Thank you so much! (Composer)

Wow, so atmospheric! The art, writing style, and audio all blend together so well into one seamless experience. The sound effects were particularly lovely. Moving my organs was concerning, in a good way. The only tiny nitpick I'd have is a more stylized text shadow rather than semi-transparent black box to match everything else, as it stands out just slightly (but really? it's fine). The eye framing is so artistic, kudos on the creativity. I like the "look at your hand" mechanic, the idea of checking it in scenes and finding yourself to be dreaming? Quite exciting. Great work, keep creating. :)

Thank you so much for the coding insight! I will endeavor to respond to you again when Akari's route is out. :) It means a lot to have some feedback, I really, truly appreciate you. Have a fantastic day!

No worries, it was handy being able to read everything in the end screen! :)

Thank you for the responses! I played for a while longer, got up to 4 failures, and a few days after that got a congrats message from the board and clicked the prompt that was something like "live a real life" or whatever it said. It seems some content failed to trigger for me? I was hoping for a bit more fear/threat from the organization at the end, but I understand that the end stage is still very much in development.

The end screen (User.... your support is greatly appreciated....system metrics and such) came up over the ending (Final Scene) which I continued reading after "disconnecting" which may or may not have been intended.

I also got who I presume to be the head of the women's prison transferred to me with no further story/interaction with her.

Events  102/110

Scenes 42/56

Interactions 45/57

Missed Scenes:

Jane Green - Acquiring Number 26

Augustine - Checking on Alissa, Final Choice ( upon reading this one at the end, cool choice to set up, felt a little weaker to me than other scenes, wish I could justify not just as experiencing what the patients did but out of wanting to be with Augustine rather than far away, could be more high stakes danger payoff with Big-O but it's fine enough)

Nina - Tea with Nina

Secretary - 3rd 4th and 5th nights, NT (Messages weren't available in-game: Time for your night shift / sorry for getting carried away)

Night - Evening Routine

Both endings missing everything but Acquiring Federal Care and Final Scene. (I read them through the ending screen afterwards. The holder scenes were more of the menacing feeling I wanted from the company, so good on that. All the end scenes seem to need a bit of work and seem to follow less clearly, but that's not unexpected with the game being in dev, still yearning for a little more emotional payoff between Augustine/MC (though the "just say you love me" line was much appreciated) )

Oh the sticky notes. LOVE the sticky notes. So menacing. Want to know more about them, where they came from, but they're also lovely without that specific answer in-game.

Got through all or most of the content, unless more failures would get me more. (The failure clock scares me, as it should.) I should have one more failure than it says, as with the bug I mentioned elsewhere.

I feel like it's easy to amass a lot of money without anything to meaningfully spend it on in the late game.

The monthly costs/wages are such a rare thing because of the day by day nature of the game that I wonder if more frequency would improve gameplay / make the mechanic more relevant.

Subjects came in pretty slow at times and it felt like I couldn't build as much as I would like to.

It's pretty unclear what nurses do, mechanically. Scientists, I assume, make research better. Mid-to-late game I pretty much just blindly hired everything that was handed to me, pretty much, given my big bucks.

As I've said before, the writing is spectacular. My soft heart yearns for a more direct, genuine confession between Augustine and the MC down the line and some sort of confrontation about Augustine's perception of the relationship (I imagine she would struggle to accept a true romantic interest), but I get if that isn't in the vision. They're so good together, and the MC does say "I love x about you" from time to time without that language being pointed out.

Oh, at some point I had a symbol for my lovely secretary in the top right, which seemed intended for me to do something with? But it just showed her information. After I started interacting with her and having scenes with her, and at some point I think it went away.

I also think sometimes I was unable to reassign scientists to be subjects despite their being female and (as far as I can tell) not main NPCs, this only happened with a couple. (But as I mentioned, with the sometimes limited pool of subject inflow, would've been helpful.)

Oh, and I wish there were more upgrades for the surgery/subject prep because that is the most slow and non-interactable area of the game as it stands.

Great work, thanks for this gem of a game. Looking forward to more content.

Some of these might be regional or intended, but I marked what was odd or wrong to me. :)

Suggestion: Symbols next to dialogue or color-coded dialogue to make it effortless to tell who is speaking when multiple characters are involved in a scene. Also, I believe it will make characters more memorable and easy to tell apart, as someone with a poorer memory who struggles to remember who is who beyond the lovely Augustine.

Ah, I failed to meet quota for a second time but it didn't updated the failed counter to 2, it still sits at 1.

Been playing a long session, left and come back a couple times. Early on I paused the first vibe research project to pivot to one that was inspired. Since then, when I've clicked on that project, it says paused and clicking on paused (where one would normally click to select a project) changes nothing. I have not been able to figure out a way to re-select / un-pause the project since.

Small thing, got the scene with Augustine's sister. I had already talked to her about her nightmares, where Augustine mentioned her fear that a "normal"-faced version of herself would sweep the company out from under her. Despite this, the MC is very shocked and confused with Augustine's behavior towards her sister (attacking her) and promised to explain later. It's not the worst, but it does feel a bit unnatural that that knowledge isn't taken into account, as it has a pretty clear insinuation to why Augustine might be so upset.

Hey there! If you're a streamer about to play my game, please ping me on the discord so that I can come watch!

Thank you so much! <3

Thank you so so much for commenting! It means a lot to me. I'm glad that the game is able to bring you some comfort and connection!

Love the inclusion of bird sounds in the soundtrack. The writing/banter felt natural and compelling.

Supporting high-quality queer-woman-centered games in an environment where so few exist is its own reward in my opinion—and something I am quite passionate about—but I totally get enjoying/preferring the process as a solo project. Thanks for your thoughtful response anyhow. :)

I was pretty on top of checking messages as soon as I received them—but maybe it was a different issue, I can't say for sure. Though it's interesting to hear that events are randomized–I did get the sense that Augustine was a bit warmer at times than the relationship development seemed to call for at that point and I now wonder if that's an effect of the randomization.

I stumbled on this unexpected gem today and I've been playing it for a few hours now. The writing is excellent, though I have encountered bugs where UI disappears and scenes skip (the latter making me quite sad!). Oh, and for some reason, I had my first lovely cutscene of getting collared by Augustine *before* she messaged me and we expressed interest in meeting one another for the first time. But overall I have been really enjoying the game, particularly the relationship between the MC and Augustine, and Augustine's psychology/characterization. I am very, very impressed by the writing. Not many things/games keep my attention.

I can't help but notice that the game is completely silent. No UI sounds, no SFX, no music. I'm quite taken with the project and I was wondering if you'd be open to collaboration. I'm a composer/sound designer/audio wizard with some minor gamedev/project management/writing experience. I'd love to help out at least on the audio side of things, and potentially foster a creative partnership. Let me know if you might be interested and I would be so happy to discuss.

Regardless, I look forward to seeing how this game develops.

Wow, what a beautiful, intense, emotional narrative experience. The characterization, the setting, the pacing, everything in this built towards a lovely, bleak, unsettling, intimate atmosphere. This is truly a little gem. Fantastic work. It was so darkly, deeply human. Thank you for creating this.

We've resumed development on the game. :)

The game is back into development!

Thank you! Please let me know how it goes. :D

Don't worry, the rope hates everyone. (Just click and hold below it, haha,  don't keep pulling it.)

And I definitely did a bit too much with the music, I won't be offended if you have to mute it for a bit. Thanks for playing and look forward to seeing if you have more thoughts. :)

Thank you, I had so much fun with that haha, I was struck by the muse. :D (the animal picker noises)

Yeah, I totally agree that the tracks would've fit better at a slower tempo and with more space in the composition. Thankfully the underwater theme and the end piano version of the main/mammals theme hit the mark in that regard, and it's definitely a learning experience for me as a composer. Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you! :)

That is so sweet of you. :D ♡

Thank you so much. <3

I personally composed everything, thank you so much for the compliments.  And yes, most people have been mentioning the vibe over the story (I wouldn't be surprised if not everybody played it fully through, happens in jams) but that might be partly because so many people are focused on their shock of the educational genre we played with. :D I believe the underwater theme was your favorite? It was heavily inspired by the docks track in Mario 64. :D

Fun story, I thought I got the inspiration from Mario but searched high and low and couldn't find the track. I posted the underwater theme to the group chat and our programmer helpfully posted the Mario theme I had gaslit myself into thinking never existed and we had a good laugh over it.

Thank you so much for the detailed response, it means more than words can say when someone gives such care to responding to your art. <3

Thank you so much!

Good atmosphere! The plague doctor guys are proper creepy. I'm not a big horror game player myself, so I only sampled it, but it looks pretty solid and from what I played, pretty challenging! I like the breathing sound effect in particular, sets the mood well.

I realized after my comment that if I click the blue full-screen icon it is fine, but the gray one above that, which you have to dodge to use the other one, doesn't work. :)

Haha, this is delightful. I love the whimsy and passion, really the sort of game that just puts a smile on your face. Simple and fun.

Wow, just wow. Beautiful messaging, this was a delight to play, even when it frustrated me. In the span of two weeks, you have managed to make something truly special. Fantastic job. I am sure so many people will relate to this, especially with the very in-current-times message at the end there... I want to give everybody who made this a hug.

There was some audio glitching at times, but when it was clear it was beautiful, Great atmosphere, simple design but it gets the job done. Bravo.

It can be a little finicky, if you feel like trying again, hold click on it and pull it down, and keep holding. Letting go of the mouse resets it and instinct is to keep pulling but I've found holding the mouse down works.

This is so fun! I wish I could press shift to run though, my impatient butt wants to rush to each event haha. Great atmosphere, lovely art, fun mechanics. The settings symbol clashes a little with the rest of the UI, but otherwise, this is some good stuff. I also couldn't full-screen it for some reason, but maybe that's just me. The health bar placement / look might be improved upon, and it would be nice to have different music tracks, but that's being really nitpicky. The movement sound combined with the invincibility bar going down is super satisfying. A custom cursor would really tie this together. All in all, you should be proud!
