Thank you for your reply! And sey, metioning the option/possibility of late entries due to technical failure o.e. is definitly something one should bring up in the rules next time. Although the fact, that many of them were able to update their game during Votingtime was also part of the felt Unfairness. We uploaded one hour before and thought that we could update throughout the Votingtime. But that did not work for us. when we looked into "Latest Submissions" there were updates from games which were late entries. If there is any chace to fix this, please do so in the future.

Thanks!

I agree with you, when it comes to hate or trolling, but on the other hand i can also understand those who are kind of mad.

I have to say, that i feel a bit mad about the acceptance of late submissions...technical errors can happen, but there is nothing in the rules that states that there is an emergency contact for this case, plus some of the late submissions were able too update their game, whereas most regular submitters were not. It feels a bit unfair, cause in other gamejams or events the deadline is actually the deadline, if you missed it (no matter the cause) you are unlucky...

Feels some kind of unfair. And yes, even tho it is an event for fun and expercience, there are rules and a deadline and seeing some of them not being followed is a bit hurtful.

Oh no, we are sorry...

I also had issues playing it on my laptop, because it was too large for my screen. But i reduced the Zoom to 80% in the settings and it worked out totally fine. But we will work on that, so that it will be compatible with mosts browsers and screentypes :)

Thank you a lot!

Tiny and I had a chat about the löate entries, because int he rules it stated that the deadline was non-negociable. There can always be technical errors but there were so many late entries after 7p.m. and i think it is a little unfair towards those who submitted their games in time.

TBH i do not get Leitner's answer, because most rated is not equal to best rated, in my opinion.

But we'll see this evening

Hi there! thank you for your feedback.

The note (aka holding space for a book, which we unfortunatly could not insert in time) is refering to the nordic legend of "Irrlichter" (will-'o-the-wisp) which are small lights often appearing at night close to lakes or marshlands/swamps and leading people into them. Often people died while following the Irrlichter because they ran into the swamps o.e. and were stuck or started drowning.

We did this reference because of the lake nearby the house as well as to introduce Herbert, whose artstyle is based on an Irrlicht.

Hi there,

I'm not quite sure if my answer is correct, but i think the judgement will be based on the ratings itselves not the amount of ratings. So i think they will be taking the average rating (total points of ratings divided by amount of ratings) which would work out for games with less ratings as well.

Hi guys, i was just wondering why we can see the time of upload/update from some games whereas we cannot the this from other games.

For example on our submissionpage we see "Submitted by (Name) - 1 hour 10 minutes before deadline" beneath our title. And we can also see this on other submissionpages. But there are also some games which do not have this timestamp. Was their upload AFTER the deadline? would it disqualify them for the Voting? If yes, how do you track this? Or are all games, which were uploaded after the deadline automatically declined?

In the rules it states that the deadline is non-negotiable, so i was just wondering, if there is any form of Tracking which games were actually uploaded on time.

Thanks!

Danke dir ^^

Thanks a lot! Tiny spend almost an entire day just for backgrounds and character-design, whereas i made the items and Herbert (Ghost). We haven't work together before the gamejam, but our artstyles actually worked out quite well together.

Thank you! We actually composed two sounds ourselves, the one right in the beginning (Menu) and the soundtrack inside the house and in the beginning of the forrest. Tiny decided to add some whispers for extra horrifiying feelings ^^

Thank you !!

Thank you! We wanted to add more detail, but unfortunaly the time was not enough to complete everything. But we want to upload the game on Steam, after the Gamejam and when we polished everything, so it will we even better ^^

Thanks a lot!!! We put quite a lot of effort into the story and brainstorming before programming or artwork and we're also really content with the story overall. Just thought about the theme "Kaputt" in a mental/psychic way, which is exactly whats happening to our main character, she just becomes more and more broken and also made her husband "kaputt".

We were unsure, if everyone would understand the ending, but it seems like a lot of you guys did ^^

Sorry to hear that!

Which Browers are you using? If it is a browser problem, maybe try Microsoft Edge? If it is just the error of using F4 for fullscreen, you can skip that and continue the game on regular screen.

Otherwise try refreshing the browser (which you probably already did ^^), but aside from that i'm currently not able to help you.

I am very sorry!

Thank you! :)

Thank you a lot! That was kind of a vibe we were going for. Our focus was creating an atmosphere which is slightly unsettling, but not quite horrific until the end. And it worked out totally fine. Tiny started working with RPG-Maker last year and did an awesome job this gamejam!

We gonna check out your game too, it looks very nice!

Thank you! Took us sometime to figure out what kind of style we wanted to go for, but in the end we decided to stay true to Tiny's form of art, which include both cute and scary features, making the game progressivly more horrific ^^

Tiny is currently working on her first big project, also a game from the horror-genre. You can allready wishlist it on Steam, just search for "The Doll Museum" by Tiny. There's no saved release-date yet, but eventually it will be done this year :D

You should be able to play without fullscreen, it is just a recommendation by the artist :)

(1 edit)

FINALLY <3
