No issues with putting them in a video! Redistribution would be if you posted the audio assets themselves for people to download, like placing the project files on GitHub or reselling them

There's a couple of options for you:
- hUGETracker can convert .mod to .uge, but it needs manual tweaking sometimes so it's not a perfect system
- Beatscribe has a tool for midi to uge, though you might need to download another program like OpenMPT to export a mod file as a midi file (https://beatscribe.itch.io/midi2uge-hugetracker-midi-convertor)
- For my tracks, I've already done the conversion to uge (https://tiptoptomcat.itch.io/8-bit-gameboy-songs-dx-gb-studio)
- You can try searching the GBStudio Discord/Reddit pages for more tips
That was a very well polished game for a game jam, especially the sprite work and menus! It was a difficult game for me at first, but I felt like I naturally got better and had more fun as I played more, and I think that's a good sign for a one-screen arcade-style game that tests your reflexes like this. Thank you for the experience!

(I'm unable to embed the audio player here, so I'd recommend visiting the link to hear these tunes!)
After a lot of snags and difficulties over this last year, the dedicated project to convert all of the TipTopTomCat Gameboy chiptunes to .UGE formatting is complete! With over 35 tracks/stings (including a new Vol 3!), this collection of Gameboy chiptunes includes files for GB Studio (.uge/.mod/.sav), GBDK (.c), and tracks in .mp3/.wav formats.
All Vol 1 and Vol 2tracks have been remastered to their "DX" versions, which includes various speeds and "drumless" versions for your convinience. All songs have been given some volume balancing and tweaking to minimize SFX interference with CH2/CH4 during playback in GBStudio. As promised in previous devlogs, I've kept the previous versions of Vol 1 / Vol 2 if needed.
Thank you to everyone who has shown support over the years and for all of the collaborative work I've been able to do with the community so far! While there are no plans in the near future to release additional tracks on itch.io, you can contact me at thetiptoptomcat@gmail.com with any inquiries!
Hope things are going well for you too, thanks for your interest! I've been chipping away at these a little more steadily over the last couple of months and have tried to catch issues that I missed when I first started getting the UGE's together. Because of my limited free time for this along with the commission work I do, I don't have a solid time frame that I can give, but it is progressing! I still have the goal of getting this passion project out sooner rather than later, and while it looks like it won't be before the end of Feb I'll be sure to keep y'all posted
I'm not a particularly good rhythm gamer, so I didn't make it to the end, but I had fun with the songs I was able to do! It became easier when I realized that the beat for me registered just above the skull's head rather than directly on top of it (at least when I played). Cute graphics, good sounds, nice work overall!
I joined on a team for the game "The Doors" with gorzylla (https://itch.io/jam/gbjam-12/rate/2991644), but am not shown as an admin/contributor and am unable to rate games. Is there something else needed in order to be included in the submission? Saw the email that the "edit game" function lets a user be added as a game admin under the "more" button, but don't know if that's still something that can be done after the submission period
Oh cool! I've been in the process of converting all the .mod's I have to .uge for some time, but it's been very slow going on my end, not as much time in my life as I thought I would have it seems.
I'm still working on getting all of this Volume 1 and Volume 2 converted to .uge, so those will (hopefully) eventually be available for purchase. In any case, I hope you find success in making those conversions for your projects!
Sure! Just be sure to follow the license rules on the README (also found here: License Rules Clarification)
Thanks for letting me know! My main concern at first with the license was bad actors claiming the work as their own. Looking back, I'd agree that a README with a set of rules would also definitely help honest folks trying to do the right thing.
In retrospect, such a text document should have been there all along, but sometimes you only figure these things out after the fact.
Glad you enjoyed the tunes, thanks for your kind words, and hope your year goes well too!
