Those cute little monsters are also pronouns!
In this Bitsy game, explore a gallery of pixelated creatures called Promons.
They are all impatiently waiting to meet you! Want to join them? It's right this way!

Promons: page 1

Each Promon represents a gendered pronoun (he, she, they, it, fae, per, xe, ... ). Apart from being cute, the intention of the game is to showcase a variety of nice and sometimes unusual neopronouns. 
Each monster has a few lines of cute/funny/quirky flavour text, which illustrates how to use its associated pronoun. 
There is no actual gameplay, it's more like a Pokedex. I should also mention that this game is my personal take on Adam Saltsman's Nanodex!

I hope that you will discover new pronouns you had never heard about, and maybe try some of them for yourself! 🌲

A dreamy promenade suspended in time. Even after visiting all locations multiple times, I still feel like this location is hiding something from me. Intriguing in a delicate way, and so peaceful. The leitmotiv of mirrors perfectly echoes back to the theme of questioning identities.

It is also a subtle initiation (or a guide) to the art of enjoying the Shutter Stroll...

Raw, but sincere and intensely relatable. We have to tell our stories, however much violence they may contain, so the rest of the world cannot pretend they didn't know about it. Keep going!

I've been making games as a hobby for around three years, but I've always felt a bit dissatisfied with my games because they didn't really carry a strong message or value. It takes a lot of work to make a game that's functional and visually appealing to begin with, so I was never able to focus on narration.

Around a year ago, I found out about Bitsy and was immediately seduced: with no coding required and a handy tile editor, I could finally skip the technical stuff and work on the meaningful part of the game experience!

After working on it for several months, I published a few days ago the first game I feel genuinely proud of: a Bitsy based on Ursula Le Guin's theory of carrier-bag fiction. I feel really inspired by this tool and I will keep on making more narrative games with it in the future! Thanks Adam ^_^

Yes, I noticed that! I'm mostly interested in toying around with the basic mechanics of world 1 for now, so I shouldn't need walls, but I'll try to see if I can add the animation for when you step on fire tiles.

Would it be ok for me to reuse your script and assets to make my own SSR custom levels? I would of course credit you and everything :-)
I thought of redoing it all by myself, but since you already did such a great job it would save me the trouble haha

One possibility is that you might not be using the button in the intended way: you have to type something first, and then move your character to the platform to press the button. You don't need to press Enter on your keyboard. Does that help? :-)

Thank you, this is very useful feedback! You're right, there's a clear difficulty curve with the plus puzzles. I can probably make it easier by re-arranging that section so that you can easily come back to previously solved puzzles. I'll keep that in mind for future versions :-)

A Witness-like 2d game. Will you find the three secret elephants?

I am a big fan of the game The Witness by Jonathan Blow and his team, so I started working on a 2d fangame with a lot of puzzles and mysterious areas to explore. If you played the Witness and enjoyed it, or if you just like brainy exploration games, you might have a nice time unravelling the secrets of this little world!

This is a cute and relatively easy puzzle game! The core mechanic is not too complex, but because there's only five levels it feels like the right amount to enjoy :-)

I also got stuck on 'Push Pals Unite' :-(
I really enjoyed the first few levels though, I like that there's enough space to make a false move and sill solve the puzzle!
Why is this elephant so aggressive though? 0_0

It seems like this puzzle is too open-ended to be solved by a single player, so it might be a good idea to share tips and hints here in the comments.
For starters, I'm pretty sure the poster on the wall ('look poster') is going to be important...
[EDIT] Came back to it and was able to solve it on my own, although I used a lot of help from the Discord channel, especially to find how to get started!

It feels like a minimalist version of "A Short Hike", very nice vibe!

Nice little game! It didn't feel too much like cooperation in the second room though, since you had to solve the riddles yourself or ask for help. I enjoyed it anyway!

The health/hunger link behaves mostly like a timer, which puts pressure on the player to go fast! Quite hard, but with incredible artwork, good job!
