Hello! I've looked into your project and I'm pretty impressed! I'm a full time pixel artist, but I'm honestly not the best at ASL. If you would like some environment art or any other animation work please reach out to me on discord: Rojatzo.
I would also be completely open to learn ASL fully in order to help you in your game. It couldn't hurt to add one more language to my knowledge.
Edit: I forgot to link my portfolio, so here it is: https://rojatzoart.com/
Hello, everybody!
My name is Rojatzo and I've been working as a professional full time freelance pixel artist for the entirety of this year and I'm looking for work once more! I have experience in all aspects of asset creation and creative direction, from environment design to character creation and animation.
I'll leave my PORTFOLIO right here so you can check out my best (non-NDA) work.
If you wish to contact me for a project you can always leave a reply to this post or you can adress me on my Discord: Rojatzo.
E-mail: rojatzoartist@gmail.com
I'm looking forward to hearing all about your amazing games and being a part of them!
Hello! I'm interested in working for you.
I'm experienced in both character creation and item design and illustration. Contact me via discord if you wish to speak further! Discord: Rojatzo

Sure thing, bro :D
If this is your first project don't expect for it to blow up immediately. I'm a pixel artist myself and know what it feels like to not have much engagement and think it might be the art when in reality it is mostly luck to get your game noticed (either that or time). Don't give up and keep working and showing off your progress. Good luck!
Hey! From what I've seen you just published your game, right? Give it a shot and let the community find it first. if you would like to change or upgrade your art there are plenty of paid or unpaid artists on the help wanted forum that could give you a hand on design and illustration. Your project sounds like a neat idea, so I hope you continue developing it!
Do you have an amazing idea for an adult visual novel, but you don't have the equipment? Or what if you do know how to render your scenes, but the animations you have aren't really what you're looking for? I can help you get the best results!
I'm opening my commission slots for NSFW animations! if you would like to know more about my current skillset you can check out my negrounds (https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/988826) or you could message me directly on discord at: Rojatzo
I can't wait to learn all about your ideas and get to help you make your dream game come true!
[This post is meant for paid commissions only]

Heyo, it's me again! I'm open for work once more to help you make your dream game a reality! I've been a full-time artist for half a year now and steadily learning and improving my skills. Although I specialize in character and creature creation and design, I also have experience with concept art, animation, tileset creation, UI design and art direction! I'm currently only accepting paid offerings, so if you're willing to hire my services, please make sure to reach out to my Discord (Rojatzo) or my gmail (rojatzoartist@gmail.com).
I'll leave My professional Portfolio here, but also a couple of bits of my work so you can get an idea of what my skillset looks like currently.
I'm both open for SFW and NSFW (Not extreme though) commissions, so don't be afraid to share your ideas!
Anyway, thanks for reading so far and I hope we can work together. Much love.

Update:
Last week I managed to work a bunch on this and uploaded some animations of the character with a backpack. And today, despite some struggles, I uploaded a smaller sprite sheet of the character sitting on a chair and standing up. It's not a lot, but I guess progress is still progress. I'll still try to be consistent and keep up the weekly uploads and see if the project has any traction.
Please, keep in mind that this project of mine can't be top tier quality right now, since I can't place the necessary time into it to be top tier. There will be some pixels missing and maybe a couple of animations might be weird, but I'll try to upgrade the animations as time goes on. RIght now it has only been a week, so bare with me. If you see this, go check it out and leave some feedback! Thank you.

Hello! I can't give you the perspective of someone that has hired people from this page, but I've actually established contact with a bunch of different people that have paid me for my services and come out satisfied with my work. And yes, I think that like the previous comment said, it mostly revolves around trust. Here on itch you don't really get to have a lot of references on the work ethic of the people you might hire here. In my experience, it helps out a lot for people looking for services to check out the artist/developer socials or itch page in order to know if they are actively doing work and are able to deliver what you're asking for. Like, if you get a response from a dev that wants to work for you, but has no portfolio nor has been working on projects recently, it usually indicates a pretty red flag.
In my case, I always promote my services as a pixel artist and animator while showing my most recent work and always linking my portfolio. Recently I've been thinking of updating my website to have reviews of people that have hired my services. I guess what I can say is: be smart about this. It's true Itch contains the most accesible and affordable services for indie games (or even names that come from studios), but there are also a lot of people that don't really know what they are doing. So my advice would be: Research the one that is asking you for the work and see if they are actually putting in effort to sell themselves. If you see they have a good ammount of work under their belt and are constantly looking out for work opportunities, my guess is that they wouldn't risk getting exposed as a scammer.
