All around awesome! And one of the few of use that did a different take on the theme.

Graphics, audio, controls, and story were all great well done!

This is a great first game, the controls were a little finicky but the art was great, good job, and keep it up!

I like this, it reminded me of double dragon.

Obviously the art was not finished but the animations and controls were great.

Well done!

The idea is great, I have heard it mentioned a few times, but it's a great implementation.
A bit of polish and finding a way to cut down on the thes would be good.
I didn't find it, but there is a dog to pet! That's a winning addition.

This was realy well done. Looks and sounds great.

I did mond myself tryign to draw the box with the mouse though.

Love the fact you did something different with the theme too!

Technically impressive for the browser well done!

Yeah save and publish creations were on the list but didn't have as much time as I had hoped for the jam.

That's great feedback!

Thanks, I love your creation!

This is actually a Godot bug to do with the window layout when the viewport renders at a smaller size than the project defaults. And only in the web build.

Seems to happen on smaller screens.

I actually spent a lot of time trying to resolve and work around it but yeah a full screen toggle fixes it.

Need to get some time to track down the cause and fix it in engine.

Thanks! There is a severe limit to my artistic abilities too 😜

Yeah in order because that's how it would work in real life.

Hovering over them will highlight red and green to indicate which can be removed.

Also pressing R will remove the next available one.  That was for debugging but maybe I should advertise that as a feature 😜

This was fun. Good job.

No sure if by design or not, but I did find I could just rush most of the levels and make it to the end alive.

Interesting use of the wildcard.

Not sure if I broke something or is just not set to loop, but the music cut out after a bit.

Overall, good job!

Like the other comment, I have no Idea what I was supposed to do, but it was interesting!

Nice game. Simple but well thought out.

I really liked your implementation of ecolocation. Different take on it than I did in my game.

I got lost a couple of times, but great job overall.

I liked the moving about in the dark, forcing you to think about what's ahead.

Some different control options would be great, but other than that, great job!

Agreed! Just ran out of time to animate the archers. :(

I love the art.

It took me a while to understand the heat vision as I spent a long time trying to follow lines before I got to the tutorial bit :D

Good job!

This is a great first game!
Congrats on finishing something and putting it out there.

And a different take on the theme than most!

I love the art style and the theme switching.

I found the controls a little unresponsive at first, and some coyote time would be good.

But once I got used to it, it was fun to run and slash my way through.

You should start upside down, (you are a bat hanging from a tree), The first flap after you wake up should drop out of the tree and turn everything right way up, though.

There is Y-axis inversion in the settings if that's what you meant.

This neat, I had a similar idea early on but could not think of a way to put it all together. You have done it great.

The number keys to switch potions was a tad tricky for some of the levels that needed faster switching. Maybe a mouse wheel to cycle through?

Otherwise, awesome job!

I love the art in this, nice and crisp.

It did take me a few goes to work out how to brew things, but once I found the brew stands it was very fun.

Good Job!

This is a tough but fun game.

I love the intractable tutorial you did, that is a very neat way to teach the controls and mechanics.

Good Job!

This was fun.
I really liked the snappy music and menus. Gives off a real fast-paced stick shooter vibe.

Then in comparison, the default walk speed seemed really slow and unable to keep up with the music. After finding the speed increase item I more understand, but maybe a slight bump to the default speed might help the initial pacing / feel.

Overall very cool. I like the no explanation and work it out for yourself style.

This was fun.
I like the main menu screen where the eye follows the mouse.
Not sure if this is intended but I worked out pretty quickly you can stall on the card select screen to regen to full health before the next wave

"Proof" That all levels and secrets are achievable.

(1 edit)

Yeah I think an onscreen prompt to remind of the restart level button (delete) is needed.

Hoping I have time to add it!

Edit:
I quickly put the controls on screen and added a restart level button on the pause menu.
Hopefully thats enough to reduce confusion.

This is an awesome effort for your first crack at game dev.

While what you have is not a finished game, what is there is good and not janky at all.

Well Done! Keep it up!

This is neat.

I love the comic strip intro and the 2 different views of the battlefield.

I had a couple of ingredients get stuck on the right side of the pot for a while, but they eventually fell in.

Good Job!

I really liked this game, simple on the surface but I can see the potential with the mortar.
Personally, I like the no instructions and discovering what the ingredients did by trail and error.

I like the physics of the objects too, Once I dropped the onion into the mortar, covered it in eyes and managed to get the onion spinning at great speed :D I couldn't reproduce it quick as good a second time though

Very good, I liked the music and I think it fit the atmosphere well, you shouldn't be hard on yourself about that!

Reminded me of the typing games we played at school many a moon ago.

Good job

Very cool, just like other comments, the jump controls a bit loose, sounds like you have already fixed it though. Good Job!

Great job on the atmosphere and music, I was getting jittery and looking behind me waiting for the jump scare.

I liked pressing E to drink and stepping back as far as I could to watch the floating cup :)

Ahhh so fun and annoying at the same time. I would get almost to the end of a level and then press the thing I was not supposed to :)
I did notice a couple of auto tile issues but thats nothign major.
I really like the trail following the player it was subtle but looked great.

Thanks!
I find it's often the simple concepts that are fun. :)

Thanks!
I would loved to have added some more random interactions and dialogue but time was fleeting
