Thank you for the attention to detail. I fixed these typos and will push an update later.

I will say you can not get everything on your first playthough every island. Some islands you will need to come back to once you have new crew members or new skills.

Thank you for playing!

One of my designs sounded very much like this. You would be a "bean" from the start. After collecting enough DNA you would be bean with legs that can then jump(this gameplay would be like the chrome dinosaur game).  After enough DNA you could choose to go into the water and grow fins(water game play would be like helicopter game), or stay on land and get double jump. If on land you could then eventually choose to get a fly ability (the flying gameplay would be like flappy bird). Finally in each state you could choose to get bigger to break objects, or faster to avoid objects to get to your final evolution. I think its a fun little idea, but didn't want to take the time from my main project.

On gotm.io go into your dashboard for the game.   Click advanced on the bottom left of page.  On the top right of the new screen there is an "Embedding" section.  Click "Download embed file".

This will download an html file.  Go back into itch and where your game is uploaded.  Upload this new html file to replace the old stuff.  Done.  See picture below for help on gotm.io.

Thank you for playing. I play a lot of puzzle games, but making levels is always challenging. It is hard to make a level challenging without being a chore.

I just replied to another comment in the "No more late submissions" thread.

I'd love if you would give my game a try,  It is a casual puzzle game:

My game #6 Windy Valley's gotm.io link is https://gotm.io/kylamon1/windy-valley

I do have my game uploaded on gotm. In fact the game is hosted though gotm.io, but on the spredsheet it is not linked. Is there anything i need to do to fix that?

Ill be honest I couldnt get past the first screen after you talk to the co-host. I feel like I clicked on everything, tried to leave by going to the edges of the screen(like monkey island) but nothing seemed to work.  The little bit I saw was nice.  I do like that style of game.

Interesting game I like the idea of redirecting the lava.

I have a very hard time using the controls provided. It was not very intuitive.

The screen was quite dark.  It would have been better if you could see where you were going.  I dont think that would have taken away from the gameplay.

Unable to play the game. I get an error message "unreachable"

I felt you start out too under powered. also I feel like you shouldnt lose power while sitting on the power mat.  There was not "safe place" to visit the shop.  I really like the idea though.

I couldnt figure out the controls of the game.  I tried clicking, and all buttons on the keyboard and I did not see anything change.

Thanks for playing the game.

  • I did add an undo feature(my first time trying that).
  • I also added a level number label.  A few others on the itch page asked for that.

Thanks for playing the game.

  • I do agree with the sound, it just felt too plain with no sfx.  I dont have any experience with sounds, and I usually play mobile games with the sounds off which is why I added the mute SFX and must music options.

This is my first public Godot project and my first game jam.  Enjoy!

Im glad you enjoyed it.

I can't seem to find that glitch. I know of a small glitch in level 5 where the air will go through a platform for a bit(for some unknown reason), but it fixes itself after about 1-2 seconds. Its weird.

Edit: I made an alternate level design for Level 5 that avoids the glitch mentioned.

I think I liked the earlier submission where you could see the wind. It made it more 'logical' how you need to have your boat aimed to speed up.
