And about the audio. I simply did as you tried: zipped up the audio with the html file and it all worked. I have encountered some audio lag problems with twine in other cases, so perhaps the audio was simply delayed it starting? Sorry I can't be of more help.
I'll give your game a go after i've made dinner.
This was interesting. I like how you have to change aspects of the forest, but I don't quite see what that does to the overall experience. Also, having all the words on one page gave me the feeling that I was missing something, that I had to do something "more" to the words. Is there a final "ending" to this game?
(On a different note, how did you get the audio to play in your Twine html? I tried to do that for my game, HCF, but uploading it in the ZIP file would cause it not to play my music. I worked around it by uploading a downloadable ZIP, but how'd you get your html to play music?)
