That's it, I test drove it using mouse (for mobile) and spacebar and never in a million years did I think about holding spacebar.

Smoother animations take a big toll on my smooth brain XD, I drew this in the 3h, then got an old song from a jam session and then programmed the logic, basically when you hear the sound of the trampolin and the jumper turns red you have .5sec to press spacebar, if you don't he collapses on the floor. the dudes show up after 5, 10 15 successfull jumps (just wanted the idea of progression)

Gonna clean up and make it better later

My bad, yep that was not supposed to happen, I cleaned up a bug where it would restart the score after 15 but then this bug popped up. Oh well, will test drive it better next time.

Thank you for playing

This is such a beautiful pixel art, loved the disapearing platforms

This game is proper finished, don't even have tips for you.

Beautiful game, such a sad song

How do you konw which platform works, I thought it would be the 75%white with no leaves but sometimes the leaves platform is not there and the 75% is not in frame so I just jump randomly

Fun concept, but the mechanics are so hard.

I figured the double jump but the expected trajectory sometimes is incorrect, also it's hard to see moving platform when you are trying to jump.

Man this guy has cake

Is there a powerup to samurai jack me into the past as an old unc and save that laydy?

Did you even have a wining screen? That lady dies too soon ;(

Very nice, sometimes the rng kills you, I got trapped in a tunnel and was only waitin to die

Overall great game and execution

Damn Nuno this music is beautiful as hell, made me feel sad.

Gameplay is great, tho after you climb to the 1st rest stop you can't really lose. You could add a raising lava fountain from bellow.

Overall great theme and execution, you can add another mechanic with double jumps or trampolins if you plan to extend the game

Well well well, that 8 second death screen really rubs in the salt in the wound d:

I like the propulsion mechanic, some of the small passways were very hard

Maybe playing with mouse was harder than touchscreen

This game is a bit complex, the rng is tricky. Correct me if I'm wrong:

I have 10 pieces to make a single colored line (orange or blue is fine), once I get the line I get 5 more pieces.

The inability to soft drop killed most of my plays, basically I almost had my line but couldn't get the right piece.

3h is too short I agree, but if you want to expand this add a soft drop and hold piece

Very good job

How are you generating the skeleton waves? I got to floor5 and had 5 skeletons per wall and couldn't solve the path. Procedurally generation for these types of games is so complex.

Also make the music loop, after floor 5 it stops and I only have the sound effects

Nice and easy game, where is the hitbox for Phil? I can jump atop these freaks but sometimes if they come diagonally from left bottom I die? It totally killed my plan to fly towards the end like Frodo on the back of the eagles.

Music was very simple but there was something to it, picking up pace, throw in some more instruments and chords to give it a fuller feel

Very interesting, the teleport has potential, good job

Is it necessary to use ad keys? it feels like the game works without it

I don't understand the teleport completely, sometimes it sends me up and sometimes it sends me down into a wall, I got close to the platform but it just sent me down, is that a bug or part of the gameplay?

Very nice, some notes:

  • Use Spacebar for restarting and starting ( I kept exiting fullscreen)
  • I held Spacebar after jumping over 3 fishes and the platform collapsed into the depths of hell and the game kept running
  • why is the game screen so long (like an otter?), some of these fish are very fast and I didn't have enough notice, maybe give me a hard drop key (like tetris so I can evade them)

Keep it going my brother

Procedurally generated huh

I kept hitting unsurmountable walls of dead astronauts, if you want to extend this I'd add a pistol or maybe make the astronauts move towards you at different speeds and decrease the hitbox.

Overall had fun, keep it going

High score 15 (fine person :)

Great simple mechanic, it is surprisingly engaging, that lump of green mr frog trully is haunting.

My suggestion for game progression is speeding up as you hold A, I think you've added terminal velocity but it may be more challenging without, also make mr frog come from the right.

Lovely, I count 6 different asteroids

  • 3 static ( round, stomach and boomerang shaped)
  • hellixes
  • big boomerang
  • worms

My high score was 75 seconds

The move band is a great limitation, a quick improvement that would be great is colors, use a cyberpunk pallete (neon green, neon purple, cyan, black for background)

A not so quick improvement if you want to extend the game is upgrades and a pistol so I can shoot the asteroids (different asteroid hp, multiplying worms, so on so forth, you know how bullet hell games go.

Great job

Very enjoyable, I like that the loosing sound makes you feel like you are in the belly of a whale

There's something I haven't figure about momentum, is there an expedite way to run this?

I stuggled to go up the double wall so I spammed left mouse click and it just catapulted me to the heavens. I was trying to get some momentum going but it just breaks after the fall everytime.

Btw you have a very unique style, loved your other game with teh orange, keep it going

Game is fun but you need to explain commands a bit more, eg, long pressing the jump is possible.

Also I was rug pulled by the 2nd platform, I expected the platform to take me with it as it moved but it surprisingly didn't.

Nothing wrong with that but it does go against industry standard so a tutorial may be warranted.

Visuals are very simple and to some extent you didn't really need a 3d game, 2d would suffice

Good job, hope this advice takes you to the next level

This game is so hard or maybe I'm a noob, few tips:
Dont reset the music on death, just leave it playing, it has a feel of escalation so it shouldn't be a problem.

Didn't reach the end but I got to the zig zagging stairs, a checkpoint would be good (no worries, I know time was tight) consider that for extending the game

Make the restart a key press. eg: spacebar, otherwise I have to hold mouse and keys

Overall great feel and theme, almost had horror vibes

How could I have been so blind, you are right, I'll patch that up.

You are supposed to jump to when the dude turns red

Jump to the beat of the trampolin.

Spacebar, left mouse click or screen touch on mobile.

Assets made with krita, lmms, Godot. No ai involved.

Hope you have fun

Thank you, I had so many ideas, but ran out of time

Will make it even better next time

Thank you for playing it =P

I wanted to add more mechanics, like an upgrade to spotligth and multiple dancers and music but ran out of time.

You are right, difficulty is so hard to balance, even I struggled to keep the dancer in, coming back to with with a fresh mind I have loads of improvements, but maybe I'll put it on the next project

Thank you, I have a lot of fun making these drawings.

I wanted to make something with cafe but as soon as I read the limitation, this game just materialized in m mind and there was no way around it. :P

Great game, I can see there is a deep lore in your head

Man I knew this inspector had to go as soon as his fu manchu mustache came into my keep.

My boy ODonel can't be that bad. Got ending 4 in my first play =P

I totally killed the inheritance dude before I even knew I needed to, because of his atitude so it worked out great.

Improvements for next time:

  • Make sure the text can be read independently. I clicked the second dialogue and it told me "don't ask more stupid questions" which assumes I already asked something
  • Randomize character appearance
  • Betrayal is not a crime XP,  (aid and abetting is when you participate indirectly in a crime, obstruction is when you don't cooperate with police, racketeering is when you create a crime network to extort protection money for example), loads of places to get the lingo just right, lemme know if you need recomendations

You sure made it a hell cafe:P

why are there 2 types of blood that I can hardly distinguish much less in a dark room

also I made a perfect brew and this dude said wrong

another time I was gonna put in the table and just dropped it

very demonic game (keep em coming)

Beautifull as hell.

Flawless gameloop and music (where did you get it tho, kinda pops)

Only advice is to standardize the keys (Return to dash and upgrade)

otherwise dumbass player like myself will play without realizing there is a dash mechanic that leaches life from enemies

great concept and execution

Uncle Sam! After all I did 4u?

Very funny game, I was however bit confused by the options, I didn't read much and ended up spamming hte buttons so the game ended in seconds.

Figuring out the order of upgrades and keeping them entertained while watching the art is the hardest part about making these games. Good job

Simple but effective.

This dude Soleil comes into my shop and I get him 2 sugars and 1 expresso and it should hit the spot but alas it doesn't, then I notice the expresso offsets the sugar perfectly.. so next time he comes around I hit him with a perfect sugar packet (what kind of human comes to a cofee shop for a sugar packet, soleil I guess)

anyway great time, and excelent execution (even if there are 2 solutions, the simplest is often the right brew)

Nopes the trade book button is not implemented or out of frame. Maybe it was the same as golden age because that was the one open.

Damn you must be psychic :P I was stuck in ring 1 for 10min before quiting

I am playing in brave browser. In firefox there is no bar (how gnarly)

That boy Jason better take my 203bucks to help him pay for real metal :P

I will find the solution to this eventually

Absolutely right, my sound design skills are still growing, been learning lmms with a midi yamaha keyboard, on the other hand I coulda have used my mic to record animal sounds. Will be better next time.

Themewise I had a caravan in mind that would travel to the animals and a time resorce being depleted to increase difficulty but time didn't allow. (if you notice my game assets fell in quality dramatically cause they were drawn in the lasts 5min XD)

This is very beautiful, as it stands it's just a video with no interaction but there is great story telling and artistic choices. What is this genre called waiting sim? Loads of this games with this exact concept

Interesting idea, I see it needs more time but there is something.

Notes:

  • full screen not full screening, if just keeps the same resolution with black borders
  • what is up with the orange dudes hanging? when I approach they seep into the ceiling
  • are the tiles of wall art supposed to give me lore?

sucata huh? BR detetado XD

I like the game loop, the art and music fit perfectly.

Only thing I'd add is a jump mechanic, that witch sometimes makes impossible paths and I need the vertical space to catch them

Liked the art, very humble but gets the point across  :P

  • Check the collision on the characters, sometimes the bullets just went across the little dudes
  • After 3 guards the game gets broken and there is no difficulty, I just end up watching it work
  • It wasn't clear that I need 50bucks to buy guards, you can add a blinking red text to warn the player

Overall great idea, my advice is to add a tower defense mechanic, that would rebalance the game.

Keep it going brotherman

Enough greed indeed, lets get political

I'd add a label to know how much money I have else it's perfect, this game has a certain insanity level that I like

Very beautiful, reminds me of dredge, lots of fun stuff to do

I'd change the golden arrow, even tho it's pointing to the right place it shows in the opposite side of the screen which is confusing. I'm in awe that you can make this in 3h, great work

(1 edit)

I liked the art and music and sound effects, very endearing and a lot of storytelling without much words, however...

You got a lot of mechanics, my advice is to focus on only a few . I didn't have fun when moving between zones I guess you are making me use my memory which I like but clicking map and selecting destination then go then move to the booth was testing my patiente and I'm older now so I was tired. I think you could make a fun real time locomotion to make it funnier tho.

Keep refining this idea, onwards
