this is kinda my first jam so i kinda got stressed.. but ye i do have some hours left maybe i can add a funny thing

i dont even wanna know what he did..

You are replying to yourself now, which shows you're just trying to force your theory.

You say downloads went up with the views, so it can't be bots. But as developers, we know exactly how web crawlers and modern AI scrapers work. They don't just look at a page; they script click every single link on it, including the download buttons, to scan the files and data. That’s why both metrics inflated artificially at the exact same time.

Ofi already proved with the Garry's Mod and World of Padman charts that these spikes are synchronized across completely different games. If you choose to ignore synced charts, admin confirmation, and basic web crawler behavior just to protect your own opinion, that's fine. But the developer community sees the ghost traffic for what it is.

I'm done debating this.

Heavily inspired by the original Bubble shooter

this is my first jam so i like i am not even joking i barely slept i wanted everything to be perfect

Redoni i think you're still missing the most definitive proof here. You're saying we can't infer bots just from patterns, but you are forgetting that Ofihombre literally stated the DBolical administration already confirmed the issue and actively tried to block this specific traffic.

Platform admins don't spend time writing filters and blocking IPs for "random fluctuations" or "private browsing humans." If the people running the servers classify it as bot traffic and take measures to stop it, then it IS bot traffic. That completely validates the logic.

As for Google ranking, ranking #9 doesn't justify a platform having corrupted analytics dashboards for its creators. We aren't arguing about whether the site is completely useless to find a game; we are arguing that the stats system is broken, which is exactly why Ofihombre's points are valid.

Dw about it almost all my testers didnt finish it.. especially part 4 and part 3 cause they have 25 areas EACH

if u think that there are 2 part well u didnt finish the game nor the lore, there are 4 parts.. Thanks for the feedback.

Honestly, I got pretty lucky when it came to getting people to know about my game. My dad helped advertise it to his friends and family, and he also shared it online. That gave me a bit of an audience to start with. From there, I just kept promoting the game and posting about it. So I guess having people around me willing to share it definitely helped me get that initial attention.

Hello There !

you still have 1 day left btw...

Hey! Kozmo here ,  as a solo dev i'd say my pain points  are debugging as i have (for some reason)  found it REALLY hard to identify a bug so sometimes i send to claude to IDENTIFY the bug and show me where then i debug it

its been 2 years and this is the time i realize that this guy makes cool games..

Well said, Ofihombre. And yeah, fair point, Redoni raised some good arguments about how small stats can be super random and tricky to read. It's cool to see how different people look at the same data.

In the end, I think we all just want the platform to be as accurate as possible for creators.

awesome update!

I’m a developer on this platform too, and I completely agree with Ofihombre here.

When you spend time making games or mods, you look at your stats to see if real people actually care about your work. Seeing a sudden jump of 1,000 views but getting exactly 0 downloads and 0 comments is just a ghost town effect. That's not normal human behavior, and it's definitely not just "people using private browsing."

Redoni The reason this is a big deal for us devs is that it ruins our data. If we can't trust our view counts, we can't tell if our projects are actually getting popular or if it's just bots scraping the site. It makes the whole dashboard useless.

Thanks for showing the data from Garry's Mod and World of Padman, Ofihombre. It proves this is a real platform issue and you’re definitely not the only one noticing it.

All good, respect for owning up to it. But since you admitted the title is misleading, you should change the topic name from 'I am making an AI' so other people don't get confused too. Let's keep it honest with the community.

no i cant the game lags

All good

Well u didnt say that u said and i quote "I am making an ai" Why didnt u say that before i asked this question💀 Exactly, customizing prompts and giving an existing model a 'personality' is totally different from building or training an AI yourself. You're just hosting a free wrapper for Qwen, not creating a brand new AI.

Checking out Fabricatio doesn't change the definitions. Qwen is a pre-trained LLM developed by Alibaba. Whether you run it via an API or host a "backend version" locally to generate your code, you didn't create the AI. You're implementing a pre-existing tool.

I get that setting up an open-source model locally takes development work. But in tech terms, "making an AI" implies you actually built or trained the underlying model itself. Using a pre-trained model like Qwen means you're integrating an existing tool, not creating the AI from scratch.

I see what you did there with that 'today only' and it kinda worked..

Hey! I’m pretty young so I’m no expert, but I just wanted to say that your project sounds incredibly cool! Don't let the big studios or complicated software like Unreal get you down focusing on your own story, characters, and fictional weapons sounds like way more fun anyway. Since 3D software is too expensive, you should definitely check out Blender, it's 100% free and you can use your 3D skills to help you sketch your 2D drawings. For growing your audience, Substack can be really slow, so maybe try sharing your art and lore on Tumblr or Bluesky, because the worldbuilding and animal art communities there are super active and nice. Take your time, don't rush, and keep drawing what you love!

Hey! I'm no expert and what I say definitely isn't 100% confirmed, but you're likely just seeing a platform quirk rather than a security breach. This "phantom update" wave happens quite a bit on itch.io, usually because the platform flags a whole project as "updated" whenever a developer makes a minor change to the page itself like editing the text description, updating tags, adding new screenshots, or tweaking pricing settings even if the actual game files haven't been touched at all. It can also happen if itch.io rolls out a backend server migration or mass updates regional compliance filters that touch a huge batch of game pages at once, which triggers a false notification in everyone's library feed. Unless the devs actually post a new devlog announcing a content patch, it's almost certainly just a visual metada.

You have my support

tbh i do want to and   i will its just that i got some things to do for the next 2 days , but i will call one of my siblings to play and then give you feedback
