I’m glad you’re seeing it at all haha. I’m bad at marketing 😭

I make music and post it on here (ideally!) for other developers to use in games or other projects. Because itch doesn’t have a lot of explicit tools to showcase audio assets in the same way they would for visual assets, what kinds of things do you look for and what would you ideally see in audio assets to help decide if they’re a good fit for your projects? All the way up from the assets page on itch when you’re browsing to the actual audio asset page.
- Are there bits of technical information you want to see in the asset page?
- Genre and tempo?
- Would defining a mood help more?
- For music, do you want to know how long something is up front?
- Files specifications? Are you immediately going to turn down a 44.1khz file for some reason?
I’m sure there’s more stuff to get into but what are people looking for and how can I make things as pleasant as possible as the person posting audio asset projects?
Thanks! I’m glad that’s coming across. It’s almost October so it’ll be time for me to try and outdo myself haha.

I don’t know where to posts bugs so if this is the wrong place, feel free to let me know!
I hit a really random bug where the cleric beast hit me once and then my controls mostly stopped working. I could still use the dpad but the shoulder and face buttons didn’t do anything. Here’s a timestamp to see it in-game: (2:02:01) https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1282769604?t=2h2m1s
I needed to stop playing after anyway so it might be a total one-off but I thought I’d pass it along just in case! Otherwise, fantastic game!
Last year, I took part in a daily art challenged called Soulstober and composed a track a day. This is that collection of music touched up a little and packaged for use in other projects. Each track has varying intensity and feel but they’re all dark and moody like you’d expect from a Dark Souls-style game.
I’d like to release more music/music packs in the future but I’m very new to making game music so I’m not entirely sure what kind of things people would need or how to better package my material for use in game projects. Any feedback in that department is very welcome!
If you’d like to listen to all the music before you download it, I posted the whole collection on Youtube. If you like what you hear, Witching Hour is currently free to download so please do that!

EDIT: I mentioned the Soulstober thing but if you wanna check it out, the prompts are on Twitter! https://twitter.com/soulstober
I can’t say I’m super familiar with the music from Black Ops 3. I’ll go back and give it a listen! Glad you enjoyed the track, though! 😊
Part 2 of “I didn’t really think anyone would want extra stuff of this thing” haha. I don’t think I can get a poster made of the art for these current releases but I’m not opposed to the idea. That would be a lot of fun!
Thanks! I’m glad you like the music. I was considering uploading my stuff to Spotify but I wasn’t sure if anyone would really care to listen to it casually lol. I’ll figure out the best way to do it and I’ll update whenever that happens :D
Thanks! You can absolutely use the tracks. I toggled it as CC 4.0 but I guess it doesn’t surface it to people. You can totally use it just be sure to attribute me whereever it makes sense. I also wouldn’t mind a seeing whatever you make!
