Thanks for the feedback :)

Great game I loved it! Starting off I loved the first cut-scene the idea was also nice.  However I did find some problems in the game. Bullets seem to not register sometimes which is weird. After I died I couldn't respawn which was weird. I love that you added particles a lot of people never add that stuff in game jams and it becomes very noticeable after a while. Other than that it's a solid game. Good job!

Definitely valid criticism. My idea was to add a simple bossfight with some weaker enemies at the end of the tutorial(to explain the madness mechanic) but making the other bossfights took a lot of time so the tutorial was kind of rushed. I might update the game in the future but it's most likely not gonna happen because I am already in the middle of working on another game.

Great game! I loved the art style and music. I also loved navigating around the enemies but the controls were kind of unresponsive at times other than that It was a great game!

Starting off the movement was very smooth especially the sliding. Graphics was simple but nice to look at although the motion blur was a bit too much for me. The movement like I said was great but the gravity felt like it was too low but other than that I loved the game. Good job!

Thanks for your feedback :) You have to use your madness mechanic to do damage when fighting bosses which is explained in the tutorial. I hope that helps just in case you wanna give it another try

Rated. Solid game :)

Starting off I love the visuals. The grappling hook mechanic was also neat. One criticism I have is that as you go down it becomes extremely hard to see it would have been nice if there was more vision. The flashlight is great but I don't think it should have been a shop item. But other than that the game was great. I loved it :)

Glad you defeated him lol a lot of people were struggling to beat him

Starting off I gotta say this is the best take of the theme so far in this gamejam a game inside a game and each game influences the other is a great puzzle game idea. The music was great and I especially loved how the rpg world looked. Only thing I found kind of annoying was the movement in that 2d platformer was too slippery but other than that its a solid experience. I would love to see a full game like this. Definitely one of my favorites this jam.

Yeah and it's especially bad when you are making a ps1 styled game since people would just think the game is badly optimized. I was going to switch it to forward shading so more people can run it but that would require me to recompile shaders and I was already running out of time so I just decided to go with deferred.

Thanks for your feedback :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will most likely increase the fov or add an fov slider as soon as the jam is over

If you rate my hardcore movement shooter I will check your game out and provide constructive criticism: Diving Deeper Into Madness (demo) by KRAIDEV (itch.io)

Really fun take on the theme. The grappling hook worked great and was polished. The visuals look great everything was nicely drawn and beautiful. The UI also does a great job at communicating to the player. I personally found some of the sounds annoying but other than that the game was incredible.

Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah a lot of people don't use Unreal for jams because Unreal games are expensive for no reason. I'm prolly gonna switch to Godot after finishing my current project lol.

Great game I loved the underwater city idea it fits the theme nicely. I personally enjoyed just exploring the underwater city.

Thanks for the feedback! Your comment means a lot to me. For  the bosses you have to get close to them because the six shooter has a low range which in retrospect was not a great idea on my part since the game is already difficult and the not firing issue was on purpose because I didn't have time to make a proper fix to the player being able to cheese the gun lol. It works weirdly because you can only hold down the pistol and trying to tap with the pistol pretty much jams it for 0.3 seconds. I will check your game out tomorrow it's night for me so I gotta sleep.

Pretty good game. The swimming was too slow for my taste but other than that I loved it.

Thanks for the feedback :) There is no triple jump in the game you can do a double jump. As for optimization I couldn't really do much since Unreal 5 is really bloated compared to unity and godot and it doesn't work well with older gpus and the things I could do would take too much time so it's not worth it when making a jam game.

Here is my hardcore movement shooter: https://kraidev.itch.io/deeper-into-madness I will check yours out tommorrow

Thanks for your feedback :) I made the enemy projectiles fast because most of them are actually telegraphed with a sound 2 seconds before they do their attack.
