Hey everyone!
I’ve been hard at work on a new tool called Pixzels, and I wanted to share a quick look at the progress of the Orthographic Projection System.

As many of you know, creating consistent isometric pixel art can be a challenge. To solve this, I’m developing a system that allows you to upload simple 2D orthographic views (Front, Side, and Top) and have the app interpolate them into a 3D-ready isometric object.
Special thanks to @eddort_dev, @oroshibu.bsky.social, @skurovec and @KenneyNL for the inspiration.
How it works (as seen in the video):
- Upload Views: You input your flat pixel art frames.
- Interpolation Modes: You can choose between "Front-Side" or "Front-Side-Top" interpolation.
- The Result: The system calculates the depth and volume, giving you a perfect 3D-orthographic representation that maintains that crisp pixel aesthetic.
Try it out! The app is still very much a work in progress, but I’ve made a web-based version available for you to test. I’m really looking for feedback on the workflow—does the projection feel intuitive? What features would make your isometric pipeline faster?
Check it out here:
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
