Interesting and challenging game! I included it in my Yogscast Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
charming aesthetic and art style :) procedural gen and scrolling kept the game challenging and fresh. I think sometimes the procedural generation makes unbeatable or very difficult levels? but I understand that's difficult to program for. overall very fun game :)
I love the palette changing as well as changing between seeing the platforms and dangers. I think the autoscroll as well helped keep the game from being to easy.
The procedural generation was good and the palette change option was nice to see!
The procedural generation was quite good and I loved the retro aesthetic. I'm not sure that it's always winnable though, and if it is then it's very hard. Very good concept though!
This was a very cool concept, and a lot of elements of the execution were really good! The procedural and the additional palettes were really nice touches! I think I would have liked the controls better if the swapping was independent of movement. So for instance to press q you have to sacrifice some of the characters mobility/responsiveness, which imo detracts from the experience. But overall the concept is awesome and mechanically it's very complete. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the controls are awkward and definitely could be improved.
Interesting game, I really liked the concept! It was tense at times, with the bottom of the screen getting closer and closer, having to make blind leaps of faith since I didn't have time to check - I loved how intense it got! The artwork was great too, the limited palette works great and the sprites are really charming. The distance meter was a good addition, it made repeat playthroughs more of a challenge to beat my best score. It's a fun little platformer, so well done on getting it made!
Thank you for commenting. I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!
The concept was interesting, but I think it might contradict the speed element of it a bit. Changing views was a bit clunky, and it was quite awkward when combined with the platforming aspect. Good aesthetic though
Thank you for leaving a comment. I agree that the switching of views isn't as nice as it could have been.
Really difficult (too much for me), but it's a good concept and I'm sure skilled players would like competing for high scores.
Thank you for the feedback! It is definitely too difficult.
