This might be a bit late, but this is a really good game! The graphics felt really smooth and the levels were challenging as well! How did you manage to code that mechanic?
took me alot of time and prep,l ike 50% of the inperson jam.

THE GAMEEEEEE is very cool and creative. Sound effects fit pretty good, especially the 8 bit retro bg music.

We love more puzzle game representation! Incredibly fun game with fun puzzles. I kept running into a bug when trying to go beneath the surface, but outside of that it was peak!
yep the web export is the issue here, in the editor it runs smoothly.
Awesome game, the art is super clean and everything seems very polished and bug-free. Its definitely one of the best games in this gamejam. Also how did you do the trail effects for the player?
its a mask, the trail is masked to the ground so the other trail is only visible inside.
Overall very solid. The main thing I found annoying was that sometimes the controls, specifically going under the surface could feel unresponsive at times, which was stacked upon the fact that once I died I would then have to collect every single orb again. Clearly a lot of effort was put into this game and it shows, the gameplay mechanic and how it ties to the theme really makes this game stand out :)
we have mainly focused on making the game more puzzling and for earlier levels it works but for final levels like 12,13 it is lil hard as they are the final levels. thank you for the feedback though!
the web export messed up the timings and stuff and so the mechanic feels unresponsive due to the checks being done in lower timings.
Overall, a very nice aesthetic, especially how much effects stack on top of each other. How long have you guys been making games for? Kudos to the vfx artist in the team. The main mechanic feels pretty fleshed out but some levels are lowkey very hard. Great job, keep making cool games 👍.

you've got a pretty fun game!!! Honestly extremely polished. As a side part of my work on professional dev teams, I often try and hunt for bugs and errors, so the fact that no bugs came up in play testing is outstanding! game runs as smooth as butter

This is a great game and I love the art style and the fact that you guys put the theming into game mechanics! I feel like the main mechanic of going beneath the surface is a bit janky since a) it's not very intuitive [although you guys did put it in the itch page description] and b) the timing is awkward and it's not very lenient towards the player. I think the music fits great as well as the sfx. Most levels have good design but some like level 7 (dive to white platform is straight ragebait compared to other levels) and level 5 (jumping is not very intuitive, and it would feel better to reverse the up/down controls imo where down jumps, but the control thing is minor) could be better. Overall, great game! Good luck!

i've playtested for 1 hour and you can only hold right before hitting ground or else you cant go through. r u on mac?
yea, the browser export is kinda messed and it seems to mess with some input timing and overlap checks. so it could sometimes miss the flip window and cause you not go in. kinda sed:<
yeah we had a lot of webport issues too which sucked. thankfully the mechanic isn't too much of a problem overall :D
The mechanics used are very original! Even if I don't see the theme well and it has some voids, it is awesome!
since the theme is beneath the surface, so the player literally goes beneath the surface which is where we implemented he theme :> thx for feedbacks
