Nice, I like the work you done. The beam that you added with the cows moving up when you're abducting them is so cool. The shield effect is pretty cool too.

To make the nodes I did do it in blender, I used a flat plane roughly the size of the pentagon faces and used the magnetic tool (not sure what it's actually called) to place each node individually. The snapping magnetic tool automatically rotated it so it faced the right way. I'm sure they're was better ways to do it but I didn't have time to figure it out.

Of course you can, game jams are the perfect place to learn some new things. Besides any one who finds this an interesting idea can take it up for day 2. We're not just limited to one person which is great.

Nicely done! My game was meant to follow a similar premise, but this one's way better. Good job

The visuals for this are awesome, I do like me some retro looks

This is actually so fun :D I found myself addicted. I like the little detail that your sponge grows as it fills up with paint. Also can say i've never played a game as a sponge before so that's a first.

Nice, I like the idea. I loved playing the original so this was a fun take on the game. Nicely Done

Hi all,

I'm primarily a programmer who uses unity, and would like the help of a pixel artist for this jam. I already have a base idea for the jam that can be altered a bit to fit the theme, I'd just like the help of an artist to take some work of my hands. I'm pretty busy with life stuff so won't be working 24/7 on the game but am dedicated to making a fun gaming experience.

Also based in the UK if time zone matters.

If your interested or want to know some more message me on Discord :-

It's your turn to get revenge on the bats now, you're in a world that constantly eats away at your blood so you need to get more from anywhere you can. Just so happens there are some bats trying around (also trying to take your blood) - why not take some of there blood, I'm sure it's safe.

This is a game inspired by old arcade games, the games mechanics and controls are all really simple to understand. As a bonus the game also has a global leaderboard, so why not challenge yourself to get onto the top spot. Watch the gif below for a short highscore run, try beat me if you can.

Link to the game is Here

Thanks for playing and following, hope you enjoy the fixes and new content Ill bring to it shortly.

Gone ahead and rated your game as well

I know, it could have been a lot worse. First time I submitted it wouldn't even load. Thankfully I was able to find and fix the issue in time.

Thanks, I was really trying to get an arcade feel to it - especially because the game jam has partnered up with Ultimate Arcade. I'm glad you liked it, can't wait to see you coming back and smashing the top scorers of the board ;)

Damn 3.5k is still pretty high, the top spot is myself but it was mostly down to luck. The bats just kept lining up perfectly for me to get easy stomps.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing!

Just tried it on mobile and can confirm it is a lot more fun using fingers to shoot. I think I managed to get the top spot

I can see something like this having potential, I liked the way how to shoot - aiming seemed a bit off. Maybe I should try it on mobile assuming it works.

Fun game!

You can tell you've really put in a lot of effort, and it's came out really well. I petted a hedgehog with I thought would be a bad idea but who'd have known it wasn't. I hope you keep working on it and get all the stuff you mentioned in the Discord done. Would like to see it fully completed.

Great job!

Doodles games are always fun right, especially when there done for game jams. I like how the levels kept changing up a bit. The fading away when dying was pretty sweet as well.

Good game, well done!

I enjoyed playing this, Ill probably come back to it later after playing some more games to try and get a better score. It starts of pretty slow so takes sometime but still fun. I hope there's a speed upgrade as well ;)

Wow, amazing that you got this done. It feels like a completed game. The art is amazing, good sound as well. It seems really hard to get a good score, trying to make time to get out of the game to remove the cockroaches is pretty tricky but still really fun to play.

You've probably got the best menu screen I think I've ever seen in a game jam game, it was amazing. Gameplay was really fun too, just like someone else has said the scaling of difficulty was really well done.

Loved it, really fun. The lighting was really good, especially liked how it would fade the sides away.

Thanks for playing, I didn't get a chance to work on the menus / UI unfortunately so all I could do was put some text underneath the play level button that says to use the arrow keys to switch between them.

Hi,

I am looking for an artist who can draw in an anime style, some of the art I'd like would be NSFW. It would be unpaid unfortunately as it was just a hobby / portfolio project that I wanted to make. However if it was to make any money after it was finished there would be some profit available then.

For those curios it is for a card game that is inspired by the 'Card Jitsu' mini game from club penguin.

Thanks

Nice game you've got, It was a really simple idea yet fun and a bit of a challenge as well. Only things I'd say is it's missing some background music. And sometimes if the planets are on the 3 and 9 o'clock positions the arrows can easily come in from the side quickly ending your game (however the player can just counteract that by rotating 90 degrees) so that's not really that much of an issue.

I enjoyed playing it, good submission!

I've already played your game, It was really fun

Done

Thanks, I really liked yours as well!

Thanks for the awesome feedback, I have already started fixing some of the issues taking into account everything you've said.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it

Thanks

Thanks for your feedback, I totally agree with what you've said. Just to clarify the connection to the theme - The hoverboard is using magnetic levitation on top of the tracks, and the pads you can jump on change the polarity of the magnets pulling you up instead. I'm glad you liked it though!

This was a fun game, it felt pretty well polished. The feeling of timing the switches just right and moving past the level quickly whilst also getting the stars is so satisfying. The sound as well was pretty spot on. Really enjoyed it, nothing bad to say about it. Great job!

<3 Thanks

Thanks for giving it ago, and for your feedback. We'll keep it in mind when we fix it up. Thanks

Thanks for playing! It was supposed to have speed scaling but we had some last minute bugs that stopped it. I've fixed it now, it just wasn't in this version unfortunately.

I'm glad you liked it, I believe after the game jam has finished we intend on finishing it up. Hopefully you can check it out then

Thanks!
