Yeah I was able to get a demo running and I was able to get help from someone on the flight controller. He allowed me to use the controller and change it to my likings. I had to make a lot of changes but it is lovely now. I've also made a concept! I hope you like it man! And always, thanks for commenting, these are really helping.

Yeah I'll be sure to start small on this one. I actually have a concept going and I'm actually basing the story off of a 30 page story I wrote for an assignment. So far I really don't think game size will be an issue, but a big issue will be that I'm on mac and idk how much this overpriced piece of junk can handle.

So essentially I'm an amateur game dev and I've released 3 sub-par games. I've refined my programming skills heavily and I've decided that I want to make a new one based around a central story; I want to make one rich with meaning, dialogue, and good storytelling methods. Some of you may say that, well you should just focus on basics, but I can assure you I'm past that. Now, the problem is that I have a central idea in my head of what I want my game to be, but I don't know the process to make it.  Like I know some may say just start with the most basic mechanic and go from there but that's also another problem. I'm creating a first person spaceflight sim and I really don't know where to start. I've actually written a short story already and I plan to use this for my basis but do I just start?

Thank you! Yeah, I'm assuming you are talking mainly about the zombie colliders. It was a bug in the reach distance of the zombie and also the lack of animations that lead to this.

Man, this game is a masterpiece. From the aesthetics to the actual story, this is good. Went into it expecting it to be like nethack but boy was I wrong, the narrative captured me immediately. Great job man! A got a few questions tho:

1. What engine is this written in?(I'm a fellow game dev and definetely curious on how this is done)

2. If this is a custom engine, then what advice would you give in order to make a game like this? For example, where to start, what language, etc.

(IDK if you will answer this but it is worth a shot, curiosity has no limits)

Good concept! Had fun playing this game!

Man this is a great game! I've always loved RTS management games and this is straight up my isle. I also saw that this was maid in Raylib which surprised me, as the raylib games I have seen didn't usually have the polish unlike this one. Impressive job !!

An amazing short game man! I really was engaged sith the short story and the premise of it. The graphics fit the game well and the walking felt smooth. Thanks for a great game!

Thank you sir!

Thank you! Yeah I definetely felt that I couldve added more animations but with the time I had I couldn't really do it! I also felt that the zombies shouldve utilized a pathfinding method as the player can hide from them in the building.

Thanks man!! Yeah I couldn't find bullets in the tilesheet :)

jajaja gracias amigo, hice el juego asi a proposito

Thanks Man!!! :))

lol thanks man! It was my first time creating character walking anim and I tried, but you know...

Lol, I wrote the controls on the page for the game. Honestly it was better if you didn't play it since the project is pretty crappy and it was bug ridden. I just shipped it earlier to work on progress and game jams.

Yo! Thanks for the YTP style vid, it was really funny! Glad you enjoyed it!

and also it was the ending :)

OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR PLAYING!!!! Yeah I had a good story in my head but never executed it well enough unfortunately, but thank you for even considering playing my game! It's truly an honor. (lol the bug gets everyone too :) )

Thank you! :)

Thank You!! :)

Yes as I cancelled the project.

Unfortunately I just had some IRL stuff going on and I needed to take a break from everything and when I got back I didn't have my focus. I ended up scrapping the game also because my story writing isn't very strong yet and I thought it be better to post it as a tech demo and show people that new game devs aren't all bad. The game unfortunately can't be fixed now but I'll be sure to make a completed project and post it here in no time.

Thanks man, that bug was a nasty one and it was a shame I didn't get around to fix before cancellation. But thank you for the support! :)

Thanks for the YT vid! And yes I know the bug is extremely annoying but I was unable to fix it before the project got cancelled. Thanks!!

Yeah it was a nasty bug I was trying to get rid of before developement ended.

Naw, just came up with a random idea.

That actually was where I stopped developement and it is intentional! I was planning more into the story but just ended it there.

About 5 minutes

Thank You!!
