This was a really fun card battling game and I thought the rules were really easy/intuitive to pick up! All the characters had interesting styles (I only couldn't figure Keener out tho) and the final boss battle was a cool shake up! Also, I love all the card art, very charming and cool. I'm a Jertical fan.
This was a fantastically delightful time! I thought that the Skremplets' world was really well realized here with the high attention to detail and all the sweet little easter eggs! Classy presentation and the character sprites are all lovely, that Giant Foozloos is just absolutely majestic! Tuckle, what a guy! Loved all the cards for the Skremplets as well, really gave me that classic pokemon vibes, and then that Pastoriche sequence was just awesome, NGE/Twin Peaks/Yume Nikki vibes! The scene/animation of Grymmt Dundle panicking at the end is so CUTE! Really high effort and satisfying package! As a novice at GB studio myself, I'm deeply appreciative of the polish and restraint on display!
Really quality game, I had a blast moving around in it! The platforming felt really smart and precise, at one point I thought I was stuck but finding out how to use the sword to zoom across the spikes was sick. The combat was really intuitive too, I love the effect of the sword slash and how when the enemies splatter their bits just stick all over the walls afterwards, really impactful. Loved all the super cute art/character designs and crunchy soundscape, the music was super on point too. I dug the premise set in an underground world right after a mysterious earthquake, and there were so many cool npc interactions. That puffin is such a freak man, and the reveal at the end was rad. I'm only surprised the ending came so abrupt, I felt like there was way more to go, with like boss fights or Kat's backstory but I might've just missed it? There were a places that I didn't know how to reach. All in all, it was a really luxurious time!
Such a cool game! I loved the paint-like texture of your visuals, and their designs! The candid way that you introduced the premise and the jam conditions were really effective too, the way they acknowledged the Skremplets are back, and how the 'Aw shucks' line came up were both really smooth sequences. And easter egg with the yellow jacket was a shock! Even though I had a bit of difficultly early on understanding all the rules of the game, I basically brute force through the first playthrough, once things clicked for me and I understood what each character did, the game portion felt good to improve at! I played with all the characters and I think my favorite ended up being Orchk. I mained Pastoriche originally but it felt like compared to the others, even though his ability was cool, it had a longer startup, whereas I was really cooking the other characters on Orchk!
Steel Love: The Video Game
This was production.
All the models look are so charming and the
geometrical design of the town is satisfying to look at.
That handcraft feel leaves me warm and fuzzy in the belly.
I mean to say, I would eat this game.
The only worry is that sometimes Ol' Chromebeak
gets a little lost between screens post transition, but
also there are screen transitions.
Fixed Camera Angles are my kryptonite, and frankly
these are immaculate.
Such a simple appeal.
(P.S. The Casino is suspect, there are far too many arcade machines)

I flubbed when I tried to swap out the old .gsbproj file for the web export
and accidentally removed my game from the submissions. This is a bit awkward
but here's the link to the new ver.
Steel Love Z Hard Bangers:
A stunning showcase of artistic prowess and wit.
I was arrested, overwhelmed, ATTACKED by these lavish backgrounds.
It was so commanding a presentation that I allowed myself to be taken
into that world of grainy haze and daze off unto city heights. A
masterly stroke.
The musical component of the game provided ample service to it's
touchstone scenes, a light emphasis on the dramatic tension brewing
beneath strained speech, or stirring silence between each measured shot.
Needless to say, I was ZETA impressed.
Chromebeaks-
A beautiful tale of life and redemption. Visually diverse and fun.
Some of the clients seem rather suspect, but that too is testament
to the larger overall theme of Compassion. There's an odd aesthetic
sense about the robots but not wholly inauthentic. The sense of
progression every post date night is tangible and clinging. Overall,
I agree with its romance.
