The writing is exquisite. And I actually like that you kept the presentation minimal, only adding text colouring when it really enhanced the story.

And what a story! I too loved the intentional indirectness and the lush mystery that created. It made the gradual realisation spectacularly hard hitting. I don't think I'd be overstating it to say that, compared to the rest of the entries, this is the most powerful use of 300 words.

!SPOILER!

Unlike norbez, however, I got the impression that the pc was in fact the father? Curious to know if I'm right.

Yeah, this is an effective polemic against a certain type of male attitude I too hate. css effects were put to good effect also.

Can definitely appreciate this. Have you tried Anxiety OKAY? It's another entry that tackles the theme similarly. You might like it.

Yuckie. 'Play a few twiny games while you eat,' I told myself... I should've just gone on netflix as usual.

Seriously though, this was good!

God, that music really is effective. Aesthetically, it's good, maybe could have some slightly dramatic effects on the whole execution bit, but the mood is clear and effective. I'll be pondering what I think HCF means for a while, I think.

(I replied to your question on my page, but I'll just copy and paste it here for convenience's sake:

And about the audio. I simply did as you tried: zipped up the audio with the html file and it all worked. I have encountered some audio lag problems with twine in other cases, so perhaps the audio was simply delayed it starting? Sorry I can't be of more help.)

Thanks for playing. It's just meant to be a scenery game half-derived from nights I've spent in the woods near me. No greater purpose or final ending, sorry.

I'll give your game a go after i've made dinner.

The concept and execution are both make it powerfullyevocative. This ones hits hard.

This is clever. And I've embrassingly never heard of irrealism as a genre, so thanks for that too

You manage to fit so much into the game using that retro text-adventure brevity. Wish I'd thought of that! Also really liking the css effects

i can definitely relate to the game. The 'you need to do this' sections are exactly the kind of tiring self-enforcement that I do daily. And half the time my nerves defeat. Very good simulation of that feeling, and done with admirable terseness
