I used Unity. I found a way of doing it now, somewhat but still have to put it to the test.

It was good, however while playing I lacked a purpose besides just getting scrap, maybe im just tired of playing platformers at this point or maybe the game is missing something. What I think its missing is, maybe like a progress bar at the top, that tells you how far you are from the finish, or some kind of checkpoint system. The walk back to the shop is also pretty tedious, maybe something to teleport back between levels would've been good. It's good, dont get me wrong, but its missing some things to make it even better. You could keep working on it, correction, you should.
Well done, I would probably zoom out the camera a little bit, maybe add another type of enemy besides the slimes and the big guy. Ammo also runs out really fasts, and most of the time I was just running around trying to get more. Maybe add another weapon with different ammo or make enemies randomly drop some.
I used the .exe now and it worked fine, still I think you could either decrease enemy HP or increase bullet damage, since enemies are like bullet sponges, took 15 hits to take down one, and 25 for one of the fat guys, its a lot. The rifle does a little more damage i think but still. Maybe like 3-4 bullets for normal enemies and like 10 for the fat guys. I would be nicer then. Also maybe player can regenerate life after each kill.
It's good and really well done, however, why should I collect the crystals? What's the benefit? I got to the second level but didn't felt any kind of progression goin on besides moving the robot around, and it moves reaaally slowly, making actually getting to the crystals kinda a assle, I would gladly do it if there was some kind of reward at the end of each level, get my drill? I would work on that.
I am a nerd for this kind of games, but still, i find it lacking, a lot. First of all, sounds, or at least some music in the background, something to make it more lively, hell I would've been happy with some classical music in the background, but you get the point. Second, gets repetitive fast, and kinda cumbersome with dealing with flying bots. The best solution for this is probably adding some kind of ranged attack, maybe like some staff spell or something (Thats what I was loking for when I first saw the flying bots, a ranged attack) and third, i would get some progression system in, even if it is extremely simple, like some buff system after every completed round, or coins to buy upgrades for attack speed or something like that. This game has a simple buff system you might want to check out. I know that this was a time limited challenge but I you want you can keep working on it and see where it goes.
I'm really dumb and also can't read a single page of text and memorize it, so I didn't really knew how to play if I skipped the text wall. I love the kinda overcooked idea, but something like a simple tutorial or per level design would've fitted this much better. Still, that would've been a lot of work. Still someone might have a better time than me playing it, I would work on the controls and the tutorials/introduction first, for people dumb like me lmao.
I really like this genre, still, maybe a few more upgrades and it would be good to go. Maybe another type of enemy that shoots at the player or something. For upgrades, you could implement something like a multi-shot, each level giving one extra bullet per shot. Upgrade for projectile velocity, maybe a shield to protect the motherboard too. I dont know, but plenty of ways to keep expanding, you could try to keep on working on it and little by little add new simple ideas to it. But i like it, got to wave 11 shite.
Thank you! There really isn't any lore, I was just going with the flow, and the void type while programming just clicked in me so why not lmao. But the main idea was just a robot running tru the shelves of a toy store, trying to get into his box. Even that was well beyond my capabilities so I just came up with this, somewhat inspired on Circus Charlie.
WASD worked for me, also really cool but gets repetitive really fast, would've loved faster respawns, maybe 2 more enemies or something like a buff selection after leveling up, instead of levelling HP, attack speed and all together. I like it a lot, but missed a little more stuff. But still, its really good.
