Yes, I spent valuable time that I did not have altering the graphics to include a nod to this game jam in my game lol.

This is just a tutorial / demo level, and you're supposed to die at the end.
That being said, it is possible to kill all of the zombies.

The carbine reloads when it runs empty or you hit R.
You have to let off the trigger for it to reload.

Interesting concept. I got 3 purple and 1 red planted and then nothing would plant any more even with several seed packets.

Ahh I loved "Wonderful End of the World"

Great nod to a fun game.

cookie clicker but with cats. Love the idea, implementation could use (as always in these jams) more time :D

Interesting concept. I felt like the shield was not applying. Also, changing to "space to advance text" would be helpful as I had to start over when I looked away from the screen for a split second (missed what floors I needed to go to)

lol I messed up the original entry trying to add a simple restart. Here is the restart version. Not sure if it's warranted since it's just a tutorial level.

I was trying to add "restart on death" per request. The game has not been altered in any other way. There was no warning on deleting the file, but I can not re-upload even the original file.

I have currently uploaded a backup to https://mikefrom1974.itch.io/chibizombiekiller-restart and linked it in the description for the entry page, but is there any way to allow me to re-upload the game to the entry page?

I stumbled across this XR game jam through sheer chance. Is there somewhere we can go to get a heads up on upcoming XR (and other Godot) jams?

Yeah in hind-sight there could have been many more clever takes on the theme... The initial name was "It Takes Two... Points" with basketball hoops being worth 2 points , but I changed it to Shoot For Two so we didn't have a million games named It Takes Two.
But no hidden meaning, just literally 2 point baskets are the line to the theme.

I can't get any of the webXR games to work (using SteamVR / Index). Steam just gets stuck in "up next"

seconding the request for a windows version (for steamVR) or source code.

interesting take on defense. I had trouble getting the sword to swing properly, and also the stairs felt a bit weird.

Good ideas. I definitely would have added more fanfare if I had time. I had planned a background track for "arcade noises" and some blurry arcade cabinets strewn about for atmosphere as well, but I wound up having to work and only had about 3 total days to work on it.  More to add after the jam I guess.

Yeah, decals inherit transparency from the surface they are cast on, and it seems this is more pronounced on some systems than others. Switching to the darker lighting at the last minute seems to have exacerbated it as well. Thanks for calling it out. Not sure if we're allowed to alter games during the jam, but definitely something to fix.

*sarcastic face* what, you had trouble seeing the huge glowing green START text?
lol j/k. Can you please take a screenshot and let me know what system you were playing on? I'm trying to document some discrepancies between what I saw developing on Index/SteamVR and what players are seeing on their systems.

I enjoyed the style. The singing was nicely creepy. But I couldn't figure out the 3rd animal, and it was really hard to pick up the rocks (aim zone too small or something).

Neat entry though!

I actually liked the music. I had trouble getting the tracks to place though (windows, steam vr, index).

Great, clever idea, and nice to see multiplayer being used.

What system are you playing on? I developed it on Steam VR and it works perfectly.

Also... "Shoot for 2" ... basketball... 2 points per goal (It takes 2) ...

Thanks, done.
Any idea what I did wrong? I clicked through from the game jam page to create the game. Was there a tag or extra step or something I missed to associate it with the jam?

I submitted my game with a good minute and a half left... Did I do something wrong?
