hahaha i love to see you liking the game so much

we're currently in the middle of refactoring a bunch of the code rn (and im in the middle of a game jam :p) but once we do that and create a nice QA version, you'll be first to get your hands on it :)

what's your discord?

you'll be pleasantly surprised soon... ;)

Same here, I hope you can fix it!

Since the jam was a little impromptu, it feels like a lot of people just barely had not-enough-time to finish their games, so regarding late submissions, I've unlocked the uploads until the in-person event, feel free to work on your games or don't, but regardless, it was a blast jamming with you guys, and I think what I've played so far is awesome.

Nothing's certain, but I'd like it if we judged the winner of the prize at the in-person event based on the "jam versions" of your games, so please at least save a version completed during the jam on your page if you're planning on going to the in-person event. Though I haven't played or even seen all of the games yet, so I don't know how fun that would end up being, haha.

Anyways, I'm going to go take a long overdue nap, thanks everyone for participating!

Yeah, I just changed it to a text field... I wish there was a way to test this sort of thing out *before* a jam starts, but what can you do. Thanks for letting me know!

By the way, does the field work when you are submitting your game? Like is there a multiple choice prompt it gives you or does it not work?

It's all good! Honestly, I didn't even think people would make mobile games for the jam, so I just forgot to include them as an acceptable category. I was playing it while waiting for a build of my game to compile and it works! I'm just not sure if shaking my phone left and right or rotating it left and right controls where the player moves. I got past the green part and then the character got stuck on the roof :p

Thanks, man! Yeah, the player not sticking to the platforms was not intended, but we knew about it and the levels are all completable without being able to stick to the platforms. Unless you meant that you fell through the platforms... In which case, the game runs on a fixed update so the refresh rate shouldn't affect the physics, but I'll check on that before finishing the post-jam version. Glad you liked the artstyle and music though! :)

Ah, thanks a ton, dude! We didn't mean for the title to be misleading, but unfortunately the post-processing shader we made for the game didn't work the same on WebGL :( The floating balls are supposed to be robots that look like the below gif, but I got tired of tweaking the shader a little, rebuilding the game, testing it etc and just gave up eventually...

OMG, I clicked on your profile and remember your game from the Cozy Autumn Jam! I loved this game, our team watched our sound guy Andrew play it over discord and it was a blast. If you ever wanna work with some artists on another jam, DM me on discord (peanut#2453), we could always use a programmer too :>

This game was awesome, it reminded me of playing perfect dark or goldeneye as a kid. I thought the game was a bit unclear at times (it would have been nice if the mantra had popped up on the screen after you picked it up), but definitely impressed by how fun and interesting the game ended up being.

Really fun and super creative... In the spirit of cosmic horror for sure and all around a great game!

Yeah, there was supposed to be a cinematic ending with music and static sounds fading in after you killed the boss, but we couldn't get it working in time to submiit to the jam :p

This game minus the flesh stuff is literally just my real life

The idea for this game is really fun though and I did jump a little in my seat when the monster appeared so I think if the game had sound, it would have been really, really scary!

Oh shoot! Sorry guys, that's not supposed to be there... The game is web only :p, that file is actually just an alternate version of the webgl build, haha

Thanks for the feedback, guy! We'll fix the mouse sensitivity tomorrow :) I loved your game even though I found it kind of hard because I suck at games lol

Loved the audio at the end of this game, we tried to take inspiration from that sequence in our game but ran out of time, haha!

Wow... I can't believe that fungi town game has such a few amount of ratings... It really was a beautiful and interesting game...

Woops, fixed it! I actually also put the wrong link for the first one too LOL

I've played about 20 games so far and I was really impressed by how many quality submissions there were but really surprised how many of those quality submissions didn't get any love! So I wanted to make a thread, not for us to post our own games but to actually post some of the standout games we found from other developers this jam :)

These are my picks, I felt like they were of really high quality, but it seems like very little people have rated or even played these games. Especially Nights in Colour, which I felt like was not only fun, but also nailed the theme.

I thought this game was really cute, and had nice dialogue, but for like 10 minutes at the beginning of the game I had a really hard time figuring out where to go after talking to the werewolf. I got pretty far in the game but wasn't able to finish because I got really stumped on the grocery puzzle. Otherwise pretty awesome game, and the character portraits were really beautiful :)

Started clipping through the ground right as the music picked up, my friends and I all had a giggle. 10/10 But in all honesty, I did try to play this game a few times afterwards, and all three times, I ended up clipping through the floor. I really wish I could have played this game, cause it seems like a really charming game. I especially loved the dolly out to the title card and was hoping to see more cool stuf like that. I would definitely play this game with fixed collision, if you wanted to do that after the voting period.

This game is so pretty and well presented! However, I played thru the whole game hoping that there would be some ramp in difficulty, but it unfortunately never came :( The art was great, and so was the general presentation and UI, I just wish that the game play had something, like a time limit, or an enemy, or something small just to add a bit of flavor to the gameplay, because this game really is well made and polished, but the gameplay just leaves a lot to be desired. Overall not that bad, though.

Super good game guys. Felt super atmospheric and I love the way everything looks and feels. Looking at some of the other reviews, it seems like even though I finished the game, I didn't get to do everything, which is a bummer, but otherwise it's a very cozy game, which is all one could ask for in this jam! :)

Really cute game, but I felt like when I reset puzzles sometimes, the timer on the timed blocks didn't reset with the level, which was a little frustrating. The pixel art and the vibe were great, however!

This was a pretty awesome submission, I had a lot of fun playing the game and actually felt I was getting better at it after a while, which was super cool :)

The artstyle of the game is really nice. You'll have to send me the brush you used on the tree branches, I love the texture!!

I love the idea behind the game and it's very cool that you were able to get so much done in two weeks working alone! The game reminded me of the droid segments in the first KOTOR game :) The shaders are definitely pretty awesome, although there are a few visual bugs, this is a really pretty game.

Most of the things that could be improved with the game are little things, like the playing being able to move before an animation finishes, the lack of AA and postprocessing, grammar errors, etc. No geral, muito bom!

I thought this game was really cute and definitely cozy. I really like the premise and the way everything looked. There were a lot of games in the jam that had a similar hook(talk to people then collect stuff), but this was one of the only ones I felt where that actually meshed with the idea behind the game. Really awesome stuff!

I love your little guy so much and I will protect him with my life........

I think I found them all? Our team backseated me while I was playing and we turned the entire room over and found 3 games, not sure if there was a really well hidden 4th one but my favorite one has to be the Galaga/Snake one! I don't know if it took direct inspiration from any games, but I thought it had a unique mechanic and got tense at times, which is impressive for a game inside of another game jam game, let alone a game jam game in general. Really great work!

This year has been my first year doing anything like this, so pretty much every game jam I do, there is something new being put in I've never tried before. One thing that was super awesome though was that my team put a dynamic music system in our game for this jam! Our game is about reminiscing with an old friend by drawing, so we used musical cues to guide the player to the right things to draw. When you are looking around, an ambient music loop plays, and when you start drawing the correct object for a certain period of time, the music will change to a more melodic loop. Finally, when you send the drawing, it plays this big musical flourish and then begins playing the next set of tracks. There were other new things I tried for this jam, like shaders, dialogue, etc but I had the most fun working with our composer on this!

im happy you had fun :) we played your game too and thought it was really charming!

take a screenshot!!! i wanna see :))

I thought this was a great game! Seriously I feel like this is probably, out of all of the other games, the one that hit the prompt the best while still being creative and fun! First game I played tonight that made me engrossed in playing :)

This is a really comfy game to play with the rest of my team, shooting the sh*t together and whatnot! I think the art is really beautiful and I think the premise is really cute. I just wish the gameplay was a bit more interesting beyond spinning around with a vacuum collecting leaves, I feel like something more interesting could have been done with the ability to suck up objects with a vacuum. Overall this was a really good game, and definitely couldnt just not say anything about it :)

this game made me very dizzy and i give it points for evoking an feeling in me :)
