This game was really fun! I love survival games and the day and night cycle was really nice. I feel like sometimes the fishing process would be really slow but that's minor. The main thing is that I can't tell how charged up my spear is, but otherwise this game is probably one of the most fun. The art and animations are also amazing! The audio was nice too. The theming might be more "above the surface" but it still works for beneath the surface. Again, super fun game. A truly hidden gem (I really hope you get more votes in the remaining timeframe. good luck!)

Fantastic game you've got here! I think the theme was pretty basic but you guys turned it into a really nice game anyway! First of all, huge props to the pixel artist because that's some great art and animations. Secondly, great idea for a game (who doesn't like a mining game with upgrades?) and I especially love the pickaxe-throw-jump mechanic (kinda reminds me of hollow knight lol). The gameplay was really fun, but I wish some things were a bit more randomized like crystals so not everything was predetermined and replayability would've been higher that way. I love the bossfights too, and don't even get me started on the sound design (amazing sound design). I loved the menu too, simple but great. Definitely one of the best in the jam! Good luck!
This is a great game! I love the kawaii art aesthetic and just the art in general. The sfx were also really nice and the pew text was so good. I feel like it was a bit hard to see projectiles because they were small and were light like the background more or less. I also think that it gets kind of monotonous after a while in terms of actual gameplay, but the new enemies are fun! Overall nice game, could use some more theming, but yeah good game! (also please fix your github repo next time. you should have all the files you used and not in a zip)
I loved this game so much!! The game is so so fun and even though this is a water-themed take on beneath the surface, I feel like it's got a bit more thought into it, which is great. The fact that you can play by yourself to test your skill or with someone else to have fun is amazing too! The enemies and difficulties felt good. Movement was a bit too icy at times, but that's probably a skill issue on my part lol. So simple, so fantastic! One of my favorite games in the jam (I use this phrase sparingly)!
By far one of the coolest games! I can see the effort that went into this (and I was very skeptical that this was made in the time we had, but huge respect to you. was this really solo?). The controls can feel a bit rough at times but it's a fun game. I'm so glad you added a tutorial because it just really solidifies the player's understanding of the game and it's mechanics/controls. This could probably be a category/overall winner. Keep up the amazing work!
This is a great game and I love the art style and the fact that you guys put the theming into game mechanics! I feel like the main mechanic of going beneath the surface is a bit janky since a) it's not very intuitive [although you guys did put it in the itch page description] and b) the timing is awkward and it's not very lenient towards the player. I think the music fits great as well as the sfx. Most levels have good design but some like level 7 (dive to white platform is straight ragebait compared to other levels) and level 5 (jumping is not very intuitive, and it would feel better to reverse the up/down controls imo where down jumps, but the control thing is minor) could be better. Overall, great game! Good luck!
This is a nice, chill game! I love how you put all of the assets together (maybe next time try to make your own!), and the shotgun animation is especially cool. It's kinda weird shooting at your TV but it makes sense game-wise. I feel like there could be more incentive to keep playing and the bat movement is too random (especially at the start) to make the game feel good and the skill curve is just too much imo. I think there could be something like the dog in Duck Hunt where there's something that you shouldn't shoot. Maybe you could make the TNT interactive too? Overall I love the aesthetic though, good job!
The game is really cool! I love how you guys went all in with the story and the game just gives me a cozy vibe (idk why lol). I wish there was a way to skip the dialogue entirely if i come back to play again though. Also since the death screen UI text is in spanish [i believe], it probably would've been better to auto-translate. I think going a bit more into the combat would've been nice and it doesn't feel very balanced (at least from what I've played). The game kind of reminds me of hollow knight though. Great job! (are you going to make this a full-scale project? seeing that you added "demo" to the title)
The art is nice but I wish there was more of a menu and/or tutorial, as it wasn't very intuitive as to what was mine-able and what wasn't. You can kill enemies easy by putting your sword through the wall, and they just go there so maybe next time try looking into zoned enemies (they have a range the player must be in to start attacking). I like the game though, it's pretty fun!
