Thanks a lot for playing. Yeah it’s a bug on Level 2. I couldn’t upload my final build. Glad you enjoyed it and yeah in future I’ll add more enemy types so that players can create elaborate strategies.

Thanks for playing. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks for playing. Yeah I couldn’t upload my final build and it doesn’t progress after Level 2. Also, some new enemy types aren’t spawning. Will update when build when the submission closes. Yeah that boundary killing impact crossed my mind too, didn’t have time to implement it. Will do in the new build. Glad you enjoyed :)

Thanks for playing. You can press the fire button to lasso the enemies and pull them away from walls. I’ve mentioned it in the rules. Letme know if that’s not clear.

Sure… I planned to play it over weekend 😁

Thanks for playing :) !!!

I have written a detailed Devlog aimed towards fellow developers too. You can read all about it and find cool insights and learnings here : Devlog : Farreign

Trapped alone in an unknown dimension, an astronaut longing for his home goes in a journey to sneak pass alien robots and complete a mind-bending puzzle by defying the dimensional rules…

Defy was made in 5 days for submission to AI and Games Game Jam with the theme “Breaking The Rules”… It has received various praises from the folks who played… Would love if the community plays and rates it…

Cool concept, and very nice tutorial levels… It’s very rare to see such good tutorials in small game jams… I also died and couldn’t restart :( I downloaded the patched version too, but still…. Apart from that, nice game… Keep it up…. Would love if you rate mine :)

This was quite fun to play… Liked the music and art style… Keep it up… Would love if you rate mine :)

This was a very challenging approach and I was so happy to see RL trained AI agents in the game… The moment you mentioned RL I knew it was gonna be tricky… Great job on achieving this much consistency in such a short amount of time… Would love to chat more about it… I infact used all these RL stuff PPO, D4PG etc during my MTech thesis…. +100 for the effort and idea… Great job man… :)

Really nice game… Had to keep jumping from platform to platform to not make them disappear… Cool concept… Controls were good too, just the size aspect could have been better and some low hanging platforms and stuff… Keep it up… Would love if you play and rate mine… :)

This was a really good game… The response by the bots were pretty funny… Yeah the controls needed a bit work and maybe press some button to open chat window would have been good…. But a truly unique concept… Keep it up… Would love if you rate mine… :)

Since you liked this one, I’ll go ahead and recommend mine too… It has a similar concept to this… Would love if you’ll check it out… :) https://itch.io/jam/aiandgames-2021/rate/1069648

Hey…. I played your game…. Seems really like we had similar ideas altogether… Very nice work and pretty cool levels… Absolutely loved it… One thing, I personally love challenging puzzles so maybe a little bit of challenge would have been fun… But nonetheless, this really was a jack in the box… Keep it up… :)

I am literally at a loss… What does the rules mean??? :)

The combat was way challenging… I guess a little more cooldown would have been good… Otherwise all I had to do was wait for the boss at the end and let if fall… Maybe chain parry and attack, like if you could parry then it stuns the boss for some time giving you an attack chance…. Overall gameplay was fun, with nice art and music… Good work.. Would love if you play and rate mine too… :)

Thanks a lot for playing… And so happy to see such positive remarks… :)

Thanks a lot for playing… And really glad that you liked it… I know, like the webgl building took 45 mins and it still isn’t loading for some reason… Thanks for downloading and playing the windows version… :)

Thanks so much for playing…. I would be lying if I said I didn’t take inspiration from baba is you… But didn’t want to copy it exactly, so added the platforming aspect and focused on breaking the rules thing and designed my puzzles around it… I felt that way it would be more my own design…

I’ll definitely think of more puzzles and add to it in the future… Thanks a lot :)

Hey man… Thanks for that attack happens only while sprinting advice… I was able to enjoy it so much after that… Had a blast playing it.. Sometimes could see the AI dodging when I was atacking… And those air combats… OMG… Seriously those air clashes I loved it… Also got that One Punch Man achievement and Air something too… Though if we could avoid each other for a long time seemed like it started lagging a little.. If you used RL then I guess the history was getting too long(just a guess)… Also, I am an invert vertical player, would have loved if that input was there… But nonetheless had a blast playing it… Really awesome job…

Would definitely have been a hitter with the AI working…. but the puzzles were good, and the idea was also pretty unique… Keep it up :) Also would love if you rate mine :)

Oh yeah… I came over here from that comment only.. and lol…

Oh… seems like a loop scenario lol… But I remember sprinting and pressing LMB simultaeously… Maybe will give a try again….

It was so cool… Initially I could outsmart him right away, but then nah… That AI son of a b**** gotta take my shoots too… It was like what the hell…. And the blocks come crashing into me like…. Was a pretty fun experience… Would have been great with some audio…. Would love if you play mine :)

Liked the concept… It was pretty cool to see someone try this in a game jam… For some reason though my attack wasn’t working at all(no matter how many times I press LMB)… But yeah the animations and controller are good… (had some lag though)… Overall good entry… Would love if you play mine too :)

Very nice concept…. the chaining took a little to used too, but was very good… The AI is a bit more aggressive but overall very nice game… Would love if you rate mine too.. :)

Thanks a lot for playing…. So glad you liked it… Ah! I knew the art style reminded me of something… :)

Yeah… seems some bug with the webgl version… Please use the windows version and let us know… :)

Thanks for playing… Yeah level 3 was the most fun to develop… Just the idea of not only breaking the rule, but deciding when to break it sounded more challenging and fun… Will definitely add more levels to it in the future… :)

Thanks a lot for playing… So glad you liked the puzzles :)

Thanks for playing… So glad you liked it… I wish there were more levels too lol… Will add more after the jam and let you know :)

Wow… Thanks for playing and completing it man… Will add extra boss fight soon and let you know :)

Vey nice game… It was so fun to just watch them all move around, dance and play song… And a truly unique concept… Loved it… Would love if you play mine too… :)
