HS: 3700?  Maybe 3900.

Great little action platformer - but the controls felt a bit unnatural.

Thanks!

How far did you get?

Thanks a lot!

I'm aware of a couple bugs (like the one you mentioned), but having trouble pinning them down, I'll keep at it!

Thinking about it now that I have some more time in my life. What kinds of things would you like to see?

I might try experimenting with a more 3d combat system like Zone of the Enders, but that might have to be for a sequel or something.

Thanks. Trying to find time to fix some bugs soon and finish putting in Save/Load

watching the playthrough now, looks like you got caught in that progression bug. Wonder if you downloaded our game early on, or did you download it the day you streamed it?

Thanks! Planning to, just need to recharge some batteries and plan out the next steps.

I really enjoyed it! I couldn't figure out how to sell anything though. One thing I found a little confusing was the repair icon on pieces made me think it was a "scrap" or sell icon, maybe just using the classic "wrench" icon for repair for both the mech and parts would communicate it better.  Overall you all made something that's really polished, fun to play, and a looks and sounds great!

Thanks a lot! Yeah, there were some cut features like shields and some weapon art that didn't make it in.  Fortunately I think it's in a place where adding that stuff in will not be too difficult as a lot of the support is already there.  And I want to smooth out the rough edges on the combat (and maybe reducing the amount of inputs).  Thanks for playing!

Love the artwork and great use of limited animation - you've really got the frantic Trigger style poses down!  Found it kinda hard to get a good feel for the timing/rhythm of the button presses, maybe it's a feedback thing?

(1 edit)

Thanks! The map/progression was something James and I had been thinking about using in a game for awhile, and this was a good opportunity to try it out. Hex movement is kind of a nightmare to code.  Thanks for playing!

I had some trouble with  the web version with the camera wanting to drag back to the bottom right constantly, but I had a good time running around and pkewing at enemies.  I loved the enemy mech design too!

Nice music and a fun visual style!  I'm always a sucker for missile swam weapons, too.  I thought the weapon management was a little clunky, maybe one of those could be just the mouse wheel?

Thanks! Been trying to fix a couple gamebreaking bugs, so hopefully if you ran into those I'd hope you'd try it again.  From here I want to smooth out the rough edges on the combat.  There's definitely a lot more that I'd like to add (more weapons! more mechs! more animations! pilot portraits!) and I'm hoping we're in a good place to do that soon in the future.

Thanks for checking it out! It was made for a Gameboy themed jam, so it was made with that resolution in mind. But you should be able to change the screen size in the settings/options.

Things didn't come as far along as we had hoped but thanks for giving it a try!

It happens to the best of us! Thanks a lot for playing!

Thanks! Yeah I admit that the controller notification could be a bit better - maybe something to add into the options menu or have an indicator on the title screen.

Thanks a lot! I agree the dodge is a little loose, and ended up not having enough time to give the background/environment it deserved.
