Note, edging mechanic might differ from what you imagine. It doesn't provide new dialogs or unique animations, but affects the orgasm quality.
For female character a bunch of changes is introduced with the same update. Female edging is kinda already in game as a hidden mechanic, it affects the mind state and climax length.
If birthday version worked earlier, then nothing has changed in the game itself. That's probably something on your side. 'Other browsers' on ios are basically just wrappers around safari.
Unfortunately this isn't going to get fixed soon, as you're the only person reporting the problem and on this stage I have no idea what happens to you. On which stage the game fails? Do you get any error messages? I guess you're running it on mobile, so no console logs are available. This might be related to cache issues, or some software updates, or phone settings, or anything.
Honestly I'd like to do it this way. However, from my point of view, I have the list of hundreds of things to 'do anyway regardless the voting'. On other hand each one costs time (from days to weeks) and everyone wants to get releases faster, that's why I can not simply implement everything I want. So voting is my attempt to balance this.
PS Btw, I'm trying to avoid loud words like 'fully customizable' exactly because it's not. So if you've seen it somewhere in game description, I'd be happy to fix that.
Ok, I see the problem. I just hope you’ll read this carefully and understand what I mean, because a lot of time was invested into writing.
First of all, let’s focus on the concept of speed. This game is different from flash-like games, where you simply run animations one-by-one. To speed up the routine these games offer to run it on x2-5 speed. Instead changing the speed in MyJLC is not a simple timeskip, but actual change in real time. So when I said ‘2 frictions/second’ on your screenshot it means exactly what I said.
The next important thing is that this game looks simple, however under the hood it has a math model and rather complicated system of evaluating the player's actions. Everything is based on real life logic, including mechanics, traits and their effects. And all of these were tested for a long time to be played smoothly, to match the same logic and not to be a game breaker.
Now let’s run an imaginary experiment: let’s take an abstract human and a dildo 3-5 cm (1-2”) thick, and start to ass-pound them 2 strokes/second on full depth, without any lube or prep-stretching. Even if we talk about masochistic yandere anal-lover, it doesn’t mean that overcoming unbearable pain should make them happy. Yes, 'warming up' matters. The core mechanic is you have to match the 'tolerance zone'. And there is no trait allowing to ignore that. Numerous traits may increase her tolerance x2-3, but it won't be infinite. So I see nothing wrong on your screenshot: you're doing her on auto, 2 frictions per second, that is actually annoying and painful.
It's pretty easy once you find your way. Note that dildos are the most difficult to master (at least in manual mode), have you tried any other toys instead?
Would you like to mod it yourself or is it just general interest?
Anyway that's a good question, which has no simple answer.
1. Player modding is very cool for prolonging game's life. However MyJLC is in active development, many things are changing. That means even if you get mods, many of them might be easily broken with each release.
2. I tried to make the game extendible, but adding things consumes much time anyway. In addition to multiple sprites each item has individual rig, body coverage data, animation influence data and other. To allow player-made items I'll need to build some editor and then support it instead of developing the game itself.
3. One of the major game features is attention to details. All items are carefully tested to work together, most of them are animated individually. However I can not expect the same from modders. To be honest, most of user mods of such kind I've seen before are low/mid quality and don't match the game style/level/spirit. My heart will be simply broken looking at it.
Long thing short, it's not planned in the nearest future. However I think this might be a good idea when I give up and switch to another game.
Would be great if you can try another browser to check if it's Edge or laptop problem.
Other than that I can only suggest the default steps: clear cache, disable extensions, install updates, repair or reinstall Edge installation etc. Also might be related to bad/old graphics drivers or not enough resources to run the game. Sorry, I can only guess.
If you're asking about web version, then it's complicated. TBH it kinda works in portrait mode but I couldn't figure out the proper setup for itch to allow switching between landscape and portrait. And had not enough time to dig it in deeper.
