Hey, thanks for checking it out!

You can see what I commented below, but basically it was a placeholder I uploaded to make sure that I could at least get something in before the deadline.

If you're interested, I just uploaded the finished version! Can't wait to check out your submission :)

Hey, thanks for checking it out! It was a placeholder I uploaded to make sure that I could at least get something in before the deadline. I have a day job I had to work Friday and Saturday, and unfortunately came down with Covid yesterday so I'm glad it worked out how it did!

If you're interested, I just uploaded the finished version! Can't wait to check out your submission :)

Got it! Super cute idea all around :)

I played it on Windows, it all showed up as one long chain of vertical text. I tried to redownload to take a screenshot but couldn't get the warning to pop up again :(

Hey, thank you so much, and thanks for taking the time to play 😊

Really enjoyed the art style, the backgrounds were super cute! I agree that the credits at the end were super cute, too, was really impressed with the visual aspects all around- the notebook paper textboxes, the camera and spotlighting effects...

I couldn't figure out what to do when writing at the end, clicking outside the paper seemed to make the darkness go away, but I clicked on the paper (maybe too quickly?) and lost all light and the minigame ended.

Overall, super fun!

Very interesting idea! I like the role reversal, a female stalker instead of the stereotypical male, I also really enjoyed the music.

Really fun overall!

Looking forward to it!

Really enjoyed this little game! The convo seemed long at first, but after the story picked up I was hooked! I liked the analogies about being stuck in the body at the end, and I liked how the text would get overwritten quickly and flash back to normal - definitely made me focus hard.

SO good! :)

Really, really enjoyed the art (Roger reminded me of Clint Eastwood, lol!), also the way the shadows of the characters popped up behind the text to add more dimension! The image box when a character is speaking over the phone was also really nicely done!

Great job guys! :)

The music was amazing, and I also liked the code mechanic to unlock different things, makes replaying the game more user-friendly for sure! Great job! :)

Really loved the story! I would've enjoyed some more choices, but it was very well written and I was hooked the whole time!

The content warnings showed up as kinda wonky for me, both at the beginning and the end. And like Wombats said, I definitely think some music would add to the atmosphere. Overall, really good job! :)

Really great job! Loved the VA, and the intro video at the end was wonderful :)

Super adorable- love the art, the gameplay, the music! All very cute :)

I really loved the art at the end with the field of sunflowers :) Overall just a great story, I love that you fleshed out the script so fully with the time given!

Really loved the art, the way the camera moved around the models added a lot to the story, and I like how it goes from black and white to color partway through!

Only got 2 endings, but I really enjoyed the matching mini-game and the way the choices made the paths diverge! Loved it! <3

Loved the models, interesting story! Had a nice feel overall and I think would be really good as a longer game :)

Really enjoyed the use of the 3D house to move around to find interactions! I think overall it could be more on theme - the lips, the char models, the environment... but I really really enjoyed the gameplay! So fun!

I really enjoyed the story and your writing style, I'm excited to see what happens in the next chapters! :)

I like the way the main menu is laid out as the town, I think with some custom assets and more options it would be really unique!

On that same note, changing the background when you go into story mode so you can't see the words behind it would help with immersion. Otherwise, just some minor spelling mistakes that could use revision.

I really liked it, good job even with the obstacles!

Wasn't able to get past the door, maybe an issue with my resolution? When I clicked on the tips most of the words were cut off in the bottom left as well.

On the screen with the door I was able to find and click two question marks and that was it :(

Really liked the look of what I saw, though!

Enjoyed your game, I think the backgrounds could be made to match the coffin/character art a little more, or maybe have the scenes with the coffin take up the whole screen?

Overall really nice job!

Definitely would like to see what the finished game would look like with player choices and branching paths; maybe a way to click away from the eyes and have them keep popping up?

I somewhat agree with the other comment about the longer paragraphs, I didn't really mind the length, but the speed of the scroll effect was a little intense.

Great writing, overall really enjoyed it!

Thank you so much! I have big ideas for the plot so I wanted to take it slow at first! :)

Hey, thank you so much for your feedback!

The loops drove me nuts - I've looked into some ways to make them smoother so I'm going to be trying that out! And the text was definitely a filler for what I initially was inspired by - FF Blur.

Thanks again for playing and taking time to leave a review :)

Hey, than k you so much for the feedback!

I definitely was worried about introducing all the characters at once, I think for the finished project I will take longer to introduce them; and I did notice the text getting close on a few, didn't see it going over, so that's definitely a coding bit I need to figure out!

And thank you for the feedback on the menu! I customized the external one without thinking about the affect on the in-game one!

Again thank you for taking the time to play and let me know what you thought :)

Super  cute, love the art style and interacting with all the entities around the house! Can't wait to see how it all plays out! :)

(1 edit)

I really enjoyed playing this! I played through and got all three endings; I loved the art style and character design, as well as the monster's design. I like how you had to remember what to do and which bathroom to use as well! Would love to see this as a longer game! <3

Really enjoyed the dice mechanic! Made the game super fun and unique. I definitely prefer the art style of mother to that of the other characters but that is just a personal preference! Overall I really liked it :)

Very DDLC. Nice execution, I think giving the player a chance to talk to Eric initially would add more attachment to the characters.

How do I run it?

Thanks so much!

Hey thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked my writing style :)

Cute game; I think it would make more sense for the toast to fall and the toasters to be at the bottom or something like that, lol

Hey thanks for the feedback! Graphics were going to be my next addition if I had time :)

Very cute, reminds me of a slow-paced Overcooked!

Really enjoyed this! Fun to solve :)

Thank you so much! :)

Really great job :)
