If you read the page fully, you will find out that the theme is indeed shopping, but there is also a “limitation” which NEEDS to be incorporated into the game. In this case “cards as a mechanic”.
Yeah and also the game limitation for the jam was “cards as a mechanic” so it seemed more logical for me back then to make everything cards, but when I look back I could have just done a credit card with your stuff.
Remaking it might be a cool challenge. I might be down once I get some free time.
Great suggestions. That’s what i would have done today. It’s my old jam game, I was a lot less experienced so the main priority was just to make something.
Thanks! The idea was that it takes away air time by you being unable to move, but i could maybe add a “hard mode” with extra punishments and maybe faster obstacles.
So many people do this, I don't understand why. Why are not all the pixels not the same size? Your art is beautiful, but it absolutely ruins the immersion for me when I see that the health bar has larger pixels than the frog, which has larger pixels than the clouds. Everything is so well made, just this bothers me. But I dunno, maybe it's a me problem :(
Good work, you're a really talented artist. If you can create this in scratch, I can't fathom what masterpiece you could make in an actual game engine.
Thanks for playing! Not sure which version you played, but on the web version the music is obnoxiously loud and I don’t really know how to fix it since on the exe it’s relatively fine.
Oh, also the cocktails have unique names that hint towards who likes it, but yes you need to discover that combination first.
