I missed this notif and its been a while… sorry about that. If this is somehow still relevant to you, I’ve increased performance somewhat with the latest update. In particular general framerates should be much much better. Searching/filtering characters still takes too long when you have a very large amount of characters but hopefully it’s manageable now.

Theoretically the program should also use less memory now which I suspect would be the cause of your crashes.

Hi, unfortunately I couldn’t reproduce either issue. However, I’ve pushed a new update (0.3.0) which fingers crossed addresses both issues anyway. I’ve guessed that they’re either A) the font having issues or B) the extremely terrible way I was rendering the characters causing graphics issues or C) both.

I’ve added a fallback font (which should be used when missing characters are found, which would usually be the cause of squares in text), and it now renders the characters in a much more sensible way (which should hopefully also help with any performance issues). Also, I’ve updated the Godot Engine version for good measure.

Sorry for the bug and thank you for the thorough investigation! Sounds like it was probably a dumb error on my part - I have a few spare hours so I’ll have a look this evening and see what I can find :)

Hi there! Thanks for using this and for the kind words ^_^! Sorry for the bug - should be fixed with the latest version: https://mothmakes.itch.io/tunic-language-logger/devlog/769784/v011-patch-notes

Art is brilliant, AI is hilarious, although perhaps too prone to completely blocking up roads. I like the floaty feel of the controls. Some random generation would be great but the chaos was very enjoyable

Looks great - and impressive for only 1 week. I think the concept is really cool! Couple of suggestions: I would make the highlighted card hover on top of other cards so you can see the full description. Also, it seems like recolour allows you to kill opponents - maybe too op?

The concept was interesting, but I think it might contradict the speed element of it a bit. Changing views was a bit clunky, and it was quite awkward when combined with the platforming aspect. Good aesthetic though

A cool puzzle game, would be helpful to be able to move at a slower speed. I kept crashing into spikes accidently

Interesting. I would say that shooting shoots the opposite direction is probably a bit too difficult - maybe don't reverse the direction. Also, I couldn't exit when in a match. But a great first game jam submission!

"You hear something inside. It is the sound of dick ripping." - Amazing. Oh, and the art is great too

An impressive feat for such a short time - there is a ton of content here. Its intriguing, and I want to play it some more! (but I do have a lot of submissions to go through still...)

Art is brilliant, and the concept is fun! My main issue though is that the controls are a little hard to handle. Its also quite easy to lose the magnet and have to reset. Perhaps adding a button to swap the magnet colour, and another to recall the magnet would be good. I'd also recommend making the magnet non-collideable when being recalled - it was a little frustrating having to try get it back and then waiting a while. Other than that, I did enjoy it!

Oooo I like how it looks, a cool aesthetic and I was not expecting the infinity ring thing to start moving. I'd like to see a full version, maybe after the jam you could upload the version with the text?

Well balanced enemies, quite fun to dodge the shots. I think an explanation on the shooting modes might help, I'm still not sure what they were for. Additionally, the "melee" enemies could be made to target the player more. A good amount of systems built in such a short time (save system, animations, checkpoints, random enemy paths, etc)

Interesting game, but sadly not made for this game jam

A nice concept - looks pretty cool too. Although I struggled to change to the correct colour - it would definitely help if the character changed colour as well, or maybe the colours were limited to only 2

Wow, this looks great! I'm definitely going to have to run a campaign or oneshot of this
