That's fair and I'm sorry. I understand why it looks contradictory. After posting my reply, I reported the behavior privately to Itch because I think they should determine whether it's intended or not.

In the previous message I basically said I will try to avoid relying on it but will occasionally use it as I said "not so frequently" and as a small struggling Creator I need all the visibility I can get.

However with the backlash from you with accusations and antagonistic intent and potentially consumers and many other developers I will stop.

If they determine it's unintended therefore wrong to keep doing, I'll respect whatever decision they make and won't do it for other games I will create or develop in the future.

Until then, I'd prefer to let the Itch team investigate and make the final determination.

I appreciate you and others bringing up the concern. I understand why it raised questions, and I hope the team can clarify whether this behavior is intended or not.

Greetings, I'm DTIMAL, the developer of The Infinite Digital Circuit TTRPG. I saw the discussion and understand the concern. I recently found out a unconventional method with specific parameters to keep putting my project to appeared in the Latest/Recent tab and was testing it this past week if it is truly a bug/glitch but also because, as a new greenhorn developer with no connections, stagnant on any growth, and no other options to gain attention. I know getting visibility is difficult with this discovery algorithm and because of that I was getting a bit trigger happy with this method. I have not shared this method for manipulating visibility to any other developer or on the Internet and I plan to keep it that way and stop doing this method so frequently. However since it may affect discovery for other developers, I already let The Itch Team know and they should determine whether this is intended behavior or a bug/glitch. - Thank you for all the concern, It was valid and understandable and if I was in the other side, I would have been the same -DTIMAL

Hello, I have made a Face in the Gloam, a mystery adventure module for The Infinite Digital Circuit TTRPG and as a submission for the Appx. N Jam 2026 Game Jam. If you're wondering what is the Appx. N Jam 2026 Game Jam  or The Infinite Digital Circuit TTRPG, there will be links below. -Thank you everyone for your support -DTIMAL

I hope that was not in poor taste, criticism is needed to grow, especially when starting something new and you're welcome. If you need any advice, you can ask me as an option. Even though I'm also a greenhorn developer I believe my work could also need some work and requires more criticism and review.

That art is public domain, art and graphics I found online, I can draw for example my profile picture but it takes time. Since this was for the Eternal game Jam, I have to go quicker.  My advice is to think like every idea is a gear or tool that could be manipulated  and that is my game philosophy for this system therefore, I'm going to have a lot more rules however rules do not need to be so extensive, if you can explain it with fewer words and even simpler words that can easily be understandable to the reader and easy to comprehend, the better so they can understand the game easier. From what I saw of your work from the intro, I think it could be organized more thoroughly, have less open space, and a little bit more context to expand certain important aspects like the character card, which may or not decrease the page count even further.  I'm not going to criticize you for this but I immediately could tell more of the visuals used Google drawing tools and the text is in a Doc format which is good for conceptual use but not a final product. I recommend using more document making websites and software like Canva if going on the cheaper end because it's free, or Affinity. I also recommend to join some game jams to get some clout, make game people will for sure to look at, and be with like-minded people.

Thank you for the shout out, I hope to see more awesome developments of your Game as a fellow greenhorn developer -DTIMAL

Thank you so much, I enjoyed reading the Dork Mallet intro. -DTIMAL

I appreciate the honesty.

I have created a TTRPG inspired by The Amazing Digital Circus called The Infinite Digital Circuit, if you want to play your own character in a Digital Circus-like world(s)? Well I have made a system for you. If you do download, please give any feedback and please spread it around the Internet, it be a great help. Thank You -DTIMAL

Made for the Eternal TTRPG Jam June 2026 "NIGHT SHIFT" with the Challenge "Single-Room"

My first iteration of Pivot! a Tactical Action Role-playing Grimdark Medieval Fantasy 2d6 system TTRPG,  the setting is a fantasy 16th-century age that collapsed from a Great Calamity and centuries later into a fractured world that is barbaric and dark. Included are simplified rules for players and GMs and a One-Shot Module to play around with. If you do play, please give feedback, it be a great help!

Thank you very much.

I think, the most pointed out problem and only problem was the legibility and I knew this would happen and I hated it. I had so much to add and so little page space and some wording could be fixed. It felt half baked in its current state in my opinion and so I will continue to expand upon this adventure after the game jam.  Thank you for reviewing Super Ballsy Gauntlet!

Thank you for reviewing, I designed this to be Table-Savvy and not Table-Ready to really have GMs have good amount of input and interaction of creativity, versatility, and, improvisation well having a good foundation than running a linear module with every single decision and themes laid out which may alienate certain GMs. I have planned to expand after the game jam.

I would have added more but yeah I was completely over my head for how much content I made, especially on page four and five I was cramming it in. Thank you.

I just love the Tetris usage to this degree and it's a very unique idea and concept for an sport. The formatting is well done and easy to read and the visuals are engaging and good pixel art.

Yeah the small text formatting wasn't for the '80s aesthetic but it was because of space limitations. I just wish I had more space to fit more of what I wanted to do which would be even more than 8 pages. The placing of the text is also by product of space limitation, trying to squish all into only 8 page was extremely hard due to my ambitious and loaded vision but thank you overall for reviewing my game.

Thank you so much, Mecha-Man Maverick is a reference to my own name and I wanted to put an Easter egg to that but also make a gun mini-boss to reference Rush'n Attack. I have so much I wanted to do that I over did what I wanted to do. I have a Google doc that is like 25 pages long just with brainstorming features and ideas. I just chose the most simplest out of them, thank you for reviewing. I will try to streamline it after the jam or even expand upon it.

The side scrolling map is very nice touch to add, the art is well done, and the story is engaging. I say really good job creating a interesting adventure.

Thank you very much, I hope to update and develop the map generator after the game jam. The art and layout was due to time limit and I will also update it after the jam. Hope you enjoy playing this wacky dungeon.

This has a great layout that is well formatted and easy to read and is an awesome adventure .

I really like the hex grid map and the hazards. I think this adventure is very fun and thrilling to play.

I really like the effort to put hand-drawn creatures; it makes it feel very much like an adventurer roughly draw them and I rather enjoyed reading this adventure.

This is a great adventure. It has that Legend of Zelda feel with the items to boot in a small booklet, really impressive.

I really like the doomsday clock mechanic and the vertical progression with the Grapple-Claw. Overall really good

Wonderful and witty. I agree that it is more Ninja Gaiden-inspired and maybe too much strong in-your-face language, but that fits the 80s feel very well, but I wish it had more visuals.
