gameplay loop, if you just added more content I think it would be even more fun! Still, really good I very much enjoyed this. I also wish there was an end condition. Maybe you could add a gamemode where you have limitied time and have to kill as many guys as possible, though I think you'd need more variety in tools before that happened. If not that, just a final upgrade worth like 2000g would be good enough to say "I completed this game".
The SFX is nice and I like the art, but its kinda missing that urgency you want in a game like this. You really can just keep going forever. Maybe make the size control thing an item, like rather than typing in your time, you find a +5 item. Or maybe it's a separate minigame to increase time. Those ideas aren't the best, sorry. I just think some kind of resource management of time is necessary. Still, it's fun to put things in the bag and I like the physics interactions. The game is good and it has potential to be even better!
I don't think it would have made it much easier, just faster. Since injuring the organs requires damaging the body, you're forced to wait without doing anything, but if there was some way to heal, the player would have more constant action I think. Still, don't think I'm trying to say the game was bad at all, I very much enjoyed it!
This game was cool and had some fun little puzzle ideas. It didn't take me too long to beat overall. I wish you used the mechanic where when a mosquito is smashed on the ground without a wall behind it, you can jump over it. Still very neat indeed! I would say the limitation is kinda just tacked on at the end, but I really did the same thing lol. Good game indeed!
Pretty fun! I didn't quite beat it, but I was really close. There is more strategy than I thought, as it is more effective to space out your orc placement rather than using them all at once so you can passively grow souls. I like the idea of when your units die you get a kind of refund, that made it feel like you could get a really good combo going. I would say that the hero feels a little too spongey and sometimes it feels like we do too little damage. Like I had almost 10 orcs on a guy and then they weren't doing much damage at all. There was also a bug that happened to me twice where I spawned in an enemy (first 1 wolf and then 4 orcs) and they just stood there without attacking and without being attacked. Still, overall really good especially for a game jam.
I beat the game. It was fun, but unless there is some way to heal it takes way to long to heal naturally. The minigame is a nice way to pass the time while you wait, since on low health the hear becomes faster and harder to predict. Maybe you could make it so that collecting red blood-cells heals the player? Still, much better with the ability to turn off the minigame, great job!
I'm replaying it with this in mind. I swear I read the tutorial, I just thought by play button it would mean a big ol' thing would appear in the center of the screen and when the tv was already on I just assumed it wasn't there. Is there any way to heal the guy that I also missed? Rn I'm typing this while waiting for them to heal
Wowza, I really like the movement and concept. It was so cool learning you could jump while powered off, and at first I thought the fire extinguisher was dumb and the the next like 4 levels made me think it was awesome. I love almost all the levels, but in the last few levels I felt like I was just trying to precisely click so that I could fit through a few holes. Still, really good game design overall. I don't know the limitations of Pico, but if possible I also would've loved a level select! I also saw you say time was a limit and I would love if you added a bit more to the game (like sound) after the jam is over, I would probably replay it every once in a while if it had sound and level select honestly, the movement is just really fun!
I like the concept a lot, and great use of the limitation, you definitely feel like an enemy. I do wish maybe there was like a flash or some kind of signal for when to click the heart, because I click in rhythm with the heart, but delayed by a bit and so I fail. Also, you have to decide between clicking the heart of playing the minigame, but not clicking the heart does nothing and not playing the minigame means you're gonna be hurt so you kinda just have to always be playing the minigame and since the heart requires rhythm if you try to switch back and forth you just end up killing your human. I do like the music a lot and overall I think the game is very fun, plus I experienced no bugs. Awesome game for a game jam, maybe just requires some balance tweaks.
This is really sweet, and I appreciate how you left another comment saying more of the upsides, that is very nice. I never experienced the blowtorch bug so thanks for telling me about that! The sound loops, and so when you lose I probably just forgot to turn it off if you're still holding it lol. I definitely want to update it to fix a couple bugs and make the elements not overlap, and I'm so glad you enjoyed!
Tysm! I'm glad you liked it, my record is like 125 so that's actually really close. The "story" of the game is that you're trying to explode the reactor, that's why you gotta keep the reactor temp up and why it says (the core exploded) if you beat normal mode. Exploding a nuclear reactor is (probably) evil, so that was my intent, but it's definitely hard to understand just from context clues lol. I'll definitely check out your game!
Really good for a game jam. 11 levels is crazy. I think earlier on it would have done some good to have the player use the sprint and bullet mechanic a bit more. At level 4 I almost got stuck and quit before remembering I could freeze, and it was never established we could jump on them, so the distance + the lack of info made it really difficult. Level 10 also seems evil, once you do the pattern if you mess up once you gotta do the pattern again! I know these kind of games don't usually let you control which iteration does what, but it took me like 5 tries and I was pretty annoyed tbh. I also don't like how small the safe area is, since I kept on running into myself even with it there. The voice acting at the start is so cool tho, very glados. Overall really good, I'm surpised more people haven't tried it. Also it feels rude to the other commenter, but you definitely are the enemy, your past iterations (you) are killing you. You're your own worst enemy.
I do like the concept and I think it is a good take on the limitation and theme. I do think that maybe the white player could have had simpler AI even. It feels like we lack the control to meaningfully direct him, so having him avoid us just leads to waiting. If he followed a path (even a mostly random one) that might be better, but I don't actually know if that would work :p. Still very cool and I appreciate the sound
I wish there was a win screen lol. Decently sure I beat it since the number above the uranium stopped appearing. It was definitely sneaky placing the 40 thing where you had to jump, without even mentioning you could jump. I like the art and the music is endearing. You do have a bug where you can make the reactor temperature go below 0, I got it to -340, and the man never appeared at the door more than once for me.
I really like the gameloop here, but I do wish there was some indicator besides looking for when the guy was there. A sound queue or a maybe like something you could buy that would alert you once and then you have to buy it again? Still, very fun. (Also you were the first person to play my game tysm)
I love the pixel art, and it's a very impressive system for a jam, but I would say the enemies seem a bit too spongey and it feels like you can just be stuck for ages shooting 12 enemies stacked on top of each other when they break through your defenses. Maybe more enemies less health? I do like how you execute the limitation though. Your strength turns into the enemies strength, plus the king is just a jerk. Overall, really high quality, especially for a jam!
