You got a great little dungeon going on over here! Good job for 3 days. Would have loved to see a more interesting use of the torches- maybe your eyes adapt to the darkness and staying in a light area ruins your vision? Oh and the obvious one- music and sounds! 😁

(1 edit)

One of the first games this jam that truly put a smile on my face when i understood the mechanics and finished the first level. I love that you thought of the mouse as... A MOUSE! genius!

Everything just feels like it has a purpose here- clear art, nice fitting music, the design of the maps with how you first teach the player and then just have fun little puzzles following up with what we just learned.

I find it hard to add something that could improve this little gem but maybe some interesting ideas going forward (which i sincerely hope you do with this!):
- mechanics: you currently have a blank canvas with what you can do here now that the main "game" is ready. something in the form of like traps that you need to avoid whilst the cat chases you or it gets stuck, or TWO cats (wow! amazing tip!). Well you get the point- you probably already have cool ideas in mind.

- a custom "mouse". The only thing really sticking out to me when i look at this game art-wise is the cursor. Everything else follows the same cute and simplistic theme- the cursor is just our default boring computer mouse. maybe give it a tail. I dont know- maybe it can be animated to match the cat?

Anyways- congratulations on a game well made, very impressive!

Very good designed game with mobile support and how you teach the player about the controlls.
Music sounds great, but i wish some of the sfx had the same standard (picking up food felt a bit basic in contrast to the epic music and cute random-pitch cat meows).

Enemy design is gorgeous and i love the little details when they get damaged or die.

Attacking with random patterns felt a bit weird since i didnt know what my next hit would be and some of them are longrange? It also felt like it wasnt super responsive with the delay in place (maybe this is intentional to not let the player spam attack)

all in all- lovely little demo you have there! great job.

thank you for your kind words! The 9 different endings were -hell- to draw for us non-artists but im happy it paid off!

very interesting idea! Thank you for the feedback 😊

Nice little game with different "game sections" to switch it up. It looks good with the transition and art.

I would have liked to hear some sfx with the game with how well music was generally used as well. Also encountered some bugs with wall-jumping and the dialogue.

A small negative is that it feels a bit awkward to swap from using wasd + e and then mouse clicks for some buttons.

Otherwise well done on the jam!

Great job participating and learning something for this jam! That's really the best thing you can achieve from this. Hope the anxiety becomes less prevalent the more you jam and get used to the format :)

very cool game loop with a lovely artstyle! Would have loved some sound effects when clashing with demon hounds or visiting different locations. Well done!

Cute game with a solid game loop! would be interesting to see more enemy variety or item variety (Rock paper scissors is very solid as a foundation- uuuh rock paper scissors spock lizzard?). Scoring system would be cool as well since i dont really know what the combos do.

You have a lovely idea with great potential and implemented very well for the jam, good job.

Love the idea and the designs for the different cats (the people too). I found it a bit confusing when i had a customer show up but no cat that matched their personality at first and i would have liked some music as well- otherwise lovely little game, great job!

nice little game! managed to get the dev time as well😺

Very cool concept! I felt like sometimes you had to make bad trades to not fill up the trade slots on either side if you would be unlucky enough to not get the right pricing- Maybe some system in place to generate pairs somehow... Either way cool and unique little game- very much enjoyed it, great work!

what a clean and cool little game! can only agree with previous comments. Would have loved the music to be a bit louder since the game felt really quiet most of the time. I had a lot of fun with this experience. Congratulations.

poor cat! but lovely little game- great job!

Too bad! looking forward to the fixed version- and cheer up, great job participating and producing something :)

Good job on your first game jam! lovely littel cat game. Would love some other sfx though- maybe some meowing!

Managed to roll to my death on the first level so cat burglary maybe isn't my thing.

Lovely art and small little sneaking game. Character controls buttery smooth- bit too smooth since i fell to my death.  cute cat/10 great job!

Love the artstyle- reminds me of the good ol' flash days! Simple and well executed game loop.

Great job on your first game! Love the voice acting and game plays very smoothly. Would have loved to also see a more cat-focused theme for the art.

neat little cat guitar hero game! Would have liked the songs to be divided up into stages maybe to be able to replay them individually haha

Really cool Idea executed beautifully! Had some lagg issues when all the light pillars appear and sound seems to desync abit making it hard to hit the beat but loved it! Great menu design.

Gorgeous style and perfect meows

yeah sadly didnt have time to give some love to the weapons- does make it harder though! 😅

Interesting concept with beautiful use of lighting and ambient music. If anything, it made me excited for the finished game :)
