SICK PROJECT!!! KEEP IT UP!!!

Hey thank you so much for the feedback! I agree the parts on walking back and forth is too long and I'm planning to add more interactions along the way so it feels like it's building up the game rather than just wasting time.

For the book, ignore it. It's just my sudden stupid idea. There are some spooky elements planned though I'm working on the next few scenes and I'll work on the additional details later!

Wow thank you for your thorough and honest feedback! All the parts you've talked about, especially the bicycle and moving back and forth part is indeed annoying. I was planning to shrink the amount of time walking or add more interactions, though so far I haven't come up with anything yet. For waking up at the school, you're right it doesn't add anything, it's just a dream I once had and just put it there for almost no reason. I guess I'll try to add more connections to the main plot. For the policewoman the logic is indeed wrong, I feel like I need more justifications to let people not discover the accident.

I'll definitely work on these problems in the future, and thank you for your feedback!

This is a very interesting game! I've played through it and only got a 6.

I think the best part is the visuals and audio. Very neat interaction with picking cards and stuff. There was a problem where when I put the cards on the table I can directly click on the paper clips and other interactions on the card without zooming it out, not sure if this is intentional.

I feel like it's a very solid game that just need some improvements on some aspects.

First I don't really think notes and discard pile helps. For notes it refresh itself and you cannot click on it to direct to the card, plus you can only write down the underlined text, making it largely useless. And for discard pile, well, what's the point of discarding, when you can just put all the cards out, and then group them? If you discard something you'll just lose it.

Second I don't really get what's the meaning of making a draw pile and a hand, because to analyze everything you need all the cards out, especially when you get a card that contains a character you don't know. So at the start I just simply draw and put draw and put until all cards are out.

Third the case is soooo hard, it would definitely be a masterpiece if the player expects a very hard level, but to me the truth is so obscure. Reading the solution makes me feel that it's impossible to recreate such story.

Fourth is that you can return from the quiz to the investigation. I feel like the quiz provides a lot more information than the evidence LOL.

I think the most urgent fix is to make the discard pile, draw pile, and notes have a little more meaning (or maybe redo?) so that player will not just put all the cards out without caring anything. Also it would be nice to add a simple case where it's just a killer and a victim, no crazy things going on.

Hey thanks for the comments! The bug is so weird and it existed from the start. So far I experienced on a lot of computers and none of them crashed, but I also received a lot of comments about this crash. I don't know why so I guess it'll just stay there forever until I finish and make an actual downloadable file.

Your game looks cool! I'll definitely try it out soon.

Very interesting game! I liked the retro style a lot. Art is fantastic and I enjoyed the setting in which you try to save yourself from death.

There're just a few problems that are bothering me. First is that the gravity feels so weak, it's very awkward to control the player. Second is the hitbox feels a little off. You probably want to make the hitbox a little smaller than it actually looks like so the player feels more comfortable. Third is to add some prompts throughout the game, like it took me a while to figure out to press E to interact.

Also I think this setting is amazing and I think you can add more plots to it and it would be great.

Thank you for the feedback!

The room with chairs and tables is not meant to be anything to investigate. If you don't do anything you'll get stuck in the corridor in a loop. If you watch carefully you should see a poster on a door showing a number and a book. Each book you collect will decrement the value by 1, and once all books are collected the loop will break and you can exit the school.

I'm not sure that the camera will rotate towards the right, the camera will float up and down while not moving, probably look like rotating.

I would probably make some updates hinting the player better to collect all the book. Thanks again!

Yeah... it's really weird. Thank you for playing though, I just uploaded the newest version and it can hopefully work.

Thank you for the feedback! I've tried to play this game on many people's computer, even on chromebooks, and still cannot find what the freeze is. I just fixed all the meshes and it should work now. Hopefully.

interesting game! the tension build up is really impressive

absolute masterpiece, extremely smooth gameplay, i loved this so much!!! looking forward to more games!

Thanks for the comments!

The freeze feels weird, it works for me and I let some other people playtested it and it worked out for them as well. Maybe the final downloadable version wil work just fine.

yeah i'm planning that on Sunday!
