I loved how uneasy this made me! Very creative use of the theme and the choices were really nicely planned! Had a really fun time trying to escape over an over lol. The design of the FRIENDs was that perfect level of creepy. I need to go back and find the last ending asap. Really fun game!

Wow you set that mood well. GET ME OUT OF HERE

This game hit so many of my "nope" buttons I expected to stop playing it before even hit an ending, but I'm nothing if not persistent.  I can't imagine actually being in this situation and staying sane, goodness gracious.

That said, Aggghh. Well Done. I'm leaving now.

The prevailing thought as I entered the house was “oh, I’m in hell”, and the feeling only multiplied with every line. Great job! I don’t think I’ll be eating cake ever again.

I always love how every single game you've made for these jams feels like a fever dream/nightmare! I really liked the narrative of this one, and how unsettling it all was! It fit the theme so well, and I liked how the choices were layered and led in different directions too!

I am in love with this game and its style. From the design and art to the silly dialogue and choices, all with the underlying creepiness...great game. I loveee how the order of choices truly effect the path you take. I want to know more about the cake, what WAS the cake. I must know. Make a cake game. LOL overall this was amazing, very much in tune with media I love. Happy birthday!

I always love it when there's that extra commitment to the bit on choices and the variables they affect. The ability to really just pick the same option over and over to advance the story or how options open up after selecting others really helped this game feel like a whole experience despite the time limit to develop it! Additionally, Molly's little sprite animations really added to the "I'm so unsettled and on the verge of a panic attack" mood they had, excellent all around. >O<

vibes are immaculate in the worst way <3

this is a super cohesive story that left me perplexed and horrified, with many questions!

i thoroughly enjoyed the choices/reactivity and the thoughtfulness therein.

(also the strangers are kind of cute if we ignore uhm... everything?? id totally end up being the molly that just happily eats the cake and has new friends. Oops)

Coming home to a bunch of surprise strangers in my house is basically my worst nightmare so I really feel for Molly here lol. The story was really unnerving, in a good way.

It’s My Party refuses to let its opportunities for branching narrative obstruct the tone and theme of the piece, and that confidence elevates it. Each of the endings is an important and essential component of the whole, and the consistency and casualness of the reactivity within a given path is so striking. The extent to which it understood and responded to my stubborn QA-like tendency to pick the same choice every time it’s presented exhibits the thoughtfulness of It’s My Party’s production. It is so impressively cohesive, which branching narrative otherwise historically struggles with.

i can't get over this... this game is one of my highlights of the jam. there's a lot of care and style on display that i can't stop smiling!! i kind of wish this was longer.. but there wasn't anything i really disliked or had to critique - it was a fun time to play through getting the endings and so bizarre overall to figure out what's happening in this party alongside molly, many moments i streamed that made me or friends laugh just out of awkwardness and charm. i was really impressed with how the order of events was considered in the choicemaking that it affected the dialogue - the trumpet track is a personal favorite.

lots of little thoughts that came up playing this game that culminated into a great experience- fantastic work!
