The animations were amazing! I loved the quotes when the player dies, it was great. Some issues are you can't really tell if you've hit an enemy and there's no audio. Other than that, you've done really good, well done!

Thank you! One of the first things I plan to do is improve the feedback when damaging enemies. Music is also on the to-do!

the control feels good, having some sound effects would do a lot for this game

Developer

Thanks! I put a lot of effort into making the gameplay feel fluid. Sound effects are definitely a priority now!

The premise alone brought me joy and I had fun playing! If I had any one complaint, it's hard to determine whether an enemy has been hit or not. Outside of that, I had a blast.

Glad you liked it! Still tons to work on!

At first the game feels kind of empty but then i discovered that when you jump you could go faster, that just made the game x10 more fun to me don't ask me why lmao.
Also i was suprised to see the 2nd type of enemies, i would suggest if you continue to work on the game is to add more robots and more speedy movement mechanics to you're player movement, it's really cool

The pope model, the art, the health bar, the roman numerals for waves, the story - This is so creative! I love almost every aspect. Without music or progression, it gets a bit stale, and I feel like its missing some feedback for when you hit enemies.  I wish you had spent just a little more time to polish it, but eitherway, I still loved it!

I’m glad you liked it! I plan on making some improvements after the jam based on suggestions from everyone.

I am a nerd for this kind of games, but still, i find it lacking, a lot. First of all, sounds, or at least some music in the background, something to make it more lively, hell I would've been happy with some classical music in the background, but you get the point. Second, gets repetitive fast, and kinda cumbersome with dealing with flying bots. The best solution for this is probably adding some kind of ranged attack, maybe like some staff spell or something (Thats what I was loking for when I first saw the flying bots, a ranged attack) and third, i would get some progression system in, even if it is extremely simple, like some buff system after every completed round, or coins to buy upgrades for attack speed or something like that. This game has a simple buff system you might want to check out. I know that this was a time limited challenge but I you want you can keep working on it and see where it goes.

Thanks for the feedback! I plan to keep on working on it to make it even better!
