Very intense. The puzzles are challenging. Really enjoyed trying to get everything done within 20s.
I wish the text was a bit larger though.
Great game...keep it up!
This game is an absolute BLAST. The game mechanics are really fun and engaging. It reminded me of Karlson by Dani. The visuals are freakin' awesome and I was surprised that there's so much content and it's all so polished. There is potential for this so I hope you continue working on it and go for a full release.
Amazing game...keep it up!
Happy to hear that you enjoyed the game and liked the music. The medieval vibe was exactly what I was going for.
As you said, most of the game design choices I made was because of the 20s jam theme. The inspiration for this game was Slay The Spire, so eventually I would like to have some limitations for the selection, cards to be more balanced and the synergy between the cards to be basis for selection. And I agree about the card appearance...tbh art and UI is the part I'm weakest at. I'll definitely try to improve the visuals in the updated version and also add more filter options to the cards overview.
Thanks a lot for playing and for your feedback. I'll surely work on making improvements to the game in the future.
Yeah, initially that was the plan. But the only reason I didn't give cards too much of a debuff was because of the time limit so that beating the boss ain't too difficult (atleast for this jam). Still there's a chance you can end up with low speed if you blindly select cards.
Thanks a lot for playing. Will surely work on balancing the game and adding more polish to it.
Fun game and very intense. I loved the graphics and UI of the game, they are fantastic. The mini-games were entertaining and perfect for the 20s theme. However, because the movement was also with mouse clicks, because of rapid clicking I ended up clicking on the buttons on the mini-game popup immediately after they appeared due to which I failed some of them, but the rapid clicking was only because of the 20s timer. The sounds and voice over were also great.
Awesome game...keep it up!
This was very deep and a unique concept. It was intense and also emotional at the same time. And I really liked how the first scene also starts in a different pose on each replay. And I really liked how you changed the effect on the screen whenever a wrong letter was input. Sorry, but I could never get to end because my typing speed ain't awesome, max I reached was the 7th one.
Awesome game...keep it up!
I guess the hardest was the Another Way Out ending because it's farther away from the starting point and the hint for it was not easy to trigger. Once I triggered the hint though I knew exactly what to do as I already found the item required for it in a previous run.
Also, The Faithful Friend ending was also a bit hard because the trigger for that is not easily seen even if you move near that location compared to the other trigger points.
Superb game. And it looks absolutely amazing. I enjoyed playing every moment of it. Interesting twist on chess and time. The levels were well planned and made me think of all possibilities and variations. I wish there were some flags/markers we can put on the boards (or auto-marked) to keep track of past pieces making it easier for amateur chess players. But this can totally be released on all platforms as a full game with more levels and some extra features (boosts, power ups, perks, etc.)
Awesome job...keep it up! Would love to play more of it.
Been following you for the last 5yrs since I started game dev and I still can't believe how you accomplished all that in 2 days, while live streaming the process nonetheless. Kudos to you!
It's an awesome game and looks so cool. I did have some confusion with how to make pink and black crystals, wish there was some info tooltip or something. But all the features and mechanics you added in the given time is really amazing!
Just a suggestion, if you're planning to further work on the game and keep the main timer, then maybe you can pause the timer when player selects a tool, reads through the info for the mini-game and then clicks on a Start button to start the mini-game which continues the main timer. Then the results of the mini-game can be shown in the same mini-game popup and again main timer can be paused. Click on the OK button in the popup to close it and continue the main timer. You can additionally add or reduce time from the main timer depending on the results of the mini-game.
Yeah I know...scope creep has always been a bad habit and problem of mine when it came to game jams. It was also my first time attempting to make an idle automation game so I should've been smart and kept it simple but couldn't help it. But I'll definitely work on this game later and improve it.
Thanks a lot for trying it out.
It's a really cool game with interesting mechanics. I really liked the variations of the tools and their minigames. The timer did make me rush through everything and I had no time to look at the clues and the minigame info, just did whatever I thought would work so didn't make any good deals. However, I think this game has potential and would work as a full game or as part of a narrative mystery game.
Awesome job...keep it up!
Interesting and challenging gameplay. Takes a bit to get used to the controls but it's really fun once you get the hang of it. The level design is also very nice making the player use the time stop abilities. But I felt the difficulty needs to be balanced a bit to have some ease out moments.
Overall awesome job...keep it up!
Nice game. Interesting puzzle gameplay.
I would've liked if the items to collect were placed in a way that collecting them in a certain order would allow you the time and range to collect the next one to make the player plan strategically.
But awesome job seeing that this is your first jam...Keep it up!
