Damn another pizza-like.

Really fantastic art!! I am inspired! The gameplay was fun and actually a different take on a similar concept that we did. I feel like it's hard to give the player a sense of control, but it's still a great game and a fun fantasy to make the pizzas. I really enjoyed it! Also great music.  I don't think I was able to really get the customers the slice they want. :( Really excellent game though!

I do have to say though, despite the beautiful art, pointing your hand upside down like the customers do looks quite uncomfortable haha.

Great game!

Another pizza-like I see.

Really cool platformer with more depth than I was expecting. I enjoyed the art style, I feel like that's where your game is strongest! The platformer mechanics were pretty solid too, though I think there's room for some tuning and making things feel more responsive? I think there's a bunch of info on how Celeste feels so good, which I feel like has become the gold standard. I also saw a red box at some point moving around, was that an enemy with no sprite? More attention to sound design would've made this game 50% better I think. It's really so important! Just like clicks when spinning, jumping sound, knife sound, some music, etc. Overall though great game!

I see we've got another pizza-like.

Great game! I love the title art! Whoever did that deserves some praise! The game itself is pretty solid too! I think it's well-rounded (heh) with good attention to detail with the sound, animation, gameplay, etc.  I think fixing the slightly delayed pizza movement when you rotate the platform would be nice (not sure why this is happening). I also dropped a pizza below the stage once and kinda wish it would just auto-reset the level. Cool progression though and I loved the countdown timer to add to the pressure. Some of the levels are really hard in a good way! Overall though great game!

Damn I knew this was gonna be something special after the first "hey you!" Fantastic art style, great sound design. The first slingshot obstacle was harder than it should've been for me lol. Radahn fight was fun. Really broke my trust of the world, any little guy looking at me like O_O kinda freaked me out. Big veg probably had too much health. Overall though, graet game!

If Bungie had you on their team, I think the company would be saved. Vibes are off the chart, voice acting belongs in Hollywood, for some reason I had a thick fog that made it hard to see (I think a bug), and gameplay was fun.  Great game!

I have never seen a control scheme like this. Super interesting. I suck at it, but I think it' s such a unique/interesting idea. How was it for you by the end of development? Were you able to control it? I feel like if it was simplified a bit but still taking the tetris block approach, it could be more accessible? Also interesting how the shape you pick can affect what you can do. Really interesting. Great job!

Wow what a cool spin this was. I don't understand how people manage to do this within the time limit. Really cool and super well executed. Physics were a little jank, but I feel like that's to be expected given the time limit. Great art. Curious if you did the world 3D modeling, or if that was an asset pack? Regardless, it was super well put together. Great job!

THANKS OBAMA! Really interesting and funny take on the theme! I would say I wish there was a little more gameplay, but honestly, it had everything else and was so unique that it doesn't matter. I think I have a grandpa who died of similar reasons. Great game! Sick you got the licensed music too

Cool game! I didn't realize this was like a node-buster-like at first, but I think all the upgrades made it a lot more fun! Very distinctive art style and overall vibe, I think it fits the alien stuff going on. I was a little confused at first about what I was supposed to be doing with all the things in the world that weren't citizens, but once I figured it out, I think it was a lot easier to get rolling. Also loved the music, I assume that's original? Great job!

Great name. I had some trouble with the visuals. I think the shader you're using is maybe too intense if you're not full screen? I don't think you have to remove the effect, but maybe try to make it more clear on lower resolutions? Also once I got beyond the initial key levels, I wasn't 100% sure what to do. I would hit the little pink circle, and then the camera would fly up I think and all I could see is "press right click to cancel". Maybe a bug to fix? Cool idea though, I like the idea of using a fishing reel to shoot!

Loved the corpo vibe and variety of minigames. I wanna wait on voting though, because I think I'm having some issue with cursor speed? I cranked mine all the way up, but the cursor moved way too slowly in full screen. I was having issues playing most of the game. Maybe a bug fix? I'm using a 2k monitor on macOS, not sure if that helps. Would love to play more if this is fixed!!

I kept losing to the stupid red rectangle upside down pyramid, but I think the concept is great! You got the movement of Beyblades down perfectly! Good sound design and visuals too. Made me wanna go spin shit frfr.

Yo that guy with the dumb smile had too much HP. I wish I could've messed him up, but I couldn't. Cool game though!

Thank you! We're collecting some information from our participants. If you have time, please answer the question below:

  • Did it make you hungry?

Damn cool concept, I felt like I had a big brain. A little audio would go a LONG way. I do feel like without the shop, it's missing a little something, but excited to see it again when it's updated!

Damn taco bell sound hit hard. Great vibe! I was on trackpad so I gotta go put a band-aid on the tip of my finger now. Overall cool concept and pretty fun to play!

The vibe is off the CHARTS! I could feel the tension. Idk how I'll ever go back to living a normal life after playing this. Simple and great idea, great sound design, great cakes. Very nice submission!

I'm gonna wait and hope for web build.

Good spinning. I might've missed the instructions, but didn't know at first I could press V to shoot. That made the game harder FOR SURE. Great job on submitting! More audio effects would go HARD.

Gonna wait and hope for a web build since I'm on macOS rn. 🙏

Now I'm no stranger to dark mode, but that starting sequence was DARK. Also I feel like it was a big jump from normal jump to having to dash, jump, and hover in order to make it, especially in such a dark space. I got porked by the gameplay too, pretty hard. Overall though great game!

Physics were a bit jank, but that's just like real life. High stakes, high octane, high spins. I appreciated the benjamins. Overall cool game.

Idk how to gamble but when I'm going ALL IN and hit the game over, I wish I didn't have to go through the opening text again. It was kinda long. Pretty good substance here though and a decent amount of polish. I also feel like it would've been better if Mr. Spooky didn't tell him he was going to show up, but he just randomly did THEN explained that he's a naughty boy. Also I'm not sure how kick the table works, but I was trying to go ALL IN one red and then kick the table if it didn't quite get there. But I kept getting the game over screen. Cool game though and good sound design!

I know I'm cutting it close, but Jusant and Outer Wilds have great soundtracks.

Cool idea for a game! It's like a cozy horror game lol. Everything fits in well. Not usually my type of thing, but I appreciate the work done here. Great job!

Wow insane what y'all were able to pull off here. Very well polished for a game jam game, and it's even more impressive knowing that you barely used any assets! Extremely good job. Game was pretty fun too! Simple RTS but with great sound effects, music, visuals, and a surprising amount of depth for a game jam. It feels pretty balanced too! Really good stuff.

Thank you for giving the chicken a dumpy.

Incredible style, loved the low-FPS hands.  Really effective in a game jam too, since that makes the art easier and is stylized in a cool way. Movement feels really good. Whichever player controller y'all found and tweaked, it ended up with something that feels great. Probs the best gameplay. Great job!

thank you for the comprehensive market competition research. would you mind sharing with us the names of these other games? we will send our these over to our team of strategists so that we can adapt for this upcoming quarter

Wow I love the style. Reminds me of Cruelty Squad. Pretty dark theme lol. Controls were also very unique, and mouse scroll, though hard, was perfect for a wheelchair.  Really cool submission and very creative! Gameplay was pretty hard for me, and it took me a while to figure out the jump to the elevator. Big fan of this though, great job!

Wow really cool game! Loved the atmosphere and idea. Really fun! I had a little trouble playing the game though. I didn't realize I had to use the scroll wheel to equip the paint brush/lighter at the beginning, so I was walking around trying to interact with everything. Eventually I figured this out. I think it also maybe bugged out when I used the mirror on a box? At first I didn't know what the pulsing was about. I thought it was a "warmer/colder" game where I had to walk around until it pulsed more rapidly. But when I figured out the minigame, the text came up and I wasn't able to get the text to go away. I tried it again though and this didn't seem to happen. I think this game is great though and the bugs are probably my only complaint! Lots of attention and work was put into this, and it shows. Great submission!

Wow really amazing work! Tons of personality flowing out of this one. I really enjoyed the premise, which was a great hook to get me going. The gameplay is simple, but the great voice acting and fear of making too much noise made it really fun to sneak around trying to collect things. I think my game bugged out a few times, and at some point the character said I need to get a key, but I didn't see the UI update my objective. This was after getting phone + wallet. Anyways, I clicked a bunch of keys in the bedside table, but wasn't able to figure out what to do next. Would love to know if this was bugged or if I just wasn't doing the right thing.

Seriously though, the presentation was very ambitious and you never really see this level of detailed story telling within game jams. It was very immersive and very impressive. Great job guys! I guess my only complaint would be the bugs and the dehydration effect I feel should have more of an indicator when you were about to pass out. Obviously a warp, but maybe also slight vignetting of the screen or something? The warp was easy to ignore I think. Great job!

You certainly got that high feeling going. Thank you SO MUCH for not having me restart the whole thing when falling lol. Original assets are very good quality. Also loved the trippy shaders. I think as a platformer, it felt a little too slippery for my taste. Once I landed, it was easy to overreact and accidentally fall off again. Good submission though! Good job y'all!

Interesting game! I got  the mixtape and was hoping I could blast some tunes right away, but I think just the sounds of footsteps definitely was more strange. Cool narrative and overall idea. Gameplay was a little simple, but it was fun to walk around and solve the maze. The death sound made me squirm a bit. Sounded like a watermelon being squeezed or something lol. Good job!

Love the sound design for this. It fits the theme so well. Gameplay is smooth and fun too! Great submission.

Cool puzzle game! Love isometric puzzles, and this is no exception. There were some bugs, but that's somewhat expected during a game jam. Puzzles were pretty well thought out. I think the world could have used a little more art. Even a solid background matching the color of the level I think would've helped it have a more polished look (instead of the default skybox). But I think there's a really cool concept here. Good submission!

Yeah I think it's good! I would maybe use assets from the game (like not a stickman), but that might just be a personal preference than anything. But it's much better than nothing and should help you get more clicks!

My bad, I misspoke. I meant if I had seen other players. But chances seem pretty slim, especially with the huge map like you're saying. But tbh that would've made bumping into another player even more strange.

Thanks for the details! It was really well done. I love simple ideas executed well. Great job!

Hmm yeah didn't see the last instructions. I'll give it another try later in the day, but genuinely did not know anything had happened. I thought I had  to turn on the station. Part of it is I can't see. I guess if you want constructive criticism it would be this:

Even though it's frustrating, I do think it's a principle of design to not try and blame the end user but also know that end users are dumb lol. I know I'm not the only person who's mentioned being confused. I've had the same frustrations watching people play my game, where I'm like "come on, it's so obvious", but I also know I've spent 100x more time with the game than they will, and so it's hard for me to understand what's obvious. I think if there was a like a water sound in this case, that would've been perfect to let me know something happened. I genuinely thought the pot was just sitting there and I had to activate the station, but had no idea how to do that. Hopefully you take this as constructive criticism, because I do really see potential in the game, it just needs some better feedback to be less confusing, especially because it is creative and not using obvious mechanics like a platformer would be.

Like another person said, this game was SPOOPY. I like the horror game elements set in a game that's not really horror. I found it a little hard to track things down, or maybe I'm just not patient enough. It felt like there were times when nothing would happen and then suddenly I'd see a few things all at once. The apple in the trash can was hard because I saw it, but then had to stand over the trash can until it happened again. Fun game though and great visuals! Smoke effect reminded me of Wind Waker. Good job!
