Is Taiwan going to be added?

(1 edit)

Fun and easy to use palette changer, thanks for making it. If possible I'd like to request a few features to the Palette Builder:

  1. Revert a single palette color back to its base color
  2. Copy a single palette color (hue, saturation, value) and paste it as a value to another
  3. Option to always display the base sprite in the preview panel

What's the license for these?

Do you have any place to sample the music and sfx?

I maintain that I did not cheat.

Are you saying that you did not create any fake accounts to do voting for your game?

This was an interesting game. It had a surprising amount of depth into it (haha). I like the sense of exploration in a way that you don't know what's ahead of you as you venture further down. The gameplay was fine but could've used some refinement.

Some tips:

  • Give the user time to stop and read instructions. The starting screen about controls automatically goes away in a few seconds so the first time I had to exit the game and come back to it. The same issue comes across in the mini-game about memorizing patterns. On first time I was just looking at the patterns thinking what is this, and only after realized it was a memory game.
  • The memory game had 2 similar shaped symbols (the big and little 'O'). Be vary of doing something like this.
  • The goal of the game isn't obvious. At first I was trying to catch fish, but couldn't. Then I was trying to catch the glowy things but ended up chasing them as they all swam away. Only at some point I noticed the separate lure button.
  • After the memorization mini-game you had to go towards the target. I didn't get this at all. Was it another mini-game? I pressed towards the creature but the vessel didn't move. In the end the mini-game stopped and I had caught the creature. I don't know what happened.

All in all great job for a game jam. I see you ended up submitting 4 minutes before the deadline haha. So maybe you just didn't have time to refine some of the things.

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it!

Cheers

I was just kidding anyway. ;)

A very polished experience. I don't see myself playing longer than 5min, but I could totally see this on the play store as a hit for the more casual gamer. Great job!

You added the spaceship?!?!

This game needs a quick tutorial in the beginning on how to play. The time limit needs to be removed also as it completely ruins the game in my opinion. Other than that I can see real potential with it. It's one of those simple but hard to master sort of games. Good job!

Thanks. I'll trade my secrets for your glass bending black magic! Just kidding, this is just a very simple surface drawing with blend modes. Everything else is core GM functions as well.

Great idea, executed well. I gave up on level 2 because I'm too stupid for this game lol. I think the first levels should have hints or more guidance on how to play the game so you get the 'thinking right'. A couple of things that shouldn't probably happen is the player and the light being able to drop from the play area. Other than that it's a neat little game for puzzle lovers!

I tried the stretch tool again and I guess I misunderstood it. The dialog says it's a "pull tool" so I thought you could make the glass longer by stretching it from the ends. I missed or forgot what it says about bending the glass. If you plan on extending this I would recommend having instructions available when using the tool because it's quite easy to forget what was said (like in the gas minigame).

Cheers buddy, appreciate it.

This is amazing, so far the best out of the jam for me by a huge margin. It told a beautiful story along with some unique gameplay elements. Few things that could've been better:

  • The stretch tool felt janky and impossible to use. I opted out of this for all the works
  • The blowtorch should have an on/off button because it's impossible to go into small spaces when it burns everything else along the way
  • Zoom would be handy since I often grabbed wrong parts of the tube
  • I didn't understand the gas minigame but somehow got through them.

With all that said this could actually be a real commercial game if expanded more. Great job!

I haven't played anything like this before I think haha. It's definitely NEON! Cool music. To be honest I had a really hard time navigating to the goal because the camera was constantly rotating. I'm not sure if that was intended or not but it made me just randomly circle around until accidentally stumbling to the finish.

Thank you, glad you had some fun with it! :)

Amazing effort for 2 weeks. The game reminds me of Noita. I would've liked to have the jump on mouse right click instead of space. Also I don't think there's any way to exit the game so had to kill the process manually.

A solid racer with some nice car physics. Reminds me of Micro Machines! I found playing with the mouse super odd - this should've been with the arrow keys instead. Also car sounds would've been nice.

Interesting concept. Nice visuals. I think controlling with a mouse is a little bit boring - a spaceship would've been cool! Also as others have said there's some bugs like sometimes the rings being too close to edges where the mouse doesn't reach.

The platforming was pretty solid. However there was no instructions on the controls and how to play the game so I didn't make it past the first challenge.

Spot on for the theme! Sometimes the clients were unhappy/didn't pay no matter what, and since there's no feedback system it's hard to tell whether it was buggy or I did something wrong.

It's a masterpiece

Firstly, submitting previously made games is within the rules.

I wasn't aware of this, as typically this is unheard of in game jams.

Looking at the submissions I don't really see any indication of said "abuse". Secondly, even if you had a game that you've worked for longer what are the odds that it fits the Neon theme? Finally, you're required to submit the project file (probably winners only) which may reveal to  YoYo Games if the project has been worked for longer.
