I really like this comic called JETX.
Its basically what happens if you mash the best parts of Sonic, Megaman, and both their game elements and comic elements into one. The style, the action, and the art just feels so vivid and pops in every page.
Jet himself is a wild guy. He's fast. He doesn't take shit from anyone. He's about as cool and collected in all kinds of danger. The only thing that ever gets in his way is the vile Malicious Fingers. Malicious is about as evil as any mad scientist can be, but he's a classy kind of guy. He may revel in the torture of humanity, but at least he'll make the torture as fun as a wild ride. If he didn't have that speedster kid in the way, he'd rule the world already.
There's also Katrina and Leon, Jet's best friends. They may not be as chillaxed as our "totally humble" hero, but they're just as determined to do what's right. The story itself is still ongoing with a good chunk of chapters available to purchase and read here. As a fan, I buy every available chapter digitally because they're accessible, and I really enjoy the artwork + digital goodies that come with every chapter purchase. The author's a pretty cool guy too. Sometimes, I don't think he realizes how much of a fan I am of his work. It just tickles my fancy in that part of my brain that just misses those kinds of shows that was pure action but felt as vibrant and free as its inspirations.
Seriously, go check out JETX. I'll even link the first chapter to buy here because I can't not share it: https://crazylunaticxd.itch.io/jetx-chapter-1
I don't often buy comics physically or digitally. Heck I don't even read comics that much at all. Ever. But if a story like this was able to capture my attention enough to purchase it AND enjoy it? This guy did something right.
Go, go. Super JETX! Save the day from Fingers, Malicious!
