The UI needs a decent amount of work. Better spacing (margins & padding), standards (button sizes, text scaling, stretching), and, most importantly, consistent quality. Some things seemed fuzzy, a bit harder to read, kind of oddly positioned on the screen, and unpolished. I wasn't able to use the weapon to actually hit any enemies, so I think that may have been a bug. The sprint also seems a bit too high; maybe try reducing the total available to 100, or normalizing the value to make a full sprint bar display 100% as opposed to what the actual value is. Overall, impressed with your ability to draw attention to your game through outreach. Keep it up!

Sure, which game would you like feedback on?

If you like simulation games, check out the DEMO of LifeSim: https://lifesimulator.itch.io/lifesim-demo

If you like sandbox simulation games, check out LifeSim. I haven't had a lot of luck drawing in any sort of attention with it, unfortunately. https://lifesimulator.itch.io/lifesim-demo

If you are interested in simulation or sandbox games, here's a demo to try: https://lifesimulator.itch.io/lifesim-demo

I'm not sure if you play any games in the simulation genre,  but it would be very cool if you did find my game interesting. I can't say that its fit for streaming in the sense that an audience might want to watch you play it, but I'm not having a lot of luck with discoverability so why not! https://lifesimulator.itch.io/lifesim-demo && https://lifesimulator.itch.io/lifesim

Absolutely, this has potential!

This is a wonderfully nostalgic civilization-building game. I've only just played a few rounds to see the mechanics, but I can certainly say that the experience was enjoyable. The user interface is particularly polished and aesthetically pleasing. Can't wait to see where this goes!

Hi there! My name is Jay.

I've been working on a simulation game for the past few months, and I've just released an update. I wanted to share it here since I haven't had much interest in it.

It's called LifeSim. It's a simple cellular evolutionary sim. Watch over and interact with a population of unique single-celled organisms that reproduce in a limitless three-dimensional space. There are different species, viruses, and randomized genetics that make each session different from the last.

I'm constantly working on this project in my free time and would love some feedback. It can be challenging to test everything on my own, and sometimes I don't catch all the bugs right away.

You can play for free now on Unity! The desktop version is only $2.00, but it is a lot more powerful. I'll be planning updates for this version in the future that allow you to save and load sessions from files, hopefully with a nice user interface.

Check out LifeSim and tell me what you think!

LifeSim

Watch life live, grow, and die over hundreds of generations. See species mutate over time, or diverge into new, unique niches. Observe as they compete for dominance over the environment using specific adaptations, or spiral into extinction from viral outbreaks.

Available on Linux, MacOS,  & Windows
