I had a small question that I'm assuming is something wrong on my end lol - When I try to add the 2DSS template to my renpy (8.1.0, mac) I'm unable to open it through Renpy, with traceback showing a few errors (they stem back to start.rpy and test.rpy mainly, in script calls around lines 207-342)
Is there something I may be doing wrong/any known fixes? Am I just being silly lol. If anybody knows I am very open to listening! I'm not the best with Renpy TvT thank you :'D

What an awesome game, and in the time of the game jam it is even more impressive. I got so immersed in the game, I'm so excited for all the little bugs to be sorted out and to successfully defeat Death >:)
I love the use of the 5 stages of grief, and adore the customization with names, pets and voicing. Having voice acting at all was such an amazing thing to hear! Amazing art and visuals as well, the creativity is amazing. I think if there were to be anything added to the game (excluding the bug fixes, but these are given) maybe it would be cool to have the battles become more difficult and longer, as well as more dices (with defensive being more intriguing to use!)
Excited to see the future updates! Thank you for the amazing and unique game!
Such a cute game that used the theme in a really cool way :D I love the visuals! I agree that it did get pretty difficult with such a short timer and sensitive keys to advance in the game, but maybe I'm also just really bad at platformers lol. Would love to see a volume slider if you continue to update the game!
I wrote and finished all art the night before, I began working on ideas at the beginning of the jam! Time got away from me and I had to squish all the actual work in one night ;-;
Good to know! I'll look into designing a UI like that once the jam is all wrapped up >:) thank you so much for your feedback!
I got heavily invested in the story and characters, and played this over and over again to make sure I truly got everything from it. The choice of strictly dialogue and the way both characters communicate is so interesting, and seeing the somewhat spiral and history of the two of them and where they are now was such a rollercoaster in the best way. Aside from story I think the choices made aesthetically were amazing and fitting.
What a lovely game. Short yet concise, I got all of the info I needed to know in order to step into this world while also not being overwhelmed with years of lore and relationship knowledge. Amazing aesthetic and dialogue all around, everything felt like it was done perfectly and each element worked with one another to tie this game together.
FREDDY WHAT ARE U DOING HERE
What a touching story with amazing writing. Felt very personal, and the hidden message after was hitting hard. I loved discovering the note within the files, and think it's such a great way to expand a game. Also love all of the bonus content, was very fun to look through all of those. I also appreciate the goofy guy thats used for the game icon <3
I love the aesthetics chosen for this game, especially the GUI. The writing was truly something, and had a certain flair that I could never replicate; was extremely fitting for a game and story like this I feel like. I loved the amount of choices given! I did notice one other extremely small bug within the game during scene 3 I believe, where in the top left it says that one of the sprite images were missing in red text, just so you know if you do update the game after the jam is over!
I am in love with this game and its style. From the design and art to the silly dialogue and choices, all with the underlying creepiness...great game. I loveee how the order of choices truly effect the path you take. I want to know more about the cake, what WAS the cake. I must know. Make a cake game. LOL overall this was amazing, very much in tune with media I love. Happy birthday!
There are so many aspects I loved about this game! Not only do I love the multiple choices for character design and mc name, but the timed search for items was so impressive from a coding perspective to me! This along with the beautiful aesthetic and story made it an interesting game for sure. What an interesting twist later in the story as well, and how it's handled. Thank you for the gaming experience!
I loved the aesthetic and design of this game, and the amount of endings you can accomplish is always awesome! I only discovered two of the endings, both drastically different from one another which I loved. And the plot twist ! I think this is a solid VN with detailed art and a great usage of flashbacks when needed.
What a cool concept to accomplish, and in such a short time. I love VN games that are more than just a VN, and this game truly had that. I would say the biggest thing that took me away from the game and story was all of the bugs, but that comes with the short time to code. For bugs I personally got issues with different menus/buttons on the main menu and the text and windows within the game itself. Aside from bugs, I always love the custom name option, and I once again love how you took the concept of MMO/RPG games and usage of the apps that go with them, along with the people you meet and befriend. I will say that occasionally it was difficult to keep up with conversations as a person who doesn't often play games like this, but I found all of the interactions you could have with different characters to be endearing. I'm hoping that updates continue to happen with this game, I would love to keep exploring it!
Obsessed with the design of the alien, first of all. So cute, so beautiful, I love all the art I've seen done of him. Getting voice acting is always so impressive in such a short time! I did notice for my game that the audio for each character was pretty imbalanced, with the MC being fairly quiet whilst the alien was at a louder volume. Aside from that, I loved seeing both endings and I loved the silliness of naming the alien after a personal favorite of the players >:)
Loved it. Was weird and goofy and meta in all the best ways. Not only that but it does show the hold that office life and society has us in, and now I feel very crabby. Aside from the story itself, the sound from this game is one of my favorites that I got to experience. It contributed so much to the experience and I found myself uncomfortable yet listening for more. Thank you for the crab game >:)
I had never truly been one for a novel in this sense for a time period like this, but this story was so beautifully written and told that I got completely absorbed into the world. I was reading word for word with my face an inch from my computer while invested lol! The music compliments perfectly, and pushes me deeper into the world rather than distracting me from it. Amazing writing, thank you for the experience.
I'm obsessed with the way you designed the backgrounds and GUI! So many aspects really brought me into the world created, including the music chosen. The plot twist at the end was something I could have never predicted, yet still works so well! Such an impressive game and project , and all within 10 days!
One of my favorite games played recently for sure. The story was so raw and real and I felt for the MC at every moment. Not only that but the art and sound design just tied everything together for an amazing story to experience. I adore the art and the animations that come with each of the characters!
So many great aspects all around, from the aesthetic and art, to voice acting (which was so awesome to see within a 10 day period) to the story itself. It had very poetic notes and the atmosphere created while playing this really put me in the headspace needed to process and feel what the MC would feel. Great work!
