Hey, thanks for checking out the game! Hope it's okay if I reply in English. This is a very short game that was inspired by watching someone teach their loved one with dementia how to sort playing cards into four groups by suit. It got me thinking about how you could take one simple action and turn it into a rich gaming experience for someone who maybe can't play longer card games.

What is the mysterious creature that resides in Pinebrook Lake? Ever since the disappearances and attacks started, rumors have spread of fins, tentacles, large pincers, and even humanlike arms and legs… but nothing about the creature has been verified. Prove the existence of the creature… before it finds you!

Thanks for the feedback! I like to throw in somewhat cosmetic things that are there just to help you visualize your character and the world around you, and not necessarily tie it all back into the narrative or the mechanics (sort of leave it up to the player to do with it what they will). But I can see now how that does make it feel a bit less fleshed out.

This is a print-and-play game. For the multiple choice questions, you can just choose an answer and then continue to the next page. It's not that interactive. Thanks for checking it out!

An expansion to Xenobotanist: The First Flora, Xenobotanist: Harvested is a journaling RPG for 1-2 players that mixes seasonal fun and mayhem (from all four seasons!) with carnivorous plants. This is my passion project and I'm so excited to be sharing it with you all!

This is my first published game. I love solo RPGs, especially journaling ones. I couldn't find a space-themed solo RPG that I wanted to play over and over again, so I made my own!

Long after all life on our planet has gone extinct, the universe is still being explored. You are a xenobotanist, a scientist looking for the fabled four earliest living plant species in the universe. Along the way, you journal your encounters. Will you be sucked into a black hole? Swallowed by a giant space whale? Where else will your travels take you?

This game is based on the Carta system and requires a standard deck of 54 playing cards, including Jokers.
