Wow thank you so much! I appreciate the encouragement despite there being a lot of shortcomings. You’ve made my day :)! I hope my next game (it will have the same pixel art style) will make up for your experience here. Thank you again for the support!

Thank you for the feedback! I can’t edit the game until the game jam ends, but I definitely plan on fixing a bunch of the things mentioned. I know it’s not too clear in the game, but the more you touch the stickers, the more that spawn out of control (chain reaction theme), so it’s best to avoid them. Thanks again for playing :D
Like the atmosphere and the art a lot! I was intrigued by the story and it got me to try and get more endings.
I did get stuck and couldn’t move, but it was in the first room, so it was quick to get back to where I was. I also got lost really often. I think a map or more intuitive placement of where she spawns in rooms would help a lot.
Thank you for the detailed feedback! I’m glad people like the art direction!
If I had more time, I’d definitely try to make instructions more clear! But I also designed it to be a trial-and-error type of game (like WarioWare). That’s why I made it quick and easy to jump right back in after a gameover.
The “appease him” challenge was originally meant to be about guiding Doki’s rare pair Dynasty Warrior ship to kiss each other, but I was running out of time and had to change the sprites to D.A.D. and “pretty lady.” That’s why overlapping doesn’t work; the sprites are supposed to be kissing and need to be adjacent haha. But I understand the confusion.
Dang, almost fooled you. I did mean to change all the SFX, but, you guessed it, no time. But it looks like it worked out. Yay!
Aye, a fellow WarioWare game! The different visuals styles really work well for that WarioWare look. Love it!
I do agree about the controls/instructions not being clear. I also struggled with that in my own game, but I limited the controls to be keyboard only, so there’s less of a chance for confusion.
Thank you so much for playing and leaving such a lovely post!!! I loved watching your playthrough and your reactions were really cute and fun! Thank you so much for being so positive despite how janky the game is. I’m glad you enjoyed it!!!
I’m currently working on developing a demo for a larger game, so updates to this game won’t be likely. Maybe in the future when I have more time. :’( For my next game, I’ll definitely have more art!
And yes! You have permission to use my art for your thumbnail.
I normally don’t like turn based games, but the unique combat system was pretty fun. I did feel like I was just going through the process instead of thinking about what I should do after the first set of monsters though. Honestly, the last row of monsters somehow felt easier than the starting ones. So much so that I just kept spamming the headbutt? attack (the one where it takes hp to deal damage) without fearing that my character will die. I had all my smelling salts and never used the healing items after the first battle. Maybe increase the difficulty incrementally, and instead of making all of their attacks available from the start, add them as the player progesses, so there’s something new to keep the player’s attention?
Storywise, I really liked the character dynamics and their dialogue was fun! I did miss out on some texts because I’d accidentally click on a choice while trying to move on to the next text box. I personally use Galv’s choice pause plugin to fix that.
I also came across the softlocking bug mentioned on your page. It’s unfortunate because I was really invested up until that point and wanted to know what the story was about.
Aside from the issues already mentioned on your page, I really enjoyed it! The character designs and personalities were definitely the best parts.
Hello! I've written out the answer below.
Answer: wall
(The case shouldn't matter.)
If you turn off the room's light (you can use items to light up the room instead), there should be an outline of a human body (in the fetal position) on the wall. That was supposed to be the hint for the word puzzle, but I guess that wasn't very obvious. My bad!
The smaller outline was supposed to be where the killer buried the murder weapon, but I didn't have enough time to explain everything. Maybe one day I'll fix and flesh out this game.
Thank you for playing!
