Building the Foundations of Pixel Heat City

Since my PixelWheels 16-directions cars collection was released, there has been a constant request to add roads for them...

The vision for PHC (Pixel Heat City) is to create a vibrant, living and Heat metropolis, and every great city starts with its infrastructure. I’m @Pixel_Salvaje, and for this first milestone, I’ve focused on the core of urban life: The Road System.

Modular & Smart Design

Building in an isometric perspective requires pixel precision. To ensure a fluid player experience, I’ve developed a modular road system that does the heavy lifting for you in 256 roads isometric tiles.

  • Isometric Consistency: Every asset is designed to snap perfectly to 32px  grid, ensuring zero gaps and pixel-perfect alignment.
  • Modular Assets: High-quality tiles that allow for endless layouts while maintaining a cohesive "Heat" aesthetic.

My Roadmap

The goal is a massive, functional isometric city. With the roads now "smart" and responsive, the next steps involve:

    I´m workin on more basic animations and weapons atm... Jumping and sliding and sword attacks... When I get all the basic animations needed, I will go for clothing... Is a nice idea, yes, many thx Zubrah :)

    Mostly Photoshop... I do not record how I build the assets... Too much work, I have to do more animations atm... Mostly is hand by hand smashing pixels on my wacom until is smooth. :D no AI.

    Hello Ruben. I was testing this character (64x64) on my Isometric interior assets.. It doesn´t fit on scale... :( This Isometric Interior assets are detailed interiors that need to be toghether with  a big size characters 128x128. Als I have the collection of cars (Pixelwheels) and they also another  smaller size characters (32x32)... Soo... Im in a conflict atm... thinking to release and create this charcater set as 128x128 and also 32x32... SO all my projects could have a charcater to test.

    I was not really planned to add armour and clothing, mostly this asset is used as animation template, isometric references on human body... Although I'm thinking of some scripts that could make the work for dressing this dude. Will be cool yes :)

    Yes, all the assets are separated PNG files organized into folders.

    The assets illustrated are power of 2  size (8x8 16x16 32x32 64x64 px.).. So programs like Unity can handle them more efficient and allow it for a pixel perfect build.
