We were short on time and didn't have time to implement the options menu, that was kind of a last minute decision xd

Will think about the running button, if the game gets updated in the future :p

Thank you for the review!

That's a pretty good suggestion. If we do update the game in the future, I'll put a delay like that (or, at least, try to make the difficulty more managable 馃槄). Did try some balancing during development - for example first level enemies had 7 bullets in the clips before, even 1 enemy could screw you over, so giving them 2 bullets was supposed to counter that. Yet the problem seems to persist in the way you described :p

Thank you for checking it out, and thank you for the suggestions! Really appreciate it!

Haha might have made it a tad bit too difficult 馃槄 Try right clicking to aim, it should help a little to see further away. We'll try to make the difficulty scale better if we continue the game!

Thanks for the review 馃檹

Rated your game! Though my laptop had a low framerate on the game, it was a bit hard to play 馃槄 Still, your game shows promise. Best of luck in the jam!

I'd appreciate if you could give my game a rate as well!

Seems like a game with promise. It doesn't seem particularly optimized though. It runs at a pretty low framerate even downloaded when modern games don't lag on this hardware. If you fix that up, you got a promising game in your hands!

God bless you for adding a limit to gambling I was losing all my money 馃槶

I really enjoyed it! It's a fun concept! I believe you can make it into a bigger game. It feels like something that'd have a vibe of stanley parable for some reason. With some polish and quality of life, I believe the game can be made into something very cool.

I'd appreciate if you could check out my game in exchange! Thank you in advance 馃檹

Concept sure is something! Enjoyed it. It's got replayability too, which is pretty cool.

However I have a serious problem when it comes to gambling in the game (I lost every time)

Ooo, now that's a bullet hell I enjoy. Looks great, and plays great! Went through a few battles and eventually stopped at 1 million boss. The super speed level was goody :d

Left a review.

I'd appreciate if you could rate the game me and my friends made too! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3851868

Beautiful.  Gets harder and harder, in a way that's enjoyable. You could improve the weapon selection imo - but other than that, it's really great. Actually enjoyed playing it.

Played it, and enjoyed it a lot! The art is superb, I love the vibe of it. If you add more content, like more boons and such, and maybe a little tutorial or an explanation on things in game too, it'd be even cooler! Looking forward to see what you'll be making.

If you don't mind, I'd appreciate if you could leave a rating on my game too! The link in the original title was broken I think 馃槄

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3851868 this should work. Thank you in advance!

It's great! I played for a good while, enjoyed it. Never thought one could turn blackjack into a roguelike but here we are :d The scry button is a cool addition. helps reduce the risk and make the game more tactical in a way. Same with god's boons! Helps a ton.

Hey! Rated and reviewed, That is truly a game.
I'd appreciate if you could leave a rating on my game as well!

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3851868

This was, quite something. One of the games of all time, I'd say.
Pretty cool that you did everything from scratch yourself!

Might have made the shooting part a bit too hard, even we struggle with it 馃槄

Thank you for giving it a shot, and for the review!

Hey! Checked your game out, I loved the goofy vibe of it. Left a review and a rate! I'd appreciate if you could check out my game too!

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3851868

Hehe its fun! I love these little games with funny stories like that. "Developer saved my life back there!" the character even breaks the fourth wall! Beautiful.

Hey! Checked your game out. It's adorable! Left a review on the page. I really love the physics of the hamster :d

Here's the game me and my friends made: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/385186

I'd really appreciate if you rated/left a review!

It's adorable! I love it! Good game for a solo dev, especially if its your first game jam.

Best of luck out there!

Thank you!

I thought I had seen it all in card games, but this has brought some interesting twists. Not to mention the artstyle! Very well done.

Wow! That's a very well polished game! Something like this from a solo dev. Well done!

I enjoyed playing it, and its possible to build some interesting decks. Decay cards with that one card that heals based on the amount of decay cards you have in hand - you can deal heaps of damage by hurting yourself, and then heal it right back up. Makes for a good combo.

Had plenty of fun!

Thank you! The review is much appreciated!

That was, very addictive. Spent a bit too much time on it lol. Thank you for that!

I'd appreciate if you could check my game out too 馃檹

Seriously why is it so addictive I didn't expect from such a simple game! Its good! Managed to get around 20k points until I bailed out. Very nice for a solo dev game!

All the cars shall be sacrificed IF IT MEANS SAVING THE DOGGO

Its an adorable game! Pretty cool

NOOOOO POOR TERRIER

It's a cute game! Fits the theme with biscuits. Clickable cars is an interesting mechanic, I accidentally spotted it lol

Thank you! Yeah it's a little difficult haha, me and the other devs barely managed to beat it. If we do continue the work on the game, will definitely add some more checkpoints!

Hey! I checked your game out and left a rating on it. You guys made something pretty cool!
I'd appreciate if you could give the game me n my friends made a shot too. If you're into a bit of action that a top down shooter gives,  I think you'll enjoy it!

https://sandband.itch.io/risk-it-biscuit

Really cool interpretation of the theme! The fact that you guys made almost everything from scratch is so cool! The kind of dificult to get started with though :p But I love the concept! Best of luck in the jam!

I love the artstyle and the sound design of the game! It's creepy, and felt bad for the doggo but, the quality is undeniable. I wish you the best of luck in the game!

The artstyle of the game is just perfect! I felt really bad for the dog(s) though :<

It's a pretty original game, and a concept.

I  wish you the best of luck!

Not a bad game! Risk, reward mechanic makes it more fun than your typical games of the genre.

Then again, it could use some more work - if you continue the work on the game in the future, you could make a more interesting background, some story maybe? thing like that. Some more lasting rewards would be nice too - scale the difficulty a lot, but scale the power a lot - that'd be very interesting, and give a greater feel of progression.

The game has a good promise though.

Best of luck!

Not bad! Risk and Reward mechanic of the game was pretty innovative, but in other terms it could use some work. Overall, a fun game to play!. I'll write more thoughts under the game page.

Checked it out! Its like geometry dash but with a character, quite challenging, yet well polished game.

Its nice! Second level is quite hard, but was fun. It'd be nice if I could use a keyboard key to reset though lol

Best of luck on the jam!

It's a shame you're unable to play. I uploaded first minute of gameplay on the game page - if it interests you maybe you could play in the future ^^ Thank you for dropping your game still!

Hehe it's a goofy game, I love it. I love the hand drawn looking characters, the main character especially.

The game could use some polish. It's got a potential though! I wish you best of luck!

Really good for a solo dev! Feels like a full, fleshed out game that a small company would make. Very well done!

Best of luck!

Ooo blackjack.

I'm now a biscuitilionaire

Or rather, hundredilionaire, but oh well, I don't think I'll want any more cookies for the day

Fun game, is polished and feels smooth to play!

Not bad. Could use some work on the graphics and, y'know, movement - you could have the camera follow more naturally, instead of just being fixed, and maybe have the main character be rotated with a mouse instead of keys. Pretty cool concept though - keep it up!
