Here's mine. Enjoy

https://itch.io/jam/tgcxcoreblazer/rate/3603058

Hello everybody, I hope you're having a great day today.

Thank you for the warm reception of my work.

One criticism of the game, which I often saw in the comments, was the lack of a proper ending. That was intentional on my part.

You see, just because you gave everybody their flowers, doesn't mean that the events of the game *must* end at that point.

Actually, the game only started - and now that you gave the *virtual* people their flowers, it's about time you all get out of your comfort zone and start doing similar deeds for the *real* people, outside of your computer.

There are fewer and fewer people like David in the world, and as a result, there's fewer people who can appreciate such generosity and be generous themselves.

If nobody around us is willing to be generous in one way or another, perhaps we should be the ones who are.

With that said, thanks to the people who played my game, and I wish you a good night.

WHERE ARE THE BAMBOO SHOOTS???
- Gordon Ram-Say, 2025

Seriously, though. The game keeps mentioning them, but I can't find anything which resembles them. There's also a literal pot of nothing.

I like the art style of the game, it reminds me of 60 Seconds. The GUI doesn't match up, though - it's too blocky and the font could be more cartoony, to compliment the art.

I'd also like to add, that maybe there should be more dialogue options, with which the player can influence the clients' decisions. For example, what if I were to tell the fox lady to look for her husband by herself, even if it seems reckless?

Otherwise, I like the story and the dialogue.

For example, can a game earn both Best Overall and Community's Voice?

Does the creator get both cash prizes?

Here's mine. I hope you enjoy.

Your game's great, by the way! The ability to take powerups created by other players and give such yourself is very creative!

While the grapple physics are finicky at first, once you get familiar with them, they are pretty fun.
I think the level's design could be changed to accomodate for the grapple.
I think using the right mouse button to retract the grapple instead of allowing the player to press the left button to send it and release the button to retract it is a strange solution.
It's kind of hard to built momentum by bunnyhopping too.

In terms of graphics, perhaps the game's terrain would benefit from having more contrast and overall being more gritty, like in its thumbnail.
Also, I think you could include some sort of minimap, so the player can see where the hidden items and other goals are. You could also take a sort of "compass" approach, like in Fortnite.

Maybe the game's music should be more dynamic and punchy to compliment the gameplay.

Other than that, it's a pretty good game.

As others have said, I think the flying is simple and satisfying.
However, the aspect I think is the most interesting, other than the terrain generation, is the AI. It's simple, yet effective. It makes the world feel alive. They're quite competitive when it comes to food, though.
I also like the sound work, graphics and animations in this game.
The only thing I don't like about the game is how fast the player dies of starvation - I think it's a tad too fast.
Otherwise, I don't think there's anything to complain about.

Here's mine. Enjoy.

I must say, the character animations here are impressive and expressive. The other art on display is also very good, even if the colors could clash less.
However, the puzzles, which seem to be the key part of the game, are kind of boring.
Perhaps for each plant, a different type of puzzle? And for every plant already made, the puzzles could get more complicated. For example, on stage 1, the bubble puzzle would require a combination of 3 key presses, and 4 on the next stage, and 5 on the stage after that, and so on.
The bubble puzzle could use a timer. Even if it was a more forgiving one, that could make the puzzle more engaging.
The jigsaw puzzle could also use a timer. Otherwise, it's fine as is.
Continuing on the bubble motif, maybe there could be a Simon Says type of ordeal?
Outside of the puzzles, it's crazy how Marina simply doesn't run out of sand or seashells.
Maybe if you made too many plants to hold, you could place them in your room for later?

I might write more if I think of something.

Here's a game about a guy who had too many poppies in his garden and decided to give them away to everyone in an act of generosity. The game features various interesting interactions and a unique atmosphere: https://itch.io/jam/tgcxcoreblazer/rate/3603058

Here are some words of criticism on this game:

You can't really feel the pressure of having to satisfy both factions. Requests aren't being sent fast enough to be overbearing. Quite the opposite - you have to wait a long time to actually do something. Also, it it me, or does the "Relation" meter hardly ever fall down?

You've got to wait a long time to get the necessary resources.

Another point of criticism is that once you place a worker in the field, you can't make them leave and you can't send them to the other faction, and you have to wait for a request for resources in order to get the money to summon another worker, *specifically* to be sent to the other faction.

It's funny how the "power" meter rises the same regardless of the amount of certain units you send. Speaking of, one could easily win the game by just waiting for the power meter to fall to 0 and after that, rapidly satisfying any requests.

By the way, it seems the game sometimes doesn't let me buy an unit, even though I have the sufficient funds for it. Speaking of funds, buying 2 workers is always more cost-efficient than buying a warrior.

I think the game would work better in a 2D, mostly UI-only format, like Antimatter Dimensions. After all, the environment seems to play little to no role in the overall gameplay experience, which, in my opinion, makes it unnecessary in the game itself.

Also, the camera controls are wacky, the units blend in with the environment, and there's no distinction as to whether an unit is a worker or a warrior.

In terms of generosity, maybe you could consider what the workers' working conditions are? How much do you pay them? Perhaps you could make them riot?

With every round, nothing except for the factions' colors changes. No difficulty spike, no additional mechanics, no innovation, no variety. It's always the same thing.

The game's concept has potential, but its execution falls flat.

Didn't implement a loading screen, sorry. Either wait, or try a different browser, assuming you're playing the browser version.

The rules say no violence or anti-humanity themes.

My submission will lightly touch on darker topics such as poverty or addiction.

Is that okay? What's the limit?

Programmer, musician, game designer and writer here (in order of proficiency).

Well-versed in Godot.

When it comes to music, I lean towards techno, piano music and jungle, but I'm say I'm versatile in a variety of genres.

Looking for artists - 2D or 3D. A good quality would be a willingness to experiment with different styles.

I can make art myself too, but the results are... ehhh.

I've got a lot of unreleased stuff lying around on my PC, so please message me on Discord for additional details.

A while ago, I made an RPG project template for personal use. Can I use it and other code I have lying around during the jam?

Can I go a step further and have my jam game be a project started before the jam?

Self-explanatory.

Preface

The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.

I have finished the game.

Gameplay/Fun

There is nothing to complain about. Fun all the way through.

Art Style/Visuals

There is nothing to complain about. The pixel art looks good!

Audio/Sound

While it's all taken from somewhere else, the music, sound design and voice acting are great! Even if it's an AI's voice.
"I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat you!"

Innovation

There is no game. Or is there?
It's There is No Game all over again.

Theme

You're freeing the animal from isolation, but there's also you and the narrator, so it only kind of fits.

Verdict: Either way, awesome game!

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Preface

The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.

This game is infinite. It can't be finished.

Gameplay/Fun

The gameplay is shallow. The ships' colliders are unfair. The balls could've used less inertia. Speaking of, why are the player characters balls? Why not other spaceships?

Art Style/Visuals

They're fine, but the powerups and text clash with everything else. The ship designs are cool, though.

Audio/Sound

It's just one song, and it's a genre that I don't like.

Innovation

It's an interesting spin on the "avoid everything" archetype of games.

Theme

There's little adherence to the theme with the two characters being isolated from each other.

Verdict: It's mid.

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Preface

I haven't finished the game. (I got 4 out of the 8 endings)

Gameplay/Fun

It's short and kind of shallow. The personality test in the beginning is pointless - why not add a way to skip it? The only way you get different endings is by clicking the different answers after that. You don't even have to read them. But I appreciate how you don't even have to go through all of this by just leaving.
Why not add different items to interact with?
The transitions take too long.

Art Style/Visuals

Pretty minimal, but they do their job.

Audio/Sound

The one song that plays through the game doesn't really fit. The therapist's voice is really annoying.

Innovation

I actually made a game like that for the jam before! It also had 8 endings!
With that said, interactive fiction isn't a novelty.

Theme

You isolate yourself from society by staying in the cage. It fits the theme.

Verdict: Good game, but it could use more content.

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

I have finished the game.

Gameplay/Fun

Chopping down trees is fun, I like the axe swing mechanic, but why can't I chop down my own house? There is little incentive to continue. Also, "there is nothing left"!? I only chopped down 6 trees!

Art Style/Visuals

They're great. The colors look good, the models look good, the art style is consistent. The only thing I can complain about is that the land doesn't expand further, and it just looks... eh.

Audio/Sound

There is nothing to complain about. The spatial sound design really makes you feel like you're in the woods.

Innovation

The concept is quite original. I never played a first-person lumberjack simulator before.

Theme

You're alone in the woods, isolated from society. The audio compliments that well.

Verdict: Great game.

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

It's missing the required files

Preface

I have
finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun

It's short and shallow. All you do is run around and avoid everything. Movement doesn't feel fun and the dash just teleports you.  Also, are you really going to spoil the solution to the game in the descriptions?

Art Style/Visuals

The art direction here is questionable. Why is The Beast pixel when everything else is hand-drawn? Speaking of hand-drawn, I appreciate the hand-drawn assets, even if they look somewhat weird. Also, the sprites' colors clash with the background.

Audio/Sound Design

Unfitting. Neither of the songs fit the game.

Innovation

No innovation to be seen.

Theme

The game only loosely fits the theme.

Verdict: Eh, I don't like it.

I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun

Short and buggy. From what I heard, you can just skip the whole game.

Art Style/Visuals

Personally, I'm a fan of abstract aesthetics, but I feel it could've been executed better. A change of palette would definitely benefit the art design.

Audio/Sound Design

It's just two songs, they're fine.

Innovation

The game is somewhat original. It reminds me of a certain board game about parking lots.

Theme

Can't really see how it sticks to the theme, but you're alone, so that fits, I guess.

Verdict: Good idea, but it could use polish. And more content.

Gameplay/Fun

It keeps you on your toes (GET IT?) and is pretty fun, but sometimes it can get annoying.

Art Style/Visuals

There is nothing to complain about. Hell, I'm a fan of abstract aesthetics and this game hit it out of the park.

Audio/Sound Design

There is nothing to complain about. The whole game relies on sound and the soundscape is well achieved.

Innovation

So far the most innovative out of all games in the jam.

Theme

You're certainly not alone, but I have to give bonus points for a creative interpretation of the theme.

Verdict: Awesome game!

I have finished the game.

Gameplay/Fun

There is nothing to complain about. The gameplay is hectic and fun and the different gun options allow different playstyles. I personally like the auto gun.

Art Style/Visuals

They're awesome. They remind me of a game from the early 2000s. The only thing I could complain about is the weird lighting.

Audio/Sound

There is nothing to complain about. The spatial sound design really makes you feel like you're in the battlefield.

Innovation

The concept is quite original. It's like the Halo warthog had a game of its own!

Theme

The main character is a tank commander cut off from his forces. It fits well.

Verdict: Awesome game!

Gameplay/Fun

The blood stone gives you tasks and you do them. Pretty fun, but there's little incentive to continue.

Art Style/Visuals

They're fine, but the UI clashes with the game.

Audio/Sound Design

"Oh, now there is no sound, for we all live underground" - Jamiroquai, "Virtual Insanity"

There's no sound at all.

Innovation

The concept and abilities are actually quite original.

Theme

You have to isolate yourself and the stone from people and watchtowers. It fits.

Verdict: Great game, but it could use polish.

The gameplay is fine, but it's slippery.
If it's a rage game , you shouldn't force the player to restart the game after they die - restart automatically.

Art Style/Visuals

There's nothing to complain about. The graphics are well-drawn and mesh well with each other.
